This beautifully restored home, once the residence of Jack Tyson, a decorated WWII bomber pilot, offers you a unique blend of comfort and history. Enjoy three bedrooms, two baths, and outdoor living for a relaxed stay. Inside, you’ll find a spacious great room that includes a stylish living area with seating for sixand a TV, adjacent to a bright dining space with a glass-topped table for six. The fully-equipped kitchen is perfect for those times you just want to stay in, and a cozy sunroom provides the perfect spot to unwind with a book. The master bedroom offers a queen-size bed, seating area, and an ensuite bathroom with a clawfoot tub. There’s also a guest bedroom with a queen bed and another small room with a twin bed, ideal for extra guests. Outside, the front porch is a wondeful spot for morning coffee, while the back deck lets you soak up the Florida sun and even catch glimpses of the Gulf. A Weber grill is ready for barbecues. Tyson House is decorated beautiful antiques, creating an elegant atmosphere throughout. Linens, soaps, and kitchen essentials are provided to make your stay comfortable. Enjoy wireless internet, Direct TV, and the charm of Cedar Key’s historic streets. It's also conveniently located, allowing you to explore Cedar Key on foot. Explore local shops, dine out, and relax on City Park Beach. Come and enjoy Old Florida! Note: Please note that parking at Tyson House is limited to one designated off-street space. Additional parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis on the street. Please consider this when planning the number of vehicles you'll have. -Please be respectful of the neighbors and the area you are staying -Do not trespass on other people's property, this includes docks and driveways -Please be careful where you park, don't block people in, use neighbors property, park on the sidewalk or impede traffic -Parties and/or events are not allowed -No smoking inside or within 10 feet of doors or windows $250 fine if the property smells of smoke -Unauthorized pets will result in a $250 fine for each animal -$150/person/day fee for over occupancy limit -Please don’t eat or drink anything besides water in the bedroom -Quiet hours 10 pm to 7 am per local Noise Ordinance -Please respect the check-in and check-out times. $500 for each 4 hours, or portion unauthorized thereof, of early check-in and late checkout. -Guests are responsible for any damage they cause. If something does happen contact us ASAP and we will see if there’s a way to quickly take care of the issue before it gets worse and costs more. -Please don’t rearrange the furniture. -Please do your dishes. -No illegal substances allowed on premises. - Primary renter must be at least 25 years old or active military. - ESA and service animals require documentation and adherence to our policies. - Do not set the AC below 72° or heat above 78°. - If there are kayaks or bikes included in the rental, use these responsibly, following all Florida regulations. Not all units under management include kayaks or bikes, please reference the listing to see included amenities. You confirm you are trained in the use of kayaks and bicycles. We needed a short little get-a-way that would be relaxing and low key. This was the place. Had a wonderful time and the house was just lovely. It has so much character yet so comfortable at the same time. Would highly recommend the Tyson House.

This is well located. Come in on the main route, take a quick right-hand turn and there it is on the left! Quick walk from a breakfast spot, Dock Street, the marina, etc.

Always easy and we love the location. Golf cart was out for repair but we were able to get one down the road. Love the covered porch now! I’d like to buy the old palm tree sitting on the back porch the past two times I’ve been there. It need repaired and I could restore it! Please let me know.

Great short stay
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property was very clean and convenient. Short distant walks to stores, restaurants, and other entertainment locations. Fishing was great and we will definitely come back to Cedar Key.

I'm a Floridan, born and raised, so palmetto bugs don't really bother me but this was excessive. The back bathroom and kitchen had literal swarms of them. We disposed of 15 in the first 2 hours of arrival and then another 6 the following day. Luckily there was a can of indoor raid under the sink we were able to use and that helped. I informed the property manager immediately and then had the pest control company respray as soon as we left so hopefully the next guest won't have to deal with it.
Fortunately, we spent most of the day on the water or around town but the bugs and general lack of cleanliness made it very difficult to want to stay in the property.
We won't stay at this specific property again but we will use this property manager for our next trip because of their quick response and service in making things right.

During the middle of the week Cedar Key is quiet and relaxing. Then on weekends it comes alive with tourist, bikers, liberals, conservatives and baby boomers. Culturally diverse!

This was one of the most beautifully decorated properties we have ever stayed in. It was very spacious and had plenty of room for all of us when we had the rest of our family over to eat with us. The kitchen was well stocked and the appliances were new and upgraded. We were right on the main street of town so it was easy to walk everywhere. Relaxing and Diverse

Our stay here was everything we could have hoped for. What a beautiful home. Very clean, beds were comfortable, plenty of seating. Very handy that golf cart for rent is already on site! Bad Weather/ Great Lodging
We really enjoyed our stay at this listing even though the weather didn't cooperate with us for exploring Cedar Key. The house was immaculate. The property manager was communicative and flexible to any needed changes. There was so many kitchen supplies and appliances were high scale and new. The only suggestion I might have (because we ended up having to stay inside all weekend) is to get a smart TV so renters can stream Netflix and etc.
