We absolutely loved our stay at Mackenzies Peak; such a beautiful location and a spacious home for our party of 6. We were mainly on Skye to do quite a fair bit of hiking, and it felt amazing to be able to return to a warm, comforting place to rest after a long day out (even ran into a storm one of the days during our trip and although we had to cancel our hiking itinerary due to strong winds, it was so cozy to just stay indoors safe and sound because the place was just lovely.) Our host Nicol was also very communicative and kind! Check-in was a breeze and we would absolutely book Mackenzies Peak again given the chance in the future. (Thanks again Nicol for a wonderful stay!)

De locatie is perfect
Mooi groot huis met een uitstekende keuken
Goede bedden.
Uiteraard is het persoonlijk maar de banken waren erg zacht.
Wat erg geslaagd is dat het woongedeelte op de 1e verdieping zit, waardoor je nog beter naar de prachtige omgeving kan kijken. Als extraatje staat er ook een monoculair in de woonkamer.
Het huis is lekker dichtbij de uitvalswegen naar de vele bezienswaardigheden van Skye.
Parkeren is makkelijk op het terrein van het huis
Tegenvallen is een groot woord, maar voor de boodschappen moet je een eind rijden

The Kitchen and dining-room were huge and very functional for our group of 4 but would be great for a larger group. The views from the dining-room out of the water was serene and from the living-room upstairs. The location was key to seeing many sights. You will need to get your groceries before you get on the Island or go into to Portree (we found 2 Co-ops larger one and smaller one) to pick them up after you arrive.
The beds were much stiffer than my personal comfort but the others in the group didn't mind them.
