Yes the hotel is a bit dated but I'd say that can be overlooked unless spending a lot of the time inside, the phones in the hotel did not work which was a pain. My main issue was the customer service.
simple request forgot a hairbrush, the front counter said they didn't have any there but would have housekeeping bring one to the room. Asked on Sunday no brush or housekeeping by Tuesday lol.
On check out day the bell was rung at 9am to ask when I would be leaving, I told them 11am. At 10am Bell is rung a few times then housekeeping comes in, I dress and come out they ask again when am I checking out.
Unloading ( two bags not much to carry for a short walk)I was told by the Valet that they could get me a golf cart as it would be a 10min walk. So I took the cart, after getting to the room I realized I'm in the first building from the reception not even 5min waking. So really felt like they were just fishing for tips.
Pool 7pm (close at 10) I asked at pool shop for a ball for the kid, visually annoyed we interrupted watching videos on their phone.
Valet request # wasn't working called and was told just come to the front and wait that they couldn't connect me to valet.
mandatory valet $34 a night. Later I noticed signs for self parking. I asked at checkout they said they opened it because of high capacity I told them i wasn't told i could self park and had a car that didn't move for the whole stay. Their response "so do you want to add this to the card on file"

It is not in the hotels details but you cannot use your car on site (they do provide a golf cart sevice to take you to your room). What isnt mentioned is the $20 dollars per day charge for the valet service (for them to park and get your car when you want it)

Very old and dated. This place has so much potential but the room we stayed in was straight out of the 50’s. The furniture was ripped, dirty and so old. Carpet was gross and the ceiling had water damage and was crumbling on the floor. The beds were clean and bathrooms were nice. No ice anywhere, and staff was hit or miss.

Valet Parking was $30 day, in addition to the resort fee! This was a surprise and there was NO way around it. I wish this fee had been noted prior to my booking!
Also, while the grounds were lovely, the room was dated
Overall, wonderful stay!

This is our 4th stay at this place. For our family of 7, it’s a great way to go with a kitchen and 2 bedrooms. We always bring a few twin air mattresses as well.
It also has a great resort pool area and hot tub, pickleball courts, tennis and beautiful trails to walk. It’s a great place!

Came down on a guys golf trip. Returned after our initial experience last year, and noticed that there had been some improvements to the property. Overall, this is tremendous value for a golf trip with the 218 hole courses right on site and also an amazing pool and poolside activities and café.

Do not waste your money!!! This place was disgusting. When we arrived the inside of the microwave looked like it hadn’t been cleaned after the former guest. We discovered a pile of dirt and dead bugs in the corner window ledge of living area. Dirty windows made it impossible to enjoy the view. An outdoor window screen was bent and lying on the ground. Dangerous Exposed wires hidden behind curtain. There is some serious Water damage on the carpet and ceilings. Probably why it stinks. The place seriously needs to be deep cleaned. Yuck! Kitchen was poorly stocked lacking many essential items (ie: dish cloth, paper towel, napkins, placemats, coasters) The valet service sucked!!! No cars/golf carts are allowed to park near the units. Therefore, mandatory valet parked our vehicle in an open lot. At check out, our car was delivered to us covered in debris and horrendously dirty. We were shocked. No attempt by the staff was made to clean the mess off our car. We were embarrassed to drive out of saddlebrook. The washer and dryer are ancient and do not work correctly. The grounds are unkept and are in need of basic attention. Trash and glassware littered the landscaping. Very disturbing and disappointing!!!

Dishonest fees, holds are not mentioned when booking. Our room had no hot water for 2 days. Brochure is out dated and inaccurate: several amenities advertised are unavailable. Concierge staff are rude. Beds are low quality. Coffee machines in multiple rooms are busted, room phones are improperly set up or absent entirely. Valet services are mandatory but very slow. Be prepared to have several minutes added to any travel to and from your room every time. Save money and go anywhere else, unless you really like golf!

I knew there was mandatory valet 30 a nught. But the buffet which was scrambled eggs, bacon, and pancakes was not openly priced and preseneted as open. Actually 24 a person. Crazy sine the onelette ladt looked wight through me and didnt serve me. Had a bug in my bed and the aircinditioner system in the closet loudly dripped all night. 3 stRs best. The properrt is nice. Poorly lit so if yoh arrive at night odd to find

The room was spacious enough but the couch was very worn, the back cushions were completely flat. The kitchenette was fine but have to mention the fact that there were 10 coffee pods which is great for coffee drinkers. However, there was only 1 tea pod for green tea, not so good for a regular tea drinker like me. The food was good, but pricey. The servers were very friendly. There doesn't seem to be any sound proofing between floors, the group upstairs had loud gatherings every night around 1 am. Called the desk at 2 am the first night about the noise, was tranferred to security who answered the phone with "yeah, what do ya want". The grounds are beautiful, the pool is very large and looked clean. Great place for golfers and tennis players. The mandatory valet parking for $30 a night ( plus tips) is a negative for me. Overall, it's a nice place, needs updating which they are said to be working on now.

Dated property, but decent for the price. Excellent bell staff.

Marvelous resort. Bar near gigantic pool so parents can relax while kids play nearby. Tons of kids activities near pool. Plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas. Quaint little pool cafe also although i didnt get anything from there. Room we reserved was taken so we were upgraded to a suite. The staff was amazing. Breakfast buffet included omelette bar, pastries, fruits, hot options but is an upcharge.

Property is excellent. Unit needs to be updated. Peeling wallpaper and fixtures are old. Was clean just normal wear and tear after years of use.

The resort rooms are in serious need of update. The balcony was dirty and unusable, covered in bugs and rusted areas with chipping paint. The seams of the doors were completely see through when it was dark. Everything was very old including the refrigerator, the bathroom fixtures, the decor, all of it. The bed was incredibly comfortable but for a resort that forces you to valet your car and charge the amount they do, I’d expect my room not to look like it last saw 1992. I could’ve stayed in a hotel with free parking for the same price and clean new updates. There should be options. The staff was all wonderful, friendly and helpful. The stay was fine but I won’t come back unless there are updates to the rooms.

This property is outdated and needs to be renovated. The decorations are from the 1970s, and the walls and bathroom doors have cracks. The facility is outdated. The staff didn't assist well. The required valet service is an inconvenience, especially with charging $30 per night when you can self-park the car. I would not recommend this place and I do not think I will stay here again until they give the entire golf resort a renovation.

First off , when we reserved the room, it was suppose to be a 2 bedroom suite, with a livingroom area, and kitchen with a balcony. Well that was not available.... even though thats what I reserved and paid for ahead of time,.. 2nd, our room was located in the back 40 and we had to walk there, which , whatever... 3rd the coffee maker did not work, told the front desk, but no coffee maker was brought to us the entire stay.. 4th ice maker was broke down , so had to go to the bar to get ice. And to top it off, went to our room after being gone all day and when we go back we could not get into our room, they had changed locks so our key was wrong, and we had to wait outside which let it be known this was after another walk to the back forty and it was cold.. still no coffee maker , No ice near us. So I loved the property it was very nice clean but as for the service to offer us a ride to our room , none not one time, and the rest , just made the stay very frustrating. Would WE ever stay there again, well, I would have to say, it all depends. truth be told I have had better stay's at other Resort's But If Saddle Brook actually reached out To try and make up for our stay. I would then see that they actually cared. the Lady at the front desk offered a 50$ discount , but i am sorry 50$ was not compensation.

Valet parking, very slow and long lines. Not enough workers

Had to get golf cart to come and take you to front desk to get your car and after 20 minutes would have to call back because no one showed up. No phone in room so had to use cell phone to contact anyone, could not get room cleaned and it took until midnight 3rd night there to get fresh towels. Would not go back here.

This place might be fine if you are a golfer. We are not. The surprise when we got there was, you cannot park close to your unit. We were required to valet park($30 per night). If you don’t want to walk,( it was raining for the three days we were there) you must get a ride in a golf cart with a bellman. They were not always readily available. The valets were quick to tell you that they didn’t work for Saddlebrook so they would take no responsibility for facilitating your transport. The condo we stayed in was shabby and not in a chic style. The refrigerators ice maker did not work, neither did the ice machine in another building about 200 feet away, Not very convenient!

I did not enjoy my stay at this resort! Very disappointed. No microwave, no refrigerator. Shuttle takes 20 minutes to pick you up.

Like most businesses there was a lack of adequate staffing. I stood in line for at least 20 minutes before the one and only person working the desk could check me in. I was referred to different staff people to explain how to get to my room and where to park my car without paying an additional valet parking fee. Room was clean but in dire need of refurbishment. Light switch was broken, staff notified, came and for unknown reason didn’t fix it. 2nd night given directions to park in an unmarked lot and wait for a shuttle that never came. I will never stay here again or recommend that anyone does.

Valet parking only and they took 50 min to get the car. Also charges a $120 resort fee that was not disclosed. 1 night and used none of the resort

For how prestigious they try to appear to be the rooms don't seem to have any upgrades. The TV doesn't have anything other than live TV. The fixtures specifically in the bathroom look like they haven't been touched since the 1970s the decoration in the room looks the same. I feel like for the amount of money people are paying to be there and for what it looks like on the outside the inside should have significant work done to improve and to be more modern. At least have access with the TV to something other than live TV, like Netflix, etc. I was very disappointed to find out that there is no free parking on the property. While I did go back and see that Expedia disclosed this information it's in the fine print at the very bottom after you've scrolled and read every single detail. It never explicitly says there's no free parking. It only states that valet parking is available at cost. Also, within the last instructions of the fine print, it states that there is a fee to stay at the resort that's not included in the Expedia expense. I'm glad that Expedia included that, I feel like they are not being forthcoming, and I felt somewhat deceived into the idea. I was getting a good price for this hotel. I could've stayed much closer at a cheaper rate. The staff we're all friendly. You cannot walk anywhere as far as shopping goes we're getting food. There is no microwave or refrigerator in the room that I got. It took about 20 minutes to get my car because of the valet.

Our suite was spacious and clean. Since we had a full kitchen we would have appreciated a sponge and dish soap. We didn’t love how long we had to wait for our car to be brought around by the valet. Otherwise the property is beautiful and we loved the dining options.

The rooms are very very dated. There was a very strong musty smell in our room. The beds were comfortable enough and the rooms were roomy. The kitchen was nice to have. However the rooms desperately need updating.
