Nestled in Okaloosa Island, this lovely condo for $309 per night is a great option for your next trip. The Sea Shell Vacation Rental has been listed on VRBO for 19 years and hosts hundreds of guests every year. The reason for less current reviews on VRBO is we are also listed on other websites and book extremely quickly on those sites, leaving fewer vacant nights available to VRBO guests. But, please know the Sea Shell is very much open for business and has been for 20 years!! I strive to provide the best stay at the best value for all my guests. Let me book a great stay for you! Panoramic Wireless Internet! Bring your laptop and Surf the Web. 50" Wall Mounted SMART TV w/ COX Contour Voice Remote System which includes On Demand Movies, Television Shows, and DVR! You can also Login to your own Netflix, Amazon, Disney Plus, or Hulu Account! 32" Wall Mounted HDTV in the bedroom has same COX Contour system also. Plus a huge video collection for everyone. Lots of classic movies. The Sea Shell condo is located in the cozy 19 unit Sunset Cottages complex on Okaloosa Island in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. It is “Gulf Side”, just over 200 steps from the sand, no roads to cross, you’ll be relaxing on the beach in minutes! The Sea Shell is a 2nd floor condo accessed by steps (no elevator) with partial gulf views from the dining room, great room balcony, and bedroom balcony. Inside there is a spacious 750 sq.ft. for you to lounge and relax which includes; large great room, large bedroom and bath, condo complex was built in 2000. The décor reminds you of the soft relaxing colors of the sand and sea, and of course Sea Shells. The large great room includes a spacious fully equipped kitchen, dining area with a dining table that seats up to 6 people, and living area. The living area includes a queen-size sleeper sofa, loveseat, and 50" Smart TV (mentioned above). It also has two large windows and french doors opening onto a second balcony with a partial view of the Gulf of Mexico. The large bedroom has its own private additional entrance to the bathroom, its own private balcony with partial Gulf view, a king-size bed with an amazingly comfortable plush/pillow-top mattress, 32" HDTV, DVD player and Cox Contour Voice Remote System w/ DVR and On Demand. There is a spacious hallway with built-in twin bunk beds with sliding curtains for more privacy for the anyone sleeping in the bunk area. The condo has a Maximum Occupancy of 6 people, with a Maximum of 4 Adults (18 years old and above). The unit is equipped with washer, dryer, blow dryer, ironing board, and iron. Many other basic supplies are provided for your comfort and convenience. The Sunset Cottages complex has a private seasonally heated pool, pool area restrooms, outside shower, and a large deck area with two built-in grills for chillin and grillin. The Sea Shell is located less than 10 miles from both Eglin and Hurlburt Air Force Bases. The Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport (VPS) is just 11 miles away and Pensacola International Airport (PNS) is 47 miles away from the Sea Shell. Best of all the condo is located just minutes away from great family entertainment including: amusement parks, boating excursions, charter fishing, Okaloosa Island Fishing Pier, golf, go-carts, The Gulfarium, mini-golf, parasailing, Silver Sands Outlet Mall, Harborwalk Village entertainment, restaurants, shops, and fishing harbor in Destin, scuba and snorkeling, watercraft rentals, Big Kahuna's Water Park and some of the best restaurants and seafood anywhere! We had a great time at Sea Shells. The condo is very nicely updated, it is spacious with everything you need for your stay. Quiet complex with an excellent pool and outdoor area just steps from the beach. We will be back!!!!

We had a fabulous, wonderful, awesome, sunny, fun-filled vacation. We swam, shopped, boated, ate...a lot. The condo was just as pictured on Vrbo. Perfect!! The door code was nice as we didn’t have to think if we had a key/card with us. It was a quick walk down to the beach and the sand was amazing. Lisa called to check on us, as Hurricane Delta was gearing up in the Gulf of Mexico, which was very thoughtful.

This is a great place! Very clean and comfortable! Loved the balconies! Great location, very quick walk to the beautiful beach! Lots of restaurants around...we really liked Floyd’s Seafood! I can’t wait to stay again!!!

Perfect getaway
Perfect location for a relaxing vacation!! Beautiful beach!!! Condo was extremely clean as well as the property and the beach. Just a short walk across the dunes and your toes are in soft white sand. Beach chair service was provided, which we loved and found extremely convenient. Stores, coffee shops, and Boardwalk are all within easy driving distance.
The condo was extremely clean, very comfortable beds, and equipped with just about anything you might need.
I highly recommend it!! We truly enjoyed our stay!!

This place is great. It’s away from most of the busy craziness, the beach is amazing, two balconies, two different views of the ocean, so much to do. I would highly recommend. We brought our daughters here (7 & 9), and it was perfect. Small but very appreciated thing is the WiFi is super fast.

Great getaway spot
My son and I stayed in this condo for five nights. The bunk area was perfect for a kid. My bed had a great mattress and we both slept great. The beach is a quick walk over the dunes and the water was good most days. Everything was set up nice in the condo. We had a great time.

Great right off the beach stay.
Nicely decorated and very clean. Property was great, but some of the other guests were very rude and loud. Overall we would stay again because property would remain nice and chances of having the same guest experience would be unlikely.

Anniversary trip
We love the Seashell at Sunset cottages. The weather was great but hot. Easy access to the beach and beach service was great. We did have some disruptive neighbors while we were there who were loud at early morning hours and could hear everything and apparently there were some construction workers staying there who would get up and leave at 5am and were loud going down the stairs and very loud very trucks. The condo is great but this particular stay was not as relaxing as we wanted it to be due to the loud neighbors.

Everything was amazing, just as described in the reviews from others. The keyless pad access was so convienent, just needed to a grab a beach towel and go. So clean and fantastic! If we come back to Ft. Walton we are definitely checking here first.

My family and I were looking for a quiet, affordable condo on the beach. Although this unit is not directly on the beach, one can see the beach is just a few steps away. This unit was more than we expected. The kitchen was very well stocked with the necessary cooking utensils and well maintained. The entire unit was very cleaned and tastefully decorated. The location was wonderful. The beach was not overly crowded and a major bonus for my family, we had chair and umbrella access. I would most definitely recommend this rental property to anyone wanting a quite getaway on the beach. As for my family and I, we will be renting this unit again when we return to For Walton.

My family of 5 had a wonderful week at the Sea Shell! The condo is beautifully decorated and very roomy for our family. The short walk to the beach was so convenient. We were able to park so close to the stairs. Everything was SO convenient! The beach was gorgeous with beautiful sunsets each evening. We were so comfortable in our Sea Shell condo for 8 days. The walk to the beach was so easy (the main reason we went to Florida to begin with). The condo was clean and had everything you could possibly need for your stay. It has THE MOST COMFORTABLE BED EVER!!! We really enjoyed our stay.Thank you to the Clasen's!!!!

Okaloosa Island is wonderful. My family has been staying here for 15 years and will not go elsewhere. I always prefer to stay in smaller units because they tend to be a little more private. These are difficult to find but this one fit the bill. Condo was clean and well equipped, maintained inside and out. The complex was quiet and seemed to be family oriented. Short hop over the boardwalk and you are on the beach. Do not hesitate to stay here.

My family and I had a wonderful time! The Seashell is so close to the beach and the added beach service was great! My husband and I have two children ages 6 and 2 so it was nice being so close to the beach and only have to carry our beach bag and smaller cooler. It was a great family vacation and we hope to be able to return to the Seashell on our future stays!

My family really enjoyed our stay at the Sea Shell. It's super cozy and in a great location. It's the perfect size for a small group and the kitchen is fully stocked with everything one could possibly need.
Lisa was a joy to work with. She is very attentive and communicates clearly with her guests.

My wife and I took a 3 day vacation here. The place was clean, comfy, and cozy upon arrival. The condo has everything you need, 2 tvs with cable, dvd player, vcr, and a strereo to listen to as well.
Lisa was really easy to work with and she has the condo set up with little sticky notes, pamplets etc.. so as there is no confusion on what to do. It was a since. She always answers her calls/emails promptly. It's very laid back at Sea Shell and I found that to be what a vacation is supposed to be about.
You can see the beach and hear the ocean from both balconies. It was lovely to hear the waves crashing at night when we were out on the balcony. We saw dolphins in the distance one morning from the balcony, though you have to get up pretty early for that. There are plenty of fun things to do in Fort Walton and Destin. The best part about Sea Shell to us, is how less crowded it is over there. It's so relaxing! They have a nice size pool there as well it's a perfect place to start or end your day.
We will indeed come back in the future and really look forward to it!

This property offers the best of both worlds for those wanting to get away from it all. A cozy, comfortable, and relaxing living space just steps away from the most beautiful beach. Coffee from the balcony in the mornings with a magnificent view of the ocean, or wine on the bedroom balcony at night with the gulf breeze and the sound of waves crashing...total relaxation! The property was exactly as described, the photos represented the appearance and amenities. It was extremely clean and well maintained. Lisa is a dream to work with. You can tell she cares very much about each family having a wonderful experience at her home. I would definitely recommend this and already have to several friends and family! The best part of this little gem is that you have the laid back, non-crowded atmosphere of Ft. Walton beach, but it's only a short drive to Destin to take in the touristy things. We enjoyed the Gulfarium, Fudpuckers with the Alligator Farm, and The Crazy Lobster for lunch next to the ocean. Most of our time was spent on the beach by Lisa's condo, as it's everything advertised---sugar white sands and emerald waters. It's one of the cleanest beaches I've ever seen. The condo swimming pool is rarely crowded, very clean, and a nice relaxing alternative to the ocean at night! We will be back often!

My family and stayed at Sunset Cottages June 16-20, 2012 and it was fabulous. The location cannot be beat. You are lieterally steps to the Gulf which also included beach service that consists of two chairs and an umbrella. The listing and photos are very accurate. The property is clean. The owners were wonderful to work with and answered all questions. I would highly recommend this unit.
