1/10 – Extremely poor communication and unacceptable handling of an access problem

This was an extremely disappointing experience and I cannot recommend this accommodation. Upon arrival, the required building access chip/fob was missing, which meant we could not properly access the accommodation we had already paid for. The communication was equally unacceptable. We tried calling repeatedly, but nobody answered the phone. The email contact was not functioning properly, and responses through Booking messages took hours. In an urgent situation where a guest cannot access paid accommodation, this is simply not acceptable. What was particularly frustrating was that even after I clearly informed the property that I had never been able to stay in the apartment, had already been forced to book alternative accommodation, and was requesting a full refund, I continued to receive routine automated-style messages such as “we hope you are enjoying your stay” and instructions about returning the apartment key at checkout. Instead of addressing the actual problem and my refund request, the property simply continued sending standard stay and checkout messages. This made it feel as though my complaint was not being properly read or taken seriously. The property later confirmed that the previous guest had lost the key set and that the necessary access chip would only be provided the following day. By that time, we had already arranged and paid for alternative accommodation. The issue was therefore not only the missing access chip, but also the complete lack of effective support: unanswered calls, ineffective email communication, responses taking hours, and routine messages being sent instead of actually resolving an urgent access problem. Reliable access and responsive communication are basic requirements for any accommodation. In our case, both failed completely.

Perfect for couples/travelers looking to mix activity with space for rest.

Plenty of street parking downstairs. The flat itself is well done and comfortable. Quiet neighborhood, a lively park nearby to take a walk, the “Terme” spa next door to treat yourself to a swim/sauna etc, and 30’ into the city center by metro.

Street parking is only short term and can get tedious to plan so the alternative is P+R at the metro which is much cheaper (4,60€ per day) but it’s a 10min walk one way. The kitchen is minimalistic, we were hoping for more “elbow room”. But these are minimal hindrances.

3 / 10

Basic, no frills. Beware of no wasing machine (located in the basement, subject to extra payment).

5min walk to subway. A balcony.

Washing machine is NOT part of the apartment, despite listed in the apartment’s equipment. Shower had terrible drainage.
