'Demi', a young lady at the reception desk was extremely nice and helpful, she made our stay worthwhile. A special 'thank you' to you, Demi! the breakfast buffet was excellent, nice spacing in the room. As we came for the North Sea Jazz festival we appreciated enormously the soul jazz band playing downstairs in the basement.
the only thing is the pricing just over the weekend of the NSJF. the rates are extremely high and people (hotel guests) were discussing exactly that ... all in all great hotel but costly ...

The location and view was very nice and things that people in the U.S. take for granted (like an ice machine and a tub) were such nice treats for us.
We had no complaints about the Haven Hotel. We can recommend it to others.

location was great
The hotel’s location was fantastic, and the breakfast was okay. At check-in, the receptionist upgraded our room without us even asking, which was a lovely surprise and made us very happy.
Unfortunately, our experience with the valet parking service was extremely upsetting.
The €47 parking charge felt quite high. For comparison, I paid $45 for valet parking at the InterContinental Miami, where my room cost $800 per night. At this price, I expected a reliable, professional service.
On our second evening, we asked for our car and were told that no valet was available and that I would have to collect it myself. I initially declined because we were heading to an important dinner, and I did not want to walk through the rain in Rotterdam’s stormy weather.
The staff then said they would find someone to help. Ten minutes later, when I asked for an update, I was told they could not start the car and that I needed to go myself.
When I reached the car, what I found was deeply concerning. A very young woman had been sent to retrieve our large vehicle, and she was frightened of accidentally driving it into the river while manoeuvring. Seeing her in that situation was genuinely upsetting.
My concern was not with her, but with the hotel’s decision to put her in that position. What should have been a straightforward valet service became an incredibly distressing experience and left a very negative impression of our stay.
