Good Morning Solo Traveller was up there with the best hostels I’ve stayed at of this type! Very clean and comfortable, friendly staff and great amenities. Will definitely be back to stay here and will be recommending to friends who travel to Lisbon.
I think an elevator would be great, and was fairly expensive.

What’s not to love. The staff were extremely friendly and asked genuine questions. They offered to help me get my luggage up the stairs and into my room, they agreed to hold my bags for free when I arrived at 6AM. They also host daily activities like trips to the flea market, the beach, and painting in the park (picture attached). At night they hosted card games or binding activities. Then at 11pm they would lead a bar crawl for the people that wanted to keep the night going. The hostel is located INSIDE a souvenir shop with a green door, so it’s a bit tricky to find, but it’s right on top of the blue line for the metro, a 1 min walk from the train station, and close to several buses, very convenient. Right outside the hostel are breathtaking views of a theater and square with an Lisboa sign and the Hard Rock Cafe is just down the road. There are also two bakeries on either side of the hostel (def recommend you try both!). The staff helped create a friendly communal atmosphere where people were frequently asking where you were from, what places you were excited to visit, and gave recommendations. The facilities were clean and well maintained. The bathroom was never gross and the rooms had some A/C to keep you comfortable (the A/C isn't super strong so I imagine it would still be a bit warm in the summer). Breakfast is very tasty and filling and is included. If you pay for the not so solo package, beer and sangria are free and the dinners are very tasty. They also have connections with local tours, so if you are looking for a wine tasting class or tours around sintra or the beach, they can get you hooked up! They also have a water station for you to top off your water bottle before you head out for the day! The beds are comfy and sturdy and are claimed on a first come first served basis. They only had top bunks available when I checked in, but I could pick which one I wanted. I was worried about being in a top bunk, but they were sturdy enough to hold me.
My only complaint is that the top bunk is kind of exposed, there is a curtain on the side but nothing on the roof, so when people turn on the lights it can wake you up. People were generally very considerate at night time, but you might get woken up if you are taking a nap in the afternoon. Not a major complaint but a note, the stairs kind of suck. It’s up two flights of stairs to reception-so second floor to Europeans, 3 floor to Americans. Girls and mixed dorms are one more floor up (floor 3/4), then the guys are on the very top (floor 4/5). They suck, but you get used to them after a couple days. The hostel also gives you 24hrs to cancel your booking for free if you decide you don’t want or can’t use the stairs. One more note: this is a younger crowd, mostly 20s to mid 30s, so this might not be the place for you if you are looking for a quiet space or somewhere for kids, I personally loved it, but I could see it being an issue for some

This hostel experience was everything I needed for a solo getaway trip. I loved the events that they planned for the guests, the dinners were amazing, and the hostel was extremely social. The staff had the absolute best energy and made the environment very fun and and exciting (shoutout Jenna). Great experience 10/10.

It was clean and social
Didn’t love how they were pretty pushy in locking me into the bottomless sangria package that’s such a rip off especially right after I’d travelled 30 hours with no sleep. Most nights I wasn’t home for the bottomless window or if I was I’d to late so I’d end up buying the sangria individually which was way cheaper. Also the accom in general is more than I’ve paid at hotels and the most expensive hostel I’ve stayed in. So frustrated that they got me into a package I said I didn’t want
