This hotel was in great condition. The AC was super cold which we loved. Staff was nice. Late check out was no issue. Felt very comfortable here and will be returning.

Clean, comfortable room. The arm chair was in need of repair as it was wobbly.

The front lobby and staff were great. The room was quite musty smelling. The bathroom is outdated and could be cleaner. The fridge/freezer gets turned off so the drip tray had a bunch of black mold spots in it. The vents to the air conditioner also had some black mold spots that I tried to wipe off with a wash cloth. Yuck

While a little older hotel is clean and employees have been very nice and helpful

Owner and staff were friendly and professional. Mattress and bedding were well past their useful life. Soft and deep pocket in middle.

Everyone who was working was very nice! We had a leaking window because of a storm and they gave us a new room right away. The breakfast is pretty darn good! Lots of options. Very clean & quiet. The pool was extremely cold but my kids still had fun swimming. Definitely will be back when we travel that way again.

The hotel was nice. However, there were repairs in the bathroom where the towel rack was. It was mudded but never finished off or painted. We could have used an extra couple of towels. The air conditioner could use a good cleaning to spray out the smell. I brought air freshner and that helped.

The room was comfortable. However the breakfast was not so good. There was no butter for the toast and the pancake maker did not work.

The room smelled of smoke and there were dirty towels on the floor of the bathroom. I requested a new room and was moved to a different floor.

We had an event to attend and they let us check in early which made the evening very stress free.

Stay was great! Only one suggestion you should have two bars of soap. One by the sink and one in the shower

I am glad we didn't listen to most of the other reviews & chose to stay here. We were in the area to attend the races at Cedar Lake Speedway. The front desk clerks were friendly & helpful. Our room appeared to have been recently refurbished. Fresh paint & carpet. Fresh hot breakfast options. The hotel is close to many restaurants, and other shopping opportunities.

Overall it was a good stay.

The hotel is in a great location near the interstate with restaurants, gas, and shopping nearby. The desk staff at arrival was excellent. The hotel has been updated in the last 5 years with fresh paint, carpet, and fixtures. The room however had a large hole behind the entry door wall that had been patched recently, and you could see the towel rack in the bathroom had recently been remounted. The damage was obviously not caused by the hotel, but by irresponsible and negligent patrons over some time past. I commend the hotel at the repair attempts. The only real fault I can place with the hotel is of the bed itself. The mattress sagged in the middle and it felt as if my feet were elevated higher than the rest of my body. The hotel should make an attempt at replacing the mattress, and assure the bed is level. The hotel is not horrible, but appropriate at a lower cost. I would however, avoid checking into room 302 until appropriate repairs are made.

Front desk staff was polite and helpful, but the room was much smaller than any of the other AmericInn places we’ve stayed at. The biggest issue was the bed. It was clean, but was made sloppy, the bedspread was in poor condition, the pillowcases were worn the mattress was far too soft, had a huge dip in the middle, and horribly uncomfortable! We got just 1 wash rag, one face towel, and 2 bath towels for two of us. The front desk quickly brought up 2 additional towels, but we’ve never stayed anywhere that we needed to ask. We could have dealt with the watery, nasty eggs, but the juices and coffee were HORRIBLE! They were nothing more than lightly flavored colored water.

In our room the paint was in poor repair. Walls were dirty. No one was ever at the desk to assist you. No cleaning service

Checked in at 3:30 half hour after we could check in. She gave us a dirty room that wasn’t cleaned yet from the previous person and when she gave us another room it was clean but still had problems. Room 304 there was a one foot by one foot hole by the window where the floor was missing and only the carpet was there. Almost tripped up against the window when I opened the curtains. Other then that the water when you flushed the toilet smelled like sewer.

The hotel staff was very friendly and the breakfast was awesome! The hotel is starting to show its age. But the property (and our room) was very clean. The bed was also quite comfortable.

Guy at counter was very friendly - got us a room on first floor upon request, bed and pillows were very comfortable, the heater (103) had a squeaking noise so we had to turn it off all night so we could sleep, breakfast was OK. They were not prepared for 14" of snow they received - there was one path with over 3 ft of snow pushed up against cars and no snow blowers or plow trucks to be seen. Street was plowed with over 5 feet of snow blocking single entrance. Nice stay overall - I'll stay again.

Old motel needs updates for comfort

Great part of town. Close to restaurants and gas station. Close to Interstate.

The property was very nice. Staff were very busy elsewhere so the breakfast items were continually running out. The biggest thing was that the parking on the building side was very icy. The disabled spots closest to the door were sheets of pure ice. Very dangerous. We have had warmer weather recently and they should have used ice melt to get rid of the ice on that side of the parking lot. All the spots were used, so we did have to park on the ice. Very dangerous.

I rang the phone 3 times before someone came to the front desk to check in. The next day I rang it 2 times and waited 5 minutes before someone came to the front desk. Breakfast was amazing. Bathroom door was warped and you could hardly close or open it.

Very pleased with staying here for business trips. It's close to shopping, restaurants, the main highway and the downtown area. Glad my colleague recommended this hotel!
