Location great, just walk out the gate & youre on the boardwalk & right beside that fabulous beach. Great garden loads of loungers under lovely trees & flowers. Never a problem getting one or two, no need to be putting towels down. Pool area lovely & loads of tables & chairs around pool bar. Lovely staff, great cleaning, breakfast great but needs a manager there to keep an eye on everything, constant shortage of mugs! We had a superior sea view room & balcony was full sun from midday on, we sat out having a drink & listening to the waves most nights.
Bed awful, low & springy like a water bed! Awful window ilooking nto bathroom!! We put down that blind for our stay. Surprised there was no kettle/mugs. Shower in bath, time to get rid of that!

Lots of amenities and right on the beach. Loads of space to lounge outside, by the pool or at the grassy areas.
Breakfast buffet was fantastic, a large selection and all fresh.
Room was perfect, large and comfortable.
Staff all very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
Most people staying here appeared to be playing golf, but this didn't bother me...just an observation! :)
Beach loungers are not connected to the hotel, so you have to pay extra at the beach if you want to use them.

Problems with the poolside bar and the late night bar. Seems like understaffed throughout. Twice waited 40 mins at late night bar to get a drink. Staff were trying hard but just overwhelmed.

It's location is its main selling point. The daily cleaning of our room was exceptional. The staff at the bar and pool bar were very polite and helpful.
The self-service breakfast is like a 'dog-fight' with people not looking where they were going. One small child very nearly tripped my wife up in making a 'bee-line' for the savouries. Too many people wanting to have breakfast at the same time.
Additionally, the quality of the food and snacks outside of the breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. Next year it is going to 'half-board' accommodation. A big mistake in my view. The vast majority of the rooms have a shower above the bath. Given that a lot of the guests are elderly and are not as agile as they would like, this represents a huge H&S issue.
There were entertainers most nights. However, the football Nations cup was playing every night on the TV at the side of the stage whilst the singers / musicians did their spots. Additionally, people played pool on the table to the left of the stage, There is another, alternative, TV at the other end of the room. Having football on next to the stage, demonstrated a complete disrespect by the management for the various artists. One evening, a man in the audience got up and took the mic off the singer and started singing himself because he didn't like the songs she sung. We didn't pay a lot of money to listen to some guy who did karaoke in his local pub at home. Management was nowhere to be found. We've been to the hotel 3 times. We wont be going back.
