Restaurants, trattorie and pizzerie, supermarkets, groceries & bakeries are just around the corner and a fascinating open air fresh food market is held every morning in the medieval Campo de’Fiori square a few steps away from the apt. Nearby there are also, pharmacies, art galleries, antique shops, book-stores, phone centers, banks with ATM machines, travel agencies, post offices and tourist information points. The apartment is well connected to all areas of Rome by public transportation (bus stops and taxi stands are easily accessible). The bus stop is near the corner of the building with direct links to Termini railway station, San Pietro, Coliseum, Campidoglio, Quirinale and so on.. An amazing apartment perfectly located in the centre of Rome. If you are a couple, or a family of 4, this listing is PERFECT. The courtyard style entrance ensures NO street noise what so ever. We had family stay less than 50m from us and they were kept up till midnight by the noise of the busy streets below. The double security entry also ensures safety for your stay. The apartment is on the small side, but for a family of 4 (2 adults and a 13 and 11 year old), it was perfect. It’s central location enabled us to pop in for toilet stops, unload bought goodies or have a 30min siesta before heading out again. If this sounds like what you are after and the listing is free, I would encourage you to book now before it gets snapped up!

We were amazed at how close we were to everything! The apt is in a 14th century building with a secure entrance to the courtyard. If you have difficulty with stairs then you’ll want the pullout couch and downstairs bathroom. Upstairs is great for agile users. Lots of steps and challenging space in the bathroom . All in all it had everything we needed and we enjoyed our stay. We would there again!!

If you are looking for a place in the heart of Rome that is on a very quiet street, this is your place! Walking to Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, the Trastevere neighbourhood and many other historical sites is very easy. We loved walking along the tree lined street by the Tiber River! The apartment - from the 15th century - has everything you’ll need including heating/AC, two bathrooms, fully stock kitchen (although we ate out mostly), bathroom supplies, an ironing board, iron and more. Maybe the only thing better than the apartment location and contents was the host, Andrea! He provided us with clear and thorough instructions and his great suggestions were very welcome. Look no further than this apartment to enjoy Rome and all it has to offer!

The building is from the 1400's but has all the modern amenities. You are in the heart of historic Rome when you step out of the final door. Shops and restaurants are right there. The unit was well stocked with dishes and cleaning supplies, so we did several loads of laundry while there utilizing the many of the railings for drying.

This is an older apartment in a great location. A lot of locks to get in and out. No windows really and no useable outdoor space. Very responsive owner with a lot of helpful advice. Loved the literature that he sent with the rental contract

Property was everything that was listed. Very clean and convenient to attractions. Andrea was very helpful he met us,and gave a very detailed run thru of apartment and restaurants nearby. Do use his car service
if using airport much better than a taxi. Our flight got cancelled the evening before and changed to an earlier flight. He got car pickup change even though it was after 22:00 hours. If we come back to Rome this is where we would stay.

Andrea’s place was amazing! It’s in a perfect location, we walked everywhere, we didn't even ride a bus or taxi, great restaurants close to his place. The apartment was very clean and unique with its own history in the building. It was quite and stayed cool inside with with little need of AC. Thanks you Andrea! We will definitely come back!

This was a great place for us to stay. We love to walk and could easily get to the Vatican (maybe 30 minutes).. Piazza Navona was minutes away as was Campo di Fiore; the Spanish Steps were a bit more of a challenge and we elected to take Uber to the Borghese Gallery since it was a bit wet out and we do make a wrong turn here and there. Andrea, our host, was easily accessible and made us feel welcome. There are a number of restaurants in the area including an excellent breakfast spot just doors away. If you enjoy pastries there is a bakery right there as well. It was good that we walked so much because the food options are plentiful with Testevere nearby if you are across the Tiber. If you are a shopper please leave space in your suitcase to indulge. This was a great vacation due largely to where we chose to stay.

There was a terrible smell from the lower area where the washer was, the door didn't shut. There was alot of water running to somewhere down there that woke me up every morning early. The locks were a huge hassle. Too many locks to do & undo.

Well equipped, charming apartment in a wonderful location. Close to everything, yet very quiet and safe. Communication with the owner was top notch — from dinner reservations and car transfers, we were helped with everything!

Fantastic location. Owner was very kind to coordinate a private transfer from the airport for a very reasonable price. Quality air conditioning was the hero during very hot Rome summer days!

Great property in a central location. We were able to walk to all the tourist sites. Communication from Andrea was excellent. He arranged taxi for us to airport. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

The apartment is located perfectly for all of the sights in Rome. We got to see so much and it was beautiful as we walked. Our apartment was so quirky and cute we absolutely loved it. Andrea was such a warm and nice host. We would definitely recommend this place.

We appreciated this location, the kind host, two bathrooms for my family of four, and the multiple beds.

Andrea’s apartment in Rome can only be described as phenomenal! It’s hits every single note wanted & needed for someone needing a place to stay in Rome. It’s quiet, tucked away in a cobbled lane way behind huge wooden doors/gate, has a garden courtyard & plenty of light. Two bathrooms, a well stocked kitchen complex with Italian coffee maker, an a spacious living area. Plenty of room for two. The bed was also very comfortable.
The location is beyond words. Walking distance to every single highlight in Rome! Unbelievable!
It also sat tucked into a bustling & friendly neighborhood packed with restaurants, gelato shops, bakeries & shopping. You just can’t get better than this.
When it came to communication, Andrea was one of the best hosts I’ve ever had. It was a flawless & super simple/stress free check in. Andrea even offered to organise our transport to the airport after our stay.
I can’t recommend this place high enough. When I’m Rome, this is your home away from home.
Thank you Andrea xx

Our family of four had a marvelous time at Andrea’s apt. It was very clean and the neighborhood was very quiet. The location was great as it was only a short walk or taxi ride to many of the popular tourist sites, plus extremely close to the best gelato (Frigidarium) that we visited daily.
Communication was excellent and Andrea arranged for us a car service to the apt from where our cruise ship docked and then again to the train station later on. This was cheaper than arrangements we had tried to make on our own from the US. We appreciated all the local information, where taxi stands are located, how to use the bus system, points of interest, etc that Andrea sent us beforehand, especially since this was our first time to Rome. His associate, Grazia, met us when we arrived and showed us everything about the apt which also was very appreciated as well. Response was very prompt if we ever needed anything.
We would definitely recommend to anyone and hope to return again soon!

We arrived early and were allowed to stow our luggage in the flat while they finished cleaning. The flat is centrally located and walking distance to all the sites.
Andrea checked in with us to make sure all was well. We had a clogged sink which he promptly had a plumber come and fix. He gave us multiple suggestions on things to do, how to get there, tour guides and places to eat.
Andrea is very organized and very good at accommodating guests.
Andrea arranged transportation for 3 legs of our trip.
We loved Rome and our time at the flat. We hope to stay there again on our next visit!

This flat is an excellent base for exploring Rome and enjoy Roman evenings as the Romans do. Very well equipped for full breakfasts and relaxing between activities. Helpful folder of local resturants and attractiongs, quick wi-fi. We learned how to us a Moka pot from Andrea's printed directions. Highly recommended.

If you want a location close to the Vatican, Angel Castle, Pantheon, Navona, and other incredible Rome sites, this is a wonderful place to stay! We were only in Rome for two days. We toured using one of the "hop on and off" buses to get our bearings on the city and to see all the important sites. Then we walked and toured St. Peter's Basilica, which is truly awe-inspiring. The second day we walked to the Vatican Museums and spent the whole day there. Andrea provides you with his personal guide to Rome when you book a stay there. He is responsive to all your questions. We would recommend this historic apartment for any stay in Rome!

This apartment was fabulous. Quirky and exactly as per the listing.
It's in the best location, less than a couple of minute's walk to Piazza Navona and dangerously close (I'd say less than 50 steps) to Frigidarium - probably the best gelato in Rome.
Super safe and quiet with secure entry into an ancient courtyard off a quiet laneway which is still only steps from a variety of restaurants and bars.
The apartment is so central, we never used public transport or Uber, we walked to every major attraction in Rome.
Andrea was very pleasant and super easy to deal with. He gives lots of suggestions for things to see and restaurants to go to. I just wish we had more time to try all of them.
I highly recommend this apartment and would definitely stay again should I be lucky enough to return to Rome.

Really enjoyed our time here - great location - walking distance to Vatican, trevi fountain, pantheon and castel st Michaelangelo, and designer shopping street. Nice apartment with everything you need for cooking and an extremely comfortable stay - host very welcoming and knowledgable - would love to return again one day :)

The apartment is wonderfully located on a trafficless Vicolo in an area that is otherwise full of activity. Entrance to the apartment is via a secure outer door (accessed by key keypad) that opens onto a short corridor that is also gated (requiring a key) and that in turn opens onto a courtyard. The apartment is one of several on the ground level: all well separated. The corridor/courtyard and apartment space are very secure and very quiet. The building and the apartment itself are an oasis of sorts. Virtually all of the city south of the Piazza del Popolo, east of S.M. Maggiore, and north of the Forum and Colosseo is within comfortable walking distance, as is Trastevere, across the river to the southwest. For longer distances or rainy days buses can provide inexpensive transport, but thy are scheduled. We found taxis a good solution on non-walking days, and they are available at points/informal stations along Corso Vittorio Emanuele. The fare for two hovered around 10 euros. Andrea provides a Vacation Guide (online and at the apartment) with all sorts of very useful information, including the location of essential services in the immediate neighborhood (markets, ATMs, trash drop-offs, etc), as well as restaurants of varying levels of sophistication and cost. A very useful tool. The apartment itself is well supplied to address all basic needs: on the lower level is a well equipped kitchen (with a desk of sorts that can double as a table), a living space, and a bathroom with shower, and with a washing machine in an offset space (along with a clothes rack). The space upstairs has an ample sleeping area with a double bed that is quite comfortable, and a couch that presumably can open to another double bed. There is also a second bathroom on the upper level (sink, toilet-bidet, and shower) located in a quirkier (tri-leveled) but functional space. In size and configuration, the apartment space overall is perhaps better suited to a couple or a couple with a child or two children that would sleep together. Four adults might also make it work. Andrea is an experienced host. His suggestions on all relevant topics were invariably helpful, including making arrangements for our pick up and drop off at Fiumicino by a transport service. Our trip was a ten-day return vacation to Rome. We saw and enjoyed much of the city (as outlined above), and Andrea and the apartment proved essential to the quality of our experience.

The Navona Charming flat was everything we hoped it would be. From the owner, Andrea, who sent a comprehensive guide to Rome and the flat's immediate, centrally located historic neighborhood and met us on check in to explain everything in the apartment, to the awe inspiring historic, 1497 vaulted space with family antiques and perfect lighting, we were delighted. Perfectly clean and pleasant smelling. Clever use of space to create a sleeping loft, with two full bathrooms (one on loft level built into an ancient winding staircase with 5 levels! One on the ground floor.) There was a pullout couch on the ground floor, which we didn't use. Great little kitchen with everything supplied and great explanations. Even a washing machine, with plenty of railings to hang laundry to dry. Lots of electrical outlets just where you need them. Andrea even supplied outlet converters.
When we enquired of Andrea where we could buy a larger chopping knife and a larger Italian espresso maker, which we would happily have donated to the flat, he instantly bought and brought over both.
The queen/king bed was very comfortable.
The flat was incredibly quiet, situated at the rear of the ancient courtyard.
The neighborhood was our favorite. Bustling, ancient, near the Campo di Fiori, where we shopped for fresh veggies every day. Also a very near by Carrefours grocery store.
Discovered a charming, traditional Roman restaurant about a 5 minute walk away, Taverna Agape, in a lovely small, quiet piazza. Walked everywhere, the flat was so centrally located.
We felt very well taken care of and very happy with everything. Will definitely stay there again!

This apartment was in the perfect location for our say in Rome. It was well equipped and very clean. The Piazza Navona area was amazing! Other than visiting the coliseum, pantheon and Vatican, we spent most of our time enjoying the food and shops right around the apartment. Great stay, would highly recommend.
