Very nice property with a Fantastic View of the Loch and mountains. The sunroom on the front was fantastic and the view was even better. Loved our stay there! The stairs about got me one night but after that I left a light on downstairs and all was well.

The property was very nice, a good value, lots of space, and with a beautiful view. There were a few downsides. First, the biting midges. The main bedroom gets a lot of sun and warms up, even on cool days. It has wonderful skylights that can be opened, which lets in biting midges that will keep you up all night. And even when we closed the skylights, the midges still got in (though fewer), so we were a bit too warm and attacked by bugs. The second bedroom is a good escape--I wish we'd thought of it sooner.Second, minimally stocked. No salt, pepper, coffee, sugar, or paper towels. Plan on making a grocery run immediately. Everywhere else we stayed in Scotland provided enough basic supplies to get started and make coffee the first morning. On the other hand, the kitchen did have all necessary utensils, plates, bowls, pans, some detergent. And there were nice towels and sheets (no bath soap or shampoo). Finally, be prepared for fairly steady traffic (including trucks and buses) going by right in front of the house at 40 MPH. This takes away somewhat from the idyllic scenery and peacefulness of the location. It also makes parking (and leaving) a bit alarming if you aren't used to it, especially since you cannot see very far down the road.
