We Left Early – That Says It All
I'm giving this a 2 because of the location and the bones of the place are nice. The instructions to find it, park, and access it were very good. The location was good, just a 5-10 minute walk into town, and the structure of the condo was what you would expect in Breck close to town. It was very easy to use the code to access it, and that made it easy for us to come and go separately. We booked the place two months in advance, and the day we were to go, we noticed that there was a very bad review posted on booking.com. I called management who assured us the cleaning would be done, and the place was very clean except for the peeling paint from the chairs on the top balcony, which had fallen through to the lower balcony. It was very clean, and with some effort, this could be a nice condo, but it's not right now.
The effort put in by the hosts to make the place comfortable is non-existent. The place is wired for before cell phones, with no amenities for them, so you have to bring your own and hope the plugs work. The beds are fine, but there are no bedside tables in either large bedroom and many of the outlets don't work or are so loose that plugs fell out. What is there is very basic, definitely the least effort I've seen from a host in Breck, and we've rented there more than a dozen times. Our toaster didn't work, so I reached out to management. They were responsive, but sent a new toaster from Target that cost $12.99. The receipt was in the bag! That pretty much sums up the host's effort here. There was NO comfortable place to sit in the living room, dining area, any of the bedrooms or on any of the three balcony locations. The chairs were miserable and the couch was very low and a rock. Our teenage kids didn't even want to sit at the table because the chairs and benches were incredibly uncomfortable, and there was no way to watch TV as it was high above the mantle with an incredibly low and uncomfortable couch. So much for family time. The chairs on all three balconies need to be replaced, we couldn't sit on any of them. The only comfortable place was in the beds. I left 2 days early because I couldn't find anywhere comfortable to be, and it was very distressing as this was our only family holiday this summer. I want to tell you this can be fixed, but there will need to be serious effort and investment to make this rental worth it. Get new pics and guarantees before you book, we wasted our money.

I would not rent this property again. Definitely a young person’s property to rent.
We loved the location.
The description of the property did not say that it was on the third level and no elevator. With the four of us being seniors this was difficult getting our luggage and other items up three flights of stairs. Also, we had to walk clear around the property to get to the stairs. The desk also did not state that there was only one parking spot. The properties parking lot was half full. The lighting in the property was marginal.

BEWARE! DO NOT Book this place!
The location was near Main St
Filthy kitchen with dirty dishes with food debris and silverware with hardened food on it. You can tell that dishes were never rinsed and silverware had hardened crusts of food-never washed!
We did need not feel safe preparing food in kitchen. We had to scrub down countertops and clean our own dishes.
The rugs, throws, and sofa were smelly and dirty-
Overall this place gave us the ICK feeling.
The pics on the booking.com site did not match our experience. For example, the balcony had rotten wooden chairs with splintering wood. It was impossible and unsafe to sit in chairs and use the balcony..
I immediately contacted the property manager about these issues but they were not helpful and dismissive.
