The breakfast was a good selection of items, with cereals, meats, cheese, bread, fruits and a couple of hot items, juices and fresh coffee. The ladies in the breakfast salon were very helpful and everything was nicely presented. Everything was very fresh and many of the items seemed to be locally sourced. I especially enjoyed the selection of breads.
Although, the hotel indicated in their description that bags would need to be carried up the stairs to the rooms on the first and second floor, there is a very small lift. It only takes one person at a time. We sent our main suitcase with my partner and I carried the smaller suitcases up the stairs.
Parking around the hotel is very good.
Although, the room faced the main road the windows were well glazed and we experienced no road noise. Very quiet room.
Room had a nice little sitting area with a small settee, which made the room feel very roomy.
Surprisingly for a tourist area, the menu was only in German. When I asked about eating there, they said it would not be a problem they would help me with the menu. Based on this offer, I decided to eat there. However, once I had been served a beer they proceeded to ignore me for the next fifteen to twenty minutes, even though I was ready to order. When eventually I got a server's attention, she only knew pork and knew none of the other dishes.
Only having the menu in German is not the issue, but offering to help then being rude enough to simply ignore me is the thing that is not acceptable. Unfortunately, we had arrived late at the hotel and I went straight into eat without having a chance to connect to wifi; otherwise I could have sorted out the translations myself.
One point to note is that the restaurant is not operated by the hotel, as is often the case in this area of Bavaria.

Excellent breakfast and evening meal available for additional cost
Two days prior to arrival we were trying to book a tour of Neuschwanstein castle without success
Within 10 minutes of arriving Leopaul on reception had booked the castle tour at a reduced price

The property was located at a very convenient location directly on the Schwangau Main Road. There were enough Parking Spaces in front of and by the side of the building. Everyone in the staff was very polite, warm and welcoming. You feel like a part of the host family. The Bavarian Spirit could be felt in the air within and around the Hotel. The Restaurant of the Hotel serves delicious Bavarian delicacies and we loved the Semmelknödel and the Kaiserschmarrn. The rooms were clean and the Room Service very efficient. The breakfast was also good and we liked particularly the Mehrkornbrot and the Cheeses served therein. The Kristall Therme is also within walking distance from there amd in the evenings one can simply go out for a walk and get lost in the endless green pastures around the property, with cows and horses happily munching grass. The Neuschwanstein Castle and the Tegelbergbahn could be seen even from the road-side balcony of the rooms. All in all a great and unforgettable experience.
