Stayed for 4 nights in what must be one of the most peaceful and tranquil settings, especially the first 2 nights when we had the place to ourselves. Other than the wildlife, which is plentiful including the resident donkeys, goats and chickens, the only other sound was the distant church bells from Ceton.
The cooking and kitchen facilities were minimal but adequate, but the hosts were able to give good advice on local restaurants. As a tip, try the restaurant in Ceton, MesDames, the lunch offering was splendid and great value. Having said that, if you take the breakfast option, you really don't need to eat again all day!
And so to the main highlight of our stay, the hosts. Blandine and her husband take hosting to a new level. From the initial guided tour right through to our final day breakfast, her expertise and enthusiasm shone through and her energy in making everything perfect was an unexpected bonus and a joy to behold.
Oh, the other bonus was the robot lawnmower that kept on our dog enthralled all day and night long.
It would have been nice to have a comfortable sitting area in the lodge and cushions for the outdoor furniture, but that's being picky

Lovely location, main business is a wedding venue: peaceful and quiet with no wedding. The wooden chalet and decking gave it a different feel, not a hotel room. Great breakfast, lovely host, simple overnight charging for electric car. All good. Say Hi to the donkeys from us.
