We booked this apartment through Booking.com for two families (4 adults and 2 children) because the listing indicated two large beds. Unfortunately, the apartment we received did not fully match our expectations. One bedroom had a large bed, but the second bedroom only had a much smaller bed, which made it quite uncomfortable for two adults and a child to sleep together. The mattresses were also not very comfortable. The apartment itself was clean enough, but there were several inconveniences. One of the bathrooms was located outside the bedroom, which wasn't ideal for our group. There were no mirrors in the bedrooms, so everyone had to use the bathroom mirror while getting ready. One of the bedrooms also did not have a ceiling fan, and since we prefer to use both the fan and the air conditioner while sleeping, this was disappointing. We also noticed that only two pillows had pillowcases, while the remaining pillows were missing covers. In the kitchen, there were not enough plates for all six of us, and there wasn't a suitable pan to cook a simple breakfast like an omelet. The only frying pan provided was badly burnt and not pleasant to use. The location is excellent, with convenient access to Sunway Velocity Mall and public transport, which we really appreciated. However, the apartment would benefit from better maintenance, more complete kitchen equipment, and ensuring that the room configuration matches what is advertised. Overall, our stay was acceptable because of the great location, but we hope the host can address these issues to provide a more comfortable experience for future guests.

Deceptive, disgusting and avoid at all costs

Previous guests smoked heavily in the room and hosts did not inform us before we arrived. When we requested for refund on the same day as we arrived (16 Jul) and also contacted booking.com for the refund, neither booking.com nor the host honoured the refund. The host demanded that we produce evidence that we contacted booking.com on the 1st day of our stay. When we did, they blamed it on booking.com for not routing the request to us. When we highlighted this to booking.com, booking.com told us that there was nothing that they could do unless the host approved of the refund. We conveyed this to the host, and the host ignored us and remained unhelpful. Booking.com was also very unhelpful; different CS agents told us different things and the last one hung up the call on us. It's ridiculous that we have fulfilled the refund conditions on both booking.com and the host's end, but no one wants to take responsibility for what went wrong, and instead blamed me for depriving them of selling off the rooms to someone else. C'mon, how are you going to sell off a room filled with smoke? Please don't gaslight us. Booking.com also said that if they were in my position, they won't blame booking.com and would just accept the loss. Please, money is hard to earn. Also would highlight that after we requested for a refund on the same day, the host ignored our messages. When we messaged a few days later, they claimed that they lost all access to the previous messages. I have all screenshots and all evidence. Listing was for a smoke-free room. We did not even stay at the property because we have a young child, and had to scramble to find same day accommodation in KL. The sheets in the room were also not ironed properly, and all the hosts did for the smoke in the room was to tell us that they fined the previous guests (how would that help?) and that they can provide us an air freshener. We subsequently fell very sick from the exposure to the smoke.
