Nestled in the idyllic Schilcher region, in St. Stefan ob Stainz, lies our lovingly renovated vacation home—surrounded by rolling hills, forests, vineyards, and several traditional wine taverns. Right at the foot of the Hochgrail, one of Styria’s “9 Places – 9 Treasures,” a place full of peace, nature, and Styrian hospitality awaits you.

Whether as a couple, a family, with friends, or with your dog—our house offers you a stylish and comfortable retreat year-round, with everything you need for a relaxing vacation.

Stylish & Cozy Living:

In the open-concept living and dining area, you’ll not only enjoy plenty of space and a large panoramic window overlooking the greenery, but also the cozy warmth of the fireplace. Here you can cook together, relax, or wind down the evening with a glass of Schilcher wine.

The modern kitchen is fully equipped and offers everything you need for your stay—from a ceramic cooktop and oven to a dishwasher, refrigerator, and freezer, as well as a Nespresso machine, filter coffee maker, toaster, kettle, and kitchen island. Dishes and cooking utensils are, of course, provided, as is a selection of board games for fun-filled evenings.

A smart TV and free Wi-Fi ensure entertainment and connectivity—even on cozy rainy days.


Accommodates up to 7 people:

The vacation home features three lovingly furnished bedrooms:

One single bedroom
One twin bedroom
One triple bedroom

In addition, there is a comfortable sleeper sofa in the living area, so that up to 7 people can be comfortably accommodated in total.

Upon request, we’re also happy to provide a crib for our youngest guests. In each bedroom, you’ll find a flat-screen TV and plenty of storage space for your personal belongings.


Modern bathroom & separate toilet:

The bathroom is equipped with a walk-in shower, washing machine, and hair dryer.
A separate toilet with a sink offers additional comfort.
We, of course, provide hand towels, bath towels, soap, and laundry detergent.


Enjoy the outdoors—patio, garden & pure nature:

The spacious, covered terrace is particularly lovely; here, you can enjoy breakfast in the morning to the sound of birdsong and a view of the greenery, or wind down in the evening by the outdoor fireplace. A grill is also available for you to use—perfect for social barbecue evenings on warm summer nights.

The fully fenced-in garden invites you to relax, play, and linger—ideal for families with children or guests with dogs. Right next to it is a pasture where, in the summer, two curious calves sometimes stop by—a little natural highlight, especially for children.

The home’s location offers everything a vacationer could wish for. Numerous hiking and biking trails start right at your doorstep, winding through the gentle rolling hills of Western Styria. Enjoy nature at its finest—whether you’re looking for an active adventure or a relaxing escape.

There are three wine taverns in the immediate vicinity, all within a 3- to 15-minute walk. There you’ll find regional specialties, homemade pastries, and, of course, the region’s famous Schilcher wine.

The area also has a lot to offer culinarily: from charming breakfast cafés and inns to excellent restaurants serving award-winning cuisine, there’s something for every taste.
