The hotel is located in the middle of New York and the windows are very thin. Therefore, loud noise penetrate the room easily and often. In fact, I was not able to sleep during my stay.

It was great and unbelievable staff! Love the bar lounge!

Firstly, let me say that we enjoyed our stay at The Moxy, and would probably be happy to stay again. The staff were all super friendly and helpful, the location was great and generally everything was good. They did some great touches, like free water, soft drinks and light snacks for guests at reception each day. Also a $30 daily room credit to spend at the bar or adjacent bakery was a very welcome surprise.
That said, we did have some complaints, surrounding noise as follows:
(1). We had a fairly significant noise disturbance from pipework in the building. It appeared to occur whenever the upstairs room were using their shower. We did report this, and the maintenance engineers did investigate, but were not able to locate the issue. I suspect they didn’t do some trial and error running the shower upstairs. The noise was very loud, albeit it would only last for how long someone was showering upstairs. The main issue for us, is that the upstairs guests used their shower on one morning at around 2-3am, so woke all of us up. The hotel did offer for us to change rooms, which we declined as it was too much hassle packing up our room (2 adults and 2 kids).
(2). Again, noise related, is the rooftop bar/club. If you are a light sleeper, expect to hear the music and bass pumping until the early morning hours.
As stated, overall we were very happy with this hotel however, and would likely stay there again.

Place is a bit expensive but ill def visit again! I only stayed one night so i dont have much to say

The stay was overall ok. The rooms weren’t cleaned well. There was a dirty band aid in the shower and sheets had hair all over it.
A heavy plank fell on my daughter’s foot and nothing was done to rectify it all we got was a band aid and ointment.

This hotel is in a nice location for exploring Times Square. Housekeeping does a wonderful job. There is a daily resort fee, but it’s convenient to be able to use that fee on the food & drinks at Bar Moxy, which were delicious! Would stay here again! The only con was that we did not enjoy the ambiance of the work out room, which smelled very unpleasant.

Excellent stay over five nights!
Lovely chilled atmosphere with some nice little extras at no charge.
100% would use again!!

Room size is small but expected based on pictures and reviews. The fragrance in the room was very strong at first but luckily it went away after a day. There are two foldable mini chairs that were in the room that are quite squeaky and loud. We could not hear our neighbors talk, but we could hear the chairs squeaking which was a little noisy. Hotel room was very clean, and shower water pressure was fantastic. Hotel employees were friendly. The hotel is 5-10 mins from Koreatown and the major tourist spots so very convenient for walking.

Nice and clean in the middle of it all.

The place is cool if you are coming for one night and you don’t plan on being in the room for more than just sleeping purposes. The room is set up like a camp room. There is no view besides that of other people’s apartments and office buildings. The pillows hanging on the wall had stains as well as the blinds on the windows. The bed was uncomfortable and the rooms are not sound proof. I was up for most of the night from the noise of people next door. There is no microwave or iron but there is a steamer. There are a lot of places inside to dine. The staff is exceptionally friendly I must add,but overall I would rate this place a 5 out of 10.

I stayed at this hotel for one night while in the city for a Broadway show and general touristy exploring. The location was an easy distance between Penn Station and the theatre, and easy to find being right off of 7th Ave. The staff were able to check me in a little early (no charge) and helped me navigate the unusual elevator call system. Luggage storage was available at the times I needed, both before checking in and after checking out.
There was a $30 "resort fee" which covered a few amenities, such as a free Polaroid camera rental film (you keep the photos you take) and $30 credit towards either the bar or the café next door. I used my credit for breakfast the next morning, though a small buffet of muffins, fruit, and juice was available in the lobby, too.
The room itself was clean and comfortable; however, if you're sensitive to noise, I would recommend staying elsewhere. The traffic noise from outside is clear and constant, and the heating/AC unit was very noisy when it was running! I did not hear noise from the rooftop bar like some other reviews mentioned, but I was on a lower floor. The windows were also a bit drafty, which made the bed a bit chilly being right up against the windows. Additional window insulation would go a long way, both for noise and temperature control.
Overall, I would consider staying here again. The price was right for the experience, the location was ideal, and the amenities covered my needs and then some.

Smallest hotel room I’ve ever stayed in. Industrial decor that was functional and adequate for one night. Noisy Saturday night. Close to Port Authority.

Had a horrible experience here, will not be back

A good hotel in a great location.
A little lax in hotel security as the access control to guest rooms is super easy!

Great location. About 20 minute Uber to LGA. Short distance to Empire State Building, 5th Ave. shops and Times Square. Not using any public transport we walked from Moxy to AMNH, Guggenheim, Central Park, 9/11 Memorial, Chelsea Market, Upper West Side during our stay. Couldn't have been a better location for us.
Great staff and were able to check-in early. You do need to request house keeping. We booked a room with a king size bed; the room was quaint but we only really slept and got changed there. Would stay again.

Room was comfortable enough, didn’t have a well stocked stash cupboard even after mentioning to the staff but we managed, and big boxes outside our room door the whole stay, not sure why. Would likely stay again when we return to New York to be fair as it was in a good area and central.

Terrible lighting in sink area which is in room not bathroom.King bed is against wall meaning you have to climb over partner to get into bed

Moxy at Times Square is a prime location for Times Square. Everything is within walking distance. If you want to shop, there is a cheap and expensive option. There are a lot of food options as well.

Our stay was amazing from the moment we checked in. The staff was very comforting and welcoming. The vibe all around was a 10 for us. The property visuals was everything we needed for our stay. I’m from Boston and have never stayed at a Moxy establishment and what better than NYC. My person and I had a blast and barely slept due to the location. There was so much to do. We will definitely return!!!

Can be a bit loud on a Saturday night. Better sound proofing in a premier inn in Peterborough. Watch out for destination fee which is a common scam in the area.
