Location, view, breakfast, friendly staff

Staff at front desk were so helpful. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and delicious. The location was very convenient.
The room was not air conditioned so could be hot at night. Parking is very tight next to the building, but there was an overflow option across the street.

The hotel location was nice, we got a room upgrade that was nice from them. No elevator but the staff were super friendly and helpful
No elevator which is expected in this area, but also parking at night was not easy to find. Other than that it was wonderful stay

Breakfast had a good choice and the room we got upgraded to was modern, with good firm pillows, nice decor and a view to the castle.
We booked two standard rooms for one night. The rooms faced a surprisingly busy street for a small village, making it too noisy to sleep with open windows, so we turned on the air conditioning.
Around 7pm the AC stopped working. At reception we were told that another guest had complained about AC noise, so all air conditioning in the hotel had been switched off. Unfortunately, the initial interaction with the receptionist was dismissive and unhelpful, and we were even told that the “solution” would be for us to leave the hotel, which was quite shocking.
Shortly afterwards, another staff member (likely the manager) came to our room, apologized sincerely, and offered us upgraded rooms on the quiet side of the hotel. These rooms were excellent—quiet, comfortable, with noticeably better bedding and pillows. We appreciated how professionally the situation was resolved in the end.
This was one of the strangest service experiences we’ve had despite extensive travel. While the final outcome was very good, the behavior and communication from the receptionist earlier in the evening were disappointing and puzzling.
