A Private Acre in the Highlands for Your Winter Escape
Tucked on over an acre in a quiet cul-de-sac in the exclusive Highlands neighborhood, this four bedroom home offers the privacy of a mountain retreat with all of Breckenridge close by. The open floor plan features a chef's kitchen, cherry wood floors, and vaulted ceilings, with two spacious primary bedrooms, one on each level, sleeping up to twelve. After a day on the mountain, warm up in the private hot tub on the lower patio and gather by the gas fireplaces, including a covered outdoor living space with its own fireplace for crisp winter evenings. The BreckConnect Gondola is about 3.8 miles away, the Nordic Center is within walking distance, and up to two dogs are welcome with a pet fee, so the whole family can come along.
LOCATION – The exclusive Highlands neighborhood of Breckenridge is the perfect location to get away from it all while still being close to all that Breckenridge and Summit County have to offer. This property is approximately three and a half miles from Main Street and the Gondola. The trail system is right out the back door for access to endless hiking and biking trails.
AMENITIES – There are two spacious master bedrooms, one on each level, with two additional bedrooms located on the lower level. The upper level offers a large deck off of the living and dining area that is great for entertaining in the summer with a large natural gas grill. The house was very clean upon our arrival. The kitchen was fully equipped for our needs. We appreciated that the owner allowed pets. The communication with the owner was excellent. We liked the location as being private and yet not too far from town.I did need to let the owner know that the hot tub had not been cleaned and the dishwasher was not functioning properly. The items were attended to in a timely manner. We did notice that those who slept in the bedrooms below the kitchen could hear people walking above. We would stay at the house again.

Overall, we had a great time at Pine Needle. The house itself is absolutely stunning and in a wonderful, serene location. We particularly enjoyed the views and ability to go on scenic walks during our stay. It is also just a quick drive into town. The house is completely stocked with everything you might need and was very clean.
The only reason I am giving 3 stars is because the oven, refrigerator, and bathtub all broke during our short stay. We were notified that the oven was broke 30 mins before check-in and were told that "they just found out." We later learned that this was a recurring issue that just hadn't been taken care of. Additionally, the fridge completely broke on day 2, causing our group of 14 to use a mini fridge and ultimately throw out a large amount of food. The management company offered a small amount of compensation, but did not seem terribly concerned that our family vacation had been interrupted almost every day that we were there. Unfortunately, we would probably not book another property with Pinnacle Lodging due to this experience.
