Super clean rooms, professional and friendly staff, Stavraetos is in a great location close to the church. Food and breakfast amazing.

This is a fascinating mountain village and this hotel is a core part of the tradition in the centre of the village. Quite old fashioned in style but with modern plumbing and shower (and a TV). Yiorgo gave us a huge room which would have been suitable for a family - the extra space was welcome. This was towards the end of September and out of season so there were few other guests and so slightly cheerless in the dining room. We mostly ate at the cafe Min me Lismonei ('Forget me Not') opposite. We are sure the atmosphere is better when the place is full and the dining room is humming. We were made to feel very welcome. Not strictly about the hotel, but you need to be quite fit to enjoy this village as it is very vertical and the walks involve steep descents and ascents! Nice museum, stunning views of the mountains and the gorge, good places to sit in the sunshine and clean air to breathe. The drive to the village up the mountain road is quite an experience. You can't park in the village and the staff were very helpful in fetching and returning our luggage to the car with a four wheel drive mini tractor with a carrier platform. Once you have parked, we suggest you don't drive anywhere until you are leaving! Very glad to have made this visit - wish we had done it ten years ago when we were more athletic....

The hotel is in a great location in the middle of syrrako. The owner was very helpful to bring the laugage from the distant parking place. The room was spacious clean and comfortable.
For me the beakfast was quite minimal.

The location was perfect as the property was in the center of the village. The village itself was very well preserved and all the buildings were in a very good condition unlike some other villages I've visited during my roadtrips in Greece.
It appears to be a very usual thing for villages at a higher altitude not to have AC units and more so when they are Heritage Preserved. The past couple of summers it has been unusually hot and pretty unbearable to sleep at night making the stay a little unpleasant.
I would also alert the property owner to pay a little more attention to the cleaning of the rooms.
