The historic center is a true gem, with its elegant Piazza della Libertà, considered one of the most beautiful Venetian-style squares in northern Italy. Here you’ll find the Castle of Udine, which offers a panoramic view of the city and houses the Civic Museums, and the Loggia del Lionello, a masterpiece of Venetian Gothic architecture.
