Nestled in Mission Beach, this charming condo for $947 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. We call it 'OBO (Ocean Breeze Oasis)' because of the refreshing sea breezes it offers all year round. The Ocean Breeze Oasis is a large, ground level, ocean front property featuring absolutely fabulous 180* views from its front living and dining room windows. And, since the shared patio is right on the South Mission Beach Boardwalk, it is an easy walk directly through the sandy beach right down to the ocean waves. Look at our pictures and imagine yourself relaxing with a beer or glass of wine on our large oceanfront patio ....... maybe experiencing a GREEN FLASH at sunset ... Without leaving home, you can be sitting right here ..... people watching on the Boardwalk or gazing at the rolling waves of the ocean ... By about 5:00, the day-tourists begin to leave and, soon, the ENTIRE beach belongs to YOU ...... As locals, sitting on the oceanfront patio in the evening or walking along the deserted shore by moonshine are the BEST and most unique aspects of staying at the beach .... Inside the Ocean Breeze Oasis, the tastefully decorated, spacious living and dining rooms provide a wonderfully relaxing and comfortable setting for a most enjoyable and memorable vacation on the ocean. Original white oak hardwood floors and vaulted wood-beam ceilings add to the rustic charm of this 1400-square-foot unit. Encompassing most of the north wall in the living room is a HUGE, Used Brick (working) Fireplace. A built-in Bookcase filled with beautiful coffee table books, finishes that side of the room. The cabinets beneath contain numerous games, puzzles, paperback books, playing cards, and other fun activities. In the roomy Master Bedroom, you will find a Country French décor with vaulted wood beam ceilings, a California King Bed, a wall mounted Smart TV, Quimper Wall Planters, a vintage glass topped, built-in Vanity and two large closets. The second bedroom features two antique, hand-painted twin beds and several of Suzanne Nicoll’s unique artwork designs are on the walls. The beautifully tiled second bathroom is found in the third bedroom which contains a Trundle Bed decorated with a Black & White French Damask comforter with pillows. In this bedroom are also a small desk and bookcase, along with a built-in dresser. Vintage abalone sea horses adorn the walls of this second bathroom. All the bedrooms are furnished with either Italian linens or 100% Cotton, high thread count sheets. Cozy down comforters, duvets and pillows are sure to offer you all the comforts of home … or BETTER!! No need to bring beach towels for your stay at the OBO! Huge, soft 100% cotton beach and bath towels ~ embroidered with OCEAN BREEZE OASIS ~ are stored in the Linen Closet for your use. Our Laundry room, fully stocked with laundry soap, is located very conveniently INSIDE the house. Although small, the Galley Kitchen is equipped with EVERYTHING you might need to enjoy meals prepared at home ……….. of course, that includes a gas barbecue outside. We want you to be comfortable and have fun during your stay at the OBO! This includes FREE WI-FI!! For our guests, we also provide individual Organza Bags filled with toiletries: Shampoo; Conditioner & Shower Gel; . Overall, great stay. Small issue with the sink backing up, but Jim dealt with it promptly and had great communication. Flexible with letting us have a late checkout. The location is top notch and the unit is comfortable. Would stay again.

View can’t be beat. Very comfortable stay. The place was one of the best stocked houses we have rented and we rent a lot through VRBO. Just like others mentioned, the house is extremely comfortable and great for a family to stay a week. We enjoyed the proximity to Belmont Park. We couldn’t fit in the garage (GMC Sierra) but parking was easy to find close by. We would love to return.

Our travel group of 5 discovered a perfect place to enjoy the beach in San Diego! Easy access to food and coffee, and we watched the Razorbacks at Pennant Sports Bar. Everything was just as listed, we will be back.

Rented the property for 4 days to spend time with my son/wife and our two grandchildren. Location was perfect. Everything we needed was there. We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner outside and never needed to go out to a restaurant. Everything was so casual. Sat outside every morning for the sunrise and every evening for the sunset. All the cooking supplies we needed were provided. We had 2 cars but there was free beach parking no more than 100 steps away and always found a spot without any problem. Great location for the kids as they loved playing in the sand. Owner stopped by to make sure everything was ok and I appreciated it.

This property was very clean and the owner described it perfectly. 2 full bathrooms were convenient since we were 2 couples. The bedrooms were spacious with plenty of closet space. All in all, a great place to stay.

This was a very fun place to stay for our weeklong beach vacation! We loved being so close to go to the beach during the day and watch the relaxing waves in the evening.

We enjoyed our stay at the Ocean Breeze Oasis. The owners were very responsive to our questions (which were minimal). The view is GORGEOUS and worth every penny. Our kiddos went to the beach every day of our stay. It is in walking distance of a market and great food options. We would love to stay here again in the future because of its very convenient location and wonderful hosts. Thank you!!

Overall, we loved our stay at this condo with fabulous access to the beach. Nice patio with dining sets allowed for relaxed views of the wonderfully close beach that still provided a bit of separation from friendly passersby. The photos of these wonderful views and access are accurate.
Cozy, inviting spaces. Ice maker, not mentioned in description was a pleasant surprise. Well-stocked kitchen and baths. Beach towels, cozy throw blankets etc.
The place is well kept overall and we were comfy and relaxed, but best not to expect perfection.
Bathrooms were a bit tricky to sort out, since one is in the hall off the two larger bedrooms (one king and one with set of twin beds) and the other is en suite of the bedroom with the single bed and trundle. But we managed just fine.
Super convenient walking access to restaurants, bike rental and market. Really an awesome location.
The only disappointment was the amount of work we had to do in preparation for leaving. It meant our last morning, with check out by 10 am, was fully spent washing and folding towels and stripping sheets, emptying the trash throughout the house, sweeping the steps…. It felt like a lot, especially since there was a cleaning crew coming promptly at 10 am.
I wish the cleaning wasn’t so heavy on a vacation but we would all happily stay again, even with that factored in.

The location of this property cannot be beat. The view is breathtaking and the large patio was perfect for spending the day at the beach, but not on the sand. Walking distance to all the great bars and restaurants. My girlfriends are even planning to return with our kids. Jim was great and communicative. It had everything we needed for a 5 day stay. The shared garage is tight but works for a compact. Would be harder to get in and out with a truck.

YES! Love staying here. It’s right on the beach, close to Belmont Park, and feels like a home away from home. The accommodations were amazing. Plenty of space for the whole fam and a great living room and kitchen to come together. Can’t wait to come back!!

This is our second time visiting Mission Beach and we absolutely ADORE this property and its location. The house is laid out perfectly for 2 to 3 couples, and contains everything you need to be comfortable. The solid wall of glass on the ocean side gives you an eye-popping view of the beach, sunsets, and the great people watching along the strand walk. The place was meticulously clean and Jim was such an attentive host. We will be back next year!

This first floor condo was a terrific place to spend 12 nights beside the boardwalk and ocean with family and friends. The condo was very clean, well appointed and was within easy walking distance to many good restaurants and attractions. We would not hesitate to stay there again and would recommend it highly.

A well-loved house right on the beach. We appreciated the proximity to Belmont Park, beach access, and ocean view from the large front room windows. It was just enough room for our family of six (five adults and a two-year old). Please do take note of the size of the garage in the property description and maximum vehicle size that will fit. We rented a Toyota Highlander that fit just right, but a vehicle any larger/longer will not fit.

The house was as stated. Unfortunately it was a cold couple of days and the furnace didn’t work. With that being said Jim tried to fix and had to bring in portable heaters. As a result of not being able to fix Jim compensated me for the inconvenience

The property was clean and well kept. We enjoyed the big picture wind facing the ocean. It was a great place to unwind.

The only negative we found was the comfort/size of the beds. My sons & I (they are both 6’-3+) think you should invest in some memory foam mattresses - have at least 2 fulls & a queen! Otherwise it was perfect! Thanks, Kim

Jim was a awesome host and super nice. We came here for my birthday weekend for the second year in a row with my parents. We love to stay here because my parents can’t get around a bunch. It is super entertaining for all of us to sit in the sun and people watch. The beach is right there. The house itself has everything you could need. I could not say enough good things about the place.

We rented this property for a weekend, 4 night stay. The property photos are accurate, what it’s doesn’t convey is how comfortable the home is. From the plush couch, soft seats at the high top table, and the beds we enjoyed it all.
We were in town for a 60 mile walk and needed all the comfort.
The check in and check out process is a breeze.

This place is just so functional and the location can not be beat. Everything went totally smooth other than accidently setting off the fire alarm one morning with the toaster. Anyone looking to enjoy Mission Beach will really enjoy this place. Thanks to Jim for great communication and prompt replies to a couple questions we had prior to arriving.

This property had everything we needed! Two bath and three bed was perfect for our family with kids ages 5-14. Steps to the beach, and close proximity to Belmont! All the beach toys you’d need, and Jim was readily available when needed. The only thing, our suburban did not fit in the garage, but street parking was close and easy. Would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat!

The location was great. It was nice to sit on the patio and watch the waves and people. It was 25 steps across the walk to the sand of the beach. Parking was a problem at the house, as the other renters had already parked a large auto there, but there were public spaces nearby (a 4-6 minute walk, mostly along the beach.) We enjoyed our stay.

Absolutely beach front
Perfect for wanting to be “right on the beach”. Place had everything we needed (lots of towels, blankets, pillows, kitchen necessities, etc.). Owners were prompt with communication and check in was a breeze. The location was great, but if you walk up a bit (toward Belmont Park) look out for a not too “family friendly” crowd. On a different note, the place needs a serious deep cleaning! The amount of dust is unsettling (most surfaces appeared to be clean as in countertops, etc.) Also, it needs a bit of TLC, a few small updates in our opinion. Maybe scrape out old caulking and redo, replace/repair broken shutter louvers, etc. For the price, we expected a bit nicer overall.

We loved the property and the only “complaint” is that it wasn’t like the pictures- it was so much BETTER LOOKING in person. Pictures don’t capture it accurately.

Our Home Away From Home
This place is wonderful!!! We had no issues during our stay. It felt so homely while we were away from home. We didn't want to leave. I love how we can walk less than a minute to enjoy the beach and can easily walk back to clean up and enjoy the rest of the evening at "home". We'll definitely come back for a yearly vacation.

Want more of a boardwalk experience? Just walk 5 minutes on the path to Belmont Park. Want to go whale watching or see Little Italy? It’s just a 15 minute drive. We feel so lucky to have found this place and that we had the opportunity to stay here. Thank you Jim and Susan for sharing your amazing place!
