The Modern Farmhouse in Stowe sits atop 10.5 acres of finely manicured mountain landscaping and enjoys panoramic mountain views. Both completely private and at the center of everything, the Modern Farmhouse is located at the end of a long private drive just off of Mountain Road. As you make your way up towards the house, the adjacent Vermont barn-style garage provides both rustic charm and covered parking for three automobiles. Inside, enjoy all the comforts of home paired with the latest in modern conveniences-- a fully equipped kitchen including stainless steel appliances, gas range and has an in-counter downdraft for the cooktop, Nest thermostat, gas fireplace and heated tile floors. Kick back and take a relaxing bath in the jacuzzi tub while soaking in the spectacular mountain view or settle into the den with a selection of books and games for your entertainment. The game room and lounge area is equipped with a 60 inch Samsung 4KTV with Apple TV, pool table, foosball table, and sectional sofa making it the ultimate hang out spot. Please note that the interior window shades are on order but delayed until spring. There are currently temporary window coverings until the permanent shades are installed. Outside, all 10.5 acres are yours to explore- including granite paths, stone walls, sculptures, waterfalls, two ponds and tea house. Located just a short drive to Stowe Mountain Lodge and 0.8 miles from the shops and restaurants on Mountain Road, the Modern Farmhouse offers everything you could want for a peaceful family vacation or adventure-filled mountain getaway!

Everything about our stay was wonderful. Our group included two children and five adults. With the pull-out couch, we had all the room we needed. The property is magical, and a nature-lover's dream. The views are absolutely stunning, and the rambling property is a delight to explore. The house is beautiful and very well appointed, with everything we needed. The property manager is reachable and responsive. We will be back!

I agree with the other reviewers: the photos don't begin to do justice to this property. It appeared wonderful in the listing, but was even better in real life. What a wonderful house and property. Every amenity we could possibly need was already taken care of, and the property managers were very responsive and eager to help. Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful home. If we're ever fortunate enough to be back in Vermont, I know where we'll be staying!

Host was on top of communication and kept me up to date. The house was fantastic and exactly what we needed. I didn't see it in the description but there is a grill on the back patio. We were all very excited and happy with the house and it's a great location from Stowe and nearby breweries. Strongly recommend.

This house was such a great place to stay. Our two families with 5 kids between the 2 had plenty of room. The kids loved staying in the basement and playing in the snow on the hill. The location was perfect for a short trip to the mountain or dining as well.

Great house. Three couples stayed for a week and would definitely return. No downside to this house. Master bedroom was great, only surpassed by the view. Short drivable distance to skiing, Main Street and other locally owned restaurants.

We loved our time in Stowe! The house is pristine with amazing grounds and a picture perfect view. Our trip was planned such that we didn’t spend a lot of time at the house but we all agreed that we could have spent an extra week lounging happily on this beautiful property. The owner was responsive and the home had everything we needed. I hope to be back soon!

This house is a must stay. It was really comfortable for a family. The basement has a pool table and foosball table with a really comfortable sectional that my kids of various ages really loved and we enjoyed a few movie nights as a family in. The kitchen was well stocked and the 3 living rooms gave us all a space to spread out. We especially loved the master bedroom (which was a great size) and master bath that was a little secluded from the rest of the house for some privacy. We really loved being able to walk down to the pond and would take picnics down there for the kids to run around. The view from the living room and the fire pit was gorgeous. The house was clean and the owners were so nice to deal with. My only nit pick is that the street it's on is a little busy and when you are sitting outside you hear a decent amount of car traffic throughout the day. But the house was so sound proof, it never bothered us inside. With that being said, it was a really centrally located property- close to Main Street, great coffee shops, maple syrup barns, hiking areas, etc. This was such a fantastic property and we definitely plan to return.

This property is exactly as advertised— the house and grounds are absolutely gorgeous. Four adults and three children had plenty of room to spread out both inside and outside. The pool and foosball tables are also great for killing time between outings. Best of all, the views from the dining room table are absolutely perfect. Host Kevin was very responsive and helpful. Would definitely stay here again!

I can’t say enough about this property. It was immaculate…from the high end kitchen to the incredibly comfortable beds/linens to the views of the mountains. We loved every minute of our stay. The kids especially loved the pool table in the basement. The screened in porch was perfect for enjoying wine on cool summer evenings. The location is ideal—3 minutes from Trapps bierhall, and so close to all the great restaurants and shops on the mountain road. There is also easy access to the Rec path just down the road. We definitely plan on staying here again the next time we are in Stowe.

We loved our stay and the pictures are accurate! Relaxing indoors or out is so easy to accomplish at this home. Downtown and the best Spa's are just a short drive away as are some great hiking trails! We plan to make this an annual trip and stay here as our basecamp!

Amazing property offers every comfort and convenience for a weekend in Stowe. Adults enjoyed the large equipped farmhouse kitchen and gorgeous eastern morning views while the kids had plenty to keep them entertained between the basement rec room and exploring the park-like grounds. Really perfect for all seasons. We can't wait to return.

Honestly, this place is pretty close to perfect. Located just 5 minutes from the shops and restaurants in Stowe Village, this home is simply stunning — phenomenal mountain views; three large and comfortable bedrooms, a well-appointed kitchen, dining area (with huge windows), and living room with gas fireplace; incredible mountain views; a large finished basement with an oversized couch, giant TV, foosball and a beautiful pool table; breathtaking mountain views; an awesomely friendly and helpful owner; and... did I mention the views? We would not hesitate to go back, and — in fact — are already discussing how and when we'll do so. Highly, highly, highly recommended.

Pictures don’t really do this property justice. The house itself is lovely and located a short drive to town, and the views and grounds were spectacular in the fall when we visited. Definitely recommended!

Great property, beautiful house, and fantastic location. It's clear the owner cares about your experience and offers many amenities and touches you won't find at other VRBO houses. We will absolutely return.

The house is comfortable and has spectacular views. We also appreciated the air conditioning on hot days and the screened in porch when it was raining! Very convenient to the Stowe bike path, restaurants and The Von Trapp Lodge. While the house is clean, comfortable and spacious, we had a few things that needed tending to with regard to the property’s amenities during our stay - the owner was very responsive and the issues resolved quickly.
