I have stayed here twice. It is close to restaurants, the mall, theater and Carowinds. I stay here when I attend pga tournaments and it’s a quick 5 mins drive to Ballantyne corporate park for the pga/quail hollow shuttles. The room was clean and spacious. The med was a bit too firm for me, but the linens were smooth.
My complaint is a complaint that isn’t exclusive to this location. It seems every hotel I e stayed at recently there is ALWAYS someone getting high on their rooms. I smell weed the minute I exit the elevator. This weekend, it was the room next to me and I could smell weed all night. I wish this hotel and every hotel would deal with this.

Woke up at 345am to my truck alarm going off. Looked out the 4th floor window to see a car behind my truck and an individual entering my truck through the rear passenger window. Called 911 and gave descriptions and went downstairs. Guys working the desk had no idea anything was going on. Met police and got report - my truck was the last one of five that was hit in this parking lot. Seemed like common practice based on reactions. Front desk workers gave me assistant GM number to call in the morning. Got a sorry response with no offer of discount/refund/credit even though I was only at the hotel for 4 total hours since I left after officer was finished with my info. If you value your windows, I would avoid this area. They need to invest in some parking lot monitoring overnight. They apparently had the cameras, so should have them on the screen during overnight hours.

The front desk staff is not professional in appearance or reception. They did not provide details regarding the room, gym, pool , where the breakfast will be served nor did they provide the breakfast hours.
The public carpet was disgusting and I give the food a thumbs down. The food prep guy also had a bad attitude.

Nice lobby. Room was subpar. Bathroom door was a sliding door that barely moved. Beds were uncomfortable and made very loud creaking noises when you moved around. Only ever use Hampton Inn & Suites but going to have to look elsewhere

The front desk lady needs to get a new job. Absolutely useless.

It was a good day. The bed was big and nice. The shower head was nice and I had a massage park and was very accessible. The breakfast every morning was hot and good.

The setup was nice with two separate rooms, but goes downhill from there. The ac did not work, the door to the bathroom was broke. The rooms overall were not clean. About midnight we had the worst Marijuana smell for about 30 minutes. Would not stay again.

Bad toilet. One chair for seating. Heating unit not efficient. Had to ask for a remote.

Bathroom sink drained poorly. Metal bed frame pcs approximately 1”x 3” lg stuck out under the bed in 3 places. Very sharp edges. Covered from
View by dust ruffle. Roaches viewed.
Brought this info to manager on duty at checkout. Less than sincere apology

Tried calling before arrival for A roll away bed. Had to call 7 times in a row. They didn't want to deliver it, then finally they agreed and it was in the middle of the hall with no sheets. Had to ask THREE times to get sheets for it and when they arrived they were not even for that size bed. Asked for a softer Blanket they brought the same one. To top it all off there was a dead roach in the bathroom floor, which means I'm pretty sure they didn't clean the floors because it was nice and crusty. Not a fresh dead one.

The whole experience was just flat. Booked a King with sleeper sofa and got just a King. Nowhere for my son to sleep so we had to make arrangements for our college kid to come pick him up and stay with him. Very inconvenient!! Front desk barely spoke when we arrived and didn’t say anything except what room we were going to. Bed made terrible noise when moving. Parking lot was very dark and in a sketchy area.

We choose this Hampton because it's always clean and comfortable. The hotel is close to the 485 Lynx train station which is convenient. The free breakfast options are great, something for everyone.

Breakfast hostess Michelle is delightful, but rest of staff is sullen and not very helpful. Place is noticeably dirty - room had ants everywhere and hallway leading from outside was filthy my entire stay. Room did not lock. Not a nice hotel, especially for the cost and brand affiliation. Needs renovation badly. Mexican restaurant next door is good. Note it is a far way from downtown Charlotte.

They location was great. Plenty of places to eat near by and things to do. The hotel is being renovated and maybe it will look nice once complete but there where stains on the walls in my room and it had a awkward smell. Also, the pool was closed.

Our room was not available. The property said it was Expedia’s fault. They tried to recommend that 2 adults and 3 teenagers stay in a room with 1king bed, or go somewhere else. It was almost midnight when we arrived after 15 hr drive. After my husband had a 20 min convo about how we need them to figure it out, they finally agreed and spent another 20 mins looking for accommodations and finally decided to comp us a connecting room, which we appreciate, but should have been handled when the reservation was received and paid for 2 weeks prior. Breakfast was pretty good. There were no towels for us to shower. I had to ask twice, on our last day they said they would bring some but never did, at least not before check out. Everyone seemed bothered to do their work. The pool was out of order. Overall, the hotel was just ok, but the customer service is lacking. They need to be more proactive and guest should not have to beg for them to do their jobs.

Bed was uncomfortable and sheets were poor quality not soft or nice. Disappointed
Finish the renovations and upgrade beds and sheets.

The whole first floor smelled when we checked in, the walls of the room were sprayed with coffee? Or some other random fluid. In the bathroom I almost ripped the shower head off because it was attached to the wall and the handle in the shower almost came off the wall as well.
Half way through the night it reeked of marijuana in our room coming from outside and the pool looked like it was out of order for repair but was messy outside.
Luckily I only stayed here one night. It was not a good experience.

Our family stayed here for 3 nights for our trip to the nearby Carowinds amusement park. I should start off by saying that April at the front desk was an absolute ROCK STAR every single day, from check-in to check-out. She was friendly and made us feel like family. Michelle at the breakfast each morning was also amazing. Speaking of breakfast it was one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had in a long time. Rotating hot items so it wasn’t the same each day, along with a variety of waffle toppings and different pastries each morning.
The pool is under construction, but all guests were able to use the pool at the sister hotel next door, so that was very accommodating also. This was just across the parking lot.
As for the room, it was clean and spacious. We booked the king suite with sofa bed and it was perfect for our family of 4. Separate living and sleeping spaces, a table with chairs, two separate TVs, lots of counter space, and comfortable furniture made us feel at home.
Convenient location just a few minutes from Carowinds, a reasonable drive to Charlotte, and the downtown Pineville area was very charming! Gas, food, and shopping all within walking distance or very short drive. We will definitely return to this hotel if we are ever back in the area!

Property is not the newest location but the staff is friendly and helpful, the property is clean and safe, everything is comfortable, and breakfast was good. Have stayed at this location several times because of the convenience and always reliable.

Our first room had no air conditioning, but they quickly moved us to a cooler room! The pool was out of service, but we weren’t planning to use it anyway. Breakfast was delicious!

Booked through Expedia. Room was listed as a queen bed but also listed that the room slept 3 people so we figured that there would be no issues with us and our young niece staying in the room. Upon arrival we found that there was only a single bed with no accommodations for a third person. Tried to work with hotel staff to figure out a solution but they put the blame on Expedia. Called Expedia and they told me that the hotel would not work with them to resolve the issue. Room was okay - found a very large roach in the bathroom floor, and the drain plug in the tub was broken. Breakfast staff was very friendly and the food was good. Not our best hotel stay by far.

Front desk lady was terrible and rude. More interested in face timing her kids than addressing customers. Room description said it slept 5, but zero accommodations. It slept 4. She told me to put 3 people to a bed and that’s how they advertise that it sleeps 5? Also, we booked this for the pool and it was completely drained and under construction when we arrived.

Enjoyed our extended stay very much. Staff was helpful and property was clean and close to our attractions. Pool was closed....but had access to adjacent hotel pool. Highly recommend and would stay here again.

Hampton Great Expedia was as bad as you can get, never made our reservation, had to purchase again from Hampton, fought with Expedia for more than two hours on the phone with people we could hardly understand, put us on hold for every question we had Absolutely BAD experience

We advised the front desk that there was a leak under our sink that was wetting the carpet - no one came and we reported it again when we left. No housekeeping was provided because we hadn’t asked for it but didn’t know we had to ask for it… The breakfast was good. Nice property
