Modern and good location to where we wanted to be.
The rooms are very dark, no make up mirrors and lighting poor.

The staff was excellent, enabling us to check in earlier so we can deposit our luggage. Room was clean, and the location was great. You really can't go wrong here. Its always reliable, what you see is what you get essentially. Nothing more, nothing less.
there's no fridge in the room which is pretty annoying. Also I think the breakfast is very expensive and not worth it to us.

Room was ok - clean and tidy. Props to the housekeepers.
Unhelpful staff. Booked early check-in but rooms were unavailable even though I overheard staff speaking about two rooms becoming available and transferring them between Ibis and Marriott. Questioned why my request wasn't granted and was told 'subject to availability'. I had requested through the official link that was sent to me to 'improve my stay' and that request stayed 'pending'. We drove from the North West to stay there and arrived early as we had plans but had to readjust as we couldn't access the room to get ourselves ready.
The check-in process was incredibly slow or the staff just couldn't be bothered hurrying up. We had already booked and paid so you would think that's just a simple case of confirming identity and away you go but it dragged out uncomfortably long considering the queue of guests behind us was growing.
Lighting in the room is inadequate.
Considering there were two of us staying; there was only one spare pillow and not enough milk for a couple of brews.
