A heavenly welcome after a long drive. Located a stone throw from Château d’Amboise. Le Manoir Les Minimes is such a beautiful property you can’t help but to relax as soon as you turn into the driveway. The staff is immaculately professional and offer top service with an elegance and grace that sadly is rare to find now a days. We arrived late, shortly passed 22:00, and in serious need of a meal. Thankfully, the hotel offers a service called “Les Minimes Gourmets” which allows you to choose from a selection of local terrines in individual jars, soups, which the staff will heat up for you, wine selection, artisanal beer and fruit juice selection, deserts, etc, et voilà, you got your self a delicious late night “picnic”, which we chose to enjoy in the very welcoming salon. This service is normally available until 22:00, but they were kind enough to accommodate us despite our late arrival.
We booked a superior double room and stayed in room 31 in the manor building. The room was spotless, nicely spacious with very high ceilings, and a large bathroom with a great shower. Classic modern decor throughout with beautiful luscious window dressings and carpeting, and such a comfortable and snuggly bed you will want to stay in until the last second.
Unfortunately we only stayed one night.
The next day the hotel was kind enough to store our luggage and allowed us to retain our parking space for the afternoon while we enjoyed the local sights. When we returned to collect our luggage, we weren’t allowed to carry it ourselves. Both gentlemen at reception immediately jumped to their feet and carried it to the car for us! It was a thing of beauty. Without a doubt the best aspect of our stay in this beautiful hotel was the superb service!
Sadly, the only disappointment was the breakfast buffet offering. Breakfast, although beautifully presented, was not included which is not necessarily a problem, but at a cost of 21€ per person, the choice was rather unoriginal and un enticing. Oddly, there were scrambled eggs and baked beans on offer, but no bacon or sausages.
I would have expected and very much appreciated the opportunity to discover some regional cuisine from the Centre Loire Valley. Enjoying the local cuisine is an unmissable part of any travel experience. Even if guests are travelling for business rather than pleasure, they’ll appreciate the opportunity to enjoy regional cuisine. Consider incorporating local foods into your hotel breakfast buffet and showcasing them. As well as providing a sense of quality, this will also demonstrate to your guests that you value both their experience and support the community. You can still offer standard buffet fare but add a few local recipes to make your buffet stand out.
Other suggestions are fresh cut fruit, a variety of breads, a possibility for soft boiled eggs or an omelette, an apple or pear tart, even a glass of cremant, lots and lots of bacon, fried tomatoes and mushrooms.
The service was impecable.

All perfect. Quiet. We stayed for 4 nights in room 51 which is one of their larger rooms in the annex.
Brilliant position in the town.
We didn't like leaving.

great location, a pleasant manor house, comfortable beds. Rooms are decent; bathroom is good.
the decor and “feel” of the interior spaces feel tired and a tad shabby. could use some freshening up. rugs are beige and boring, wallpaper has faded. not a deal breaker for a hotel, just a suggestion to amp up the charm. Rooms could have a bit more pizazz too; they are very bare bones.
