A country house designed as a family home, in the heart of the village of GIEVRES in the Loir et Cher in the south Sologne and Cher Valley, along the VELOROUTE 46 cycle path which runs along the BERRY CANAL 15 kms from the castle of VALENCAY and on the road to the ZOO PARC de BEAUVAL which is located about 20 minutes away.
GIEVRES is in south Sologne and by staying there for a few days you can also visit the most famous of the castles of the Loire, the Château de CHAMBORD of course the most prestigious, but also the charming CHENONCEAU and its gardens where all the queens and favorites have lived, and then CHEVERNY and its famous pack belonging to the same family for more than 10 generations... and which served as a model to illustrate TINTIN and MILOU without forgetting a smaller but nevertheless charming one, the castle of CHEMERY as well as that of SELLES SUR CHER the nearest and located along the Cher.
the BEAUVAL PARK is without a doubt the most attractive zoo in France and it is also on the road to the vineyards of the VAL de LOIRE with MONTRICHARD - MONTLOUIS - on the road to the Château d'AMBOISE.

And then the GIEVRES station is also the B.A. historic and recently restored metre-gauge line and which only survives on the VALENCAY - ROMORANTIN route crossing the Cher on a bridge created by Gustave Eiffel
