We have been here before and love it due to its location close to Exeter City Centre, the parking , cosy rooms and excellent breakfast. Staff are always happy to chat, from housekeeping to front of house.
The only window you can open in the room, is in the bathroom, small compressor outside is sometimes on. Nice patio doors, but can’t realistically open during the night.

The River was very nice outside.
I had a room overlooking the road rather than the river and it had a fixed to the ceiling shower which is fine for a man but ladies don’t always want to get their hair soaked every time they shower. It was a bit of a walk to the town from there too. I paid a lot of money for no river view and a 1 night week night stay. There were snacks in the room but there was a price list for them.. The bed was not that comfortable.. so didn’t sleep very well. The room was very cold when I arrived also.
