A very friendly landlord who helped us with a few troubles that we had. The guesthouse was in a tranquil location with a beautiful view over a green hill. It was well equipped and we found anything we needed in the kitchen. And the dishwasher is definitely a plus. The beds were comfortable and the wooden furnishings a nice rustic ambience. The terrace is a wonderful space to sit outside and enjoy the quiet and the landscape - if the Scottish weather plays along... ; )

We loved our stay in Lagnakeil. The cabin was really cosy and homely. The location was beautiful and less than 15 minutes from Oban.
Washing machine and Dryer were very expensive.

The place was very tired. in need of some renovation.

It is a very well furnished and equipped lodge, size and quality was good. also nice quiet location.
I suppose this is due to the region, but wifi was a bit slow - we rather downloaded films ahead as streaming wasn’t possible.

2. TV Controls
3. Water Heater
Other
1. Directions to Lodge poor
2. Postcode is wrong and inaccurate
3. All rooms are small
4. Poor inside lighting
5. Lodge(s) need updating
6. Cheap dated wardrobes
7. No paper kitchen towels
8. No foil or cling film
9. Departure time 08:00 - 09:30!!
10. Extremely poor toilet flush
11. Toilet cistern took far too long to fill
12. No Parasol when sitting on the decking
13. Overpriced compared to other lodges we've stayed in
14. Very poor water pressure
15. Everything about the Lodge was minimalist
16. Also discovered mouse traps and a lot of mouse droppings in the cupboard housing the hot water tank.
Note: Booking.com said electricity needed payment for use? Also that departure was to be between 08:00 - 09:30? In both cases they were wrong. The owner/management said no payment for electricity was required and that we could leave anytime up to midday.

The location was fabulous fab scenery peaceful & tranquil. Just what we were needing.
Beds were comfy and well stocked kitchen with utensils, dishes and cutlery.
Poorly signposted. But through the process of elimination worked out, we chose the wrong road. Was told reception was open till 8 we arrived at 7.30pm (to be fair to the venue our estimated time of arrival was 6-7pm) and was helped by another guest as no one at reception.
Was told reception shuts at 7pm anyway after phoning and reading window found the lodge we were meant to be at.
On getting lodge, no welcome pack explaining WiFi TV, etc. This appears to have been removed by a previous guest. BUT Znever replaced by site when
Couldn't get hot water for a bath or shower couldn't get TV to work.
Reported this through email, and to be fair, it was fixed by 11.30 the following morning, but the outside light was not fixed. This made it dangerous when walking at night. This was fixed when reminded a 2nd time.
Stairs and outside table and benches covered in moss some of the stairs outside were also cracked.
My tracksuit got bobbly whilst sitting on wooden bench. As wooden table and benches were rough.
Everything would have benefitted from power washing. Neighbours in next lodge also had issues with water and showers
I have paid a lot higher rates but I felt this was expensive for what we got. And was not good value for money.
The place although beautiful really needs a bit of TLC.
I don't think we saw this at it's best. Maybe they were stressed as it was the first big weekend of the season. I felt really letdown as I love holidaying Scotland).

The location was beautiful, with stunning views, made better as it was just a short drive into Oban. The lodge was lovely and warm and ideal size for myself, husband and our dog.
There is a bar called The Barns, only a short walk or 2/3 minutes in the car. They serve delicious food and the landlady Julie is wonderful.
It was rather dated and could definitely do with some TLC/upgrading. We had no hot water throughout. Although, due to using the dishwasher and the electric shower, we were unawares until a couple of days in.
The couple who manage the site for the owners were lovely and very helpful.

Very cosy and comfortable, beautiful spot and great location. It felt remote but close to amenities and everyone very friendly. I would recommend taking a peeler and sharp knives if you plan to cook. But good value and we hope to come back :)

The staff were very helpful and welcoming.
The location was lovely, peaceful and picturesque.
The accomodation needs renovating as some aspects are showing their age.
The bathroom and kitchen facilities were below standard and could do with upgrading.

Nice little lodge perched on the side of a green green valley. Lovely view down to the sea in the distance and to the hills opposite (worth a climb because the scenery from the top is amazing). Make sure you find the shortcut to The Barn (food is fantastic).

Comfortable. Everything we needed. Close to Oban.
Damp smell in the bathroom.

Everything was so easy on arrival and departure due to individual signs posted for guests at reception. The lodge was so clean and fresh. It was the perfect size for a single traveller to stay. The grounds felt miles away from the rest of the world, and yet Oban was just a couple of minutes drive down the road.

The peaceful and tranquil setting, the lodge was well furnished and decorated, comfortable beds. Heating very efficient. The light and airy feel of the place
The WiFi connection didn'twork, the lack of crockery (only 4 mugs between 3 of us is not enough especially when trying to use the dishwasher). The shower was scolding hot and very difficult to regulate and also leaked all over the bathroom floor which could have been dangerous. That's my biggest gripe

A very pleasant lodge, with excellent views and comfortable beds. Quiet site, with lovely daffodils and plenty of places for dogs to explore on a lead. The nearby (3/4 mile) pub serving food was an added bonus.
It could have done with a bedside lamp in each bedroom and a dishcloth in the kitchen. Maybe some basic kitchen dry goods (salt, oil, sugar, teabags etc).

Beautiful location. Close to Oban. Comfortable accommodation.
No cafetiere. Wifi didn't work.

The views were superb overlooking the mountains. we even saw deer strolling passed. The cabins were spotless and well aired. The beds were comfortable no sagging. We were about 4 to 5 miles from Oban town.
A little maintenance was needed. Gutter was leaking. Dishwasher was very loose and had no wheels on the shelfs so you could not pull them out. A few chips out of the worktops.
7.0
Accommodation very spacious and comfortable.
Not much around for walking without having to drive first.
Better organisation of information regarding kitchen appliances etc would have been good.
When stripping bed before leaving, as required, was very disappointed to find pillows were badly soiled.
