This property is right in front of the harbor. It has amazing views. Very comfortable rooms with comfortable beds. The breakfast buffet is delicious. The staff is amazing. They are so helpful and attentive. I will definitely return.

My only concern was the toilet sound when flushed, it’s sounded like a ship horn. Make sure to include the breakfast if needed when booking, or you will be paying a lot more money at the restaurant

Ive been to Veracruz many times and never stayed at Emporio. We had the pleasure of it, this trip. Everyone was great and it is perfect. Dont waste your time or $$ elsewhere. Thank you from your Texas friends, Grandpa is home forever now.

The hotel is well located, nice installations but locks staff members, therefore lock of service at pool areas, and spa staff consists of 2 persons only, I was never able to make an appointment for a massage, tried twice but did not succeed, for a well know and reputable hotel that is part of the port traditions, they should offer better service

The location is relatively close to “El Malecón”…. I was just disappointed with their check out process, the manager was very rude, he treated us like the same way he treated his employees.

We enjoyed very much staying at Hotel Emporio. I have a comment about the sliding door of the balcony, it was very hard to open it because the lower part was very very dirty.

Easy transportation everywhere.
The room assigned to me had some deficiencies (entrance door, bathroom, curtain rods) that were already reported to the hotel.

Good points - location, breakfast, comfy beds, hairdryer and pool.
Bad points - the shower was very weak. The safe was on the top shelf of the wardrobe so I could hardly reach it and I definitely couldn’t see what i had put in it.

No air conditioner on floors, only on room, at 110 degrees. Beds 100 years old full of holes, impossible to sleep. Not even a 1 star hotel

Good location. Property seems to have been renovated,however, the towels are sort of raggedy, need to purchase new towels. I paid extra charge for 1 more adult and service was subpar. Coffee maker in the room, no coffee. Even though there were 3 afults in the room, not enough water or toiletries for 3 guests. Room door did not open properly. There was no shower curtain in bathroom, it was provided the following day. Some of the staff accomodating, front desk slow.
I don't think I will stay here again. Extra charge and worse service.

This property is run down and the “ocean view” is a view of cargo ships unloading cars. Jose and Jesus were amazing but the rest of the staff is overworked, under trained and not very competent. This owners/managers have let this property decline significantly. We checked in and immediately had to call for them to fix leaks in the toilet, fridge and sink. Water was all over the floor. There was so much salt/grime on the windows that you couldn’t see out of them. We will definitely not be staying there again and I’m disappointed in Expedia for listing properties that don’t match their pictures or descriptions.

This hotel is perfect. Parking is easy and protected from the sun,a few feet from the hotel. Hotel has front row seat to all the tourist attractions. Staff is good, hotel is in good condition, can’t complain. Would certainly stay there again

The cost per night for a Hotel of such a reputation is very high, hence it is expected to have an exceptional staying, however I have a couple of observations. The main door had the additional lock broken, therefore useless. Last night of staying a huge cockroach appeared in the bathroom. Minimum details but again, something you don’t expect for the price you pay.

I booked a room with ocean view and was given a room on the 8th floor with no view. Instead of a view they gave me free buffet breakfast and dinner which i did not need or use. I explained to the front desk that it was a special occasion. For additional money they changed the room to ocean view. It was on the first floor. Palm trees blocked the very dirty windows. The main window facing the water was so dirty, or ruined you can not see out of it. I was very disappointed. It ruined a special occasion. I have stayed here before with no problems.
