Small boutique hotel. Friendly staff at desk - also spoke English which helped. Excellent breakfast (coffee, croissant, juice, + hot eggs & meat). Great location, close to Opera Garnier, easy access to metro, walking distance to Louvre, Tuileries etc. As a solo traveller, I felt safe staying here.

The person at the front desk was not at all welcoming and on the verge of rude. Being on vacation, I was nothing but pleasant and cheerful so it was disappointing to be treated poorly. My daughter stayed a block or so away, and as a visitor, the front desk at her hotel was very kind and hospitable to us even though we were not patrons. Big difference.
