Your staff were excellent, always helpful, and accommodating. Breakfast was excellent, breakfast gravey was my favorite. Felt very safe at the Finial.

Very unique place. Loved the Victorian house where you eat a excellent breakfast. Stayed two nights and was very comfortable. Kept the fan running to block out the traffic noise. This hotel is so much nicer than a hotel chain.

Parking is convenient. We were overjoyed when we spotted the beautiful inn up on the hill. Then we found our room which was out back in an addition to the property and was a room that resembled a much lower quality motel instead of the inn we thought we had booked. The room was large and had amenities like a mini fridge but no historical significance. The carpet was stained in many areas and the bathroom and entry floors were sticky. I feel we were overcharged for what we experienced. For example, tonight we are in a large, beautiful, clean room of historical significance in Oxford, MS for almost $100 less than last night at The Finial.

Even though the Expedia reservation did not show up on the computers at the hotel, the front desk personnel honored our reservation and even gave us a discount. All staff we encountered were so nice and helpful.

We like that the location was in a gated area. The hotel has had work and is still in the process of being remodeled. I did not enjoy the front desk clerk at all. We accidently booked for the night before we actually need to be at the hotel. When asking about our reservation, she found it for the night before. I asked if I could have any credit and she referred me back to expedia, even though the hotel had already received my transaction. She just smirked. I just did appreciate the inconsiderate motion, after I realized I had to pay double for the room. I won't be back.

I was a little disappointed in the size of the room . I expected it to be larger with better furniture. It was not unique. I consider it a plain room. I will request to be closer to the elevator next time. I love the room service every day and the breakfast was good.

The property itself was nice. The surrounding area was not the best....lots of homeless hanging around the area. There were also gunshots heard around 3:00 AM. The staff were all very pleasant and the breakfast was delicious. The mansion was beautiful. If the surrounding area was cleaned up and restored I would come back to stay again.

The Original part of the hotel is excellent and amazing. The property was build over 100 years ago and the millwork in that hotel is outstanding. I understand there are only 5 or 6 suites in the old part of the hotel. We stayed in the newer part and that and that needs a bit updating. However, overall we had a very good stay and we would use that hotel again.

My only complaint is we are in the heart of SEC country… and they did not have the SEC network!!!! I’m in a boutique hotel in Alabama during the SEC BASEBALL Tournament… and I can’t watch it on the Tv in my $229/night room…. Not cool.
