The room itself is great, clean, spacious, has a nice sized fridge and a clean and beautiful bathroom. The kitchen was clean and a nice addition, and the shared living room. Feels like staying in an apartment which was nice.
When we arrived we were confused because there is nothing there to indicate that you are at the right place. It looks like an ordinary apartment building with a locked gate, and doorbells with just names on it. It would help future guests to just put the name of the Il Plancton Colosseo on one of the doorbells so you know you have arrived at the right place. Instead we walked around the block with our heavy bags trying to see the name Il Plancton Colosseo somewhere. We finally called the number listed in the booking.com profile, and the guy who answered said he did not work for Il Plancton Colosseo anymore, so that could be updated. We finally got the message that we would get a virtual key via Whatsapp, an app that we don't have so you have to download that. When we got to the room it was confusing trying to open the room with the virtual key but after several attempts we managed. Locking it again when we went out was another issue. All in all the accommodation is nice but when we booked it we thought it was a guesthouse/hotel and we didn't see anything obvious on the booking profile that said it was an accommodation without any staff. The people managing Il Plancton Colosseo were helpful via Whatsapp and very quick to answer, but the initial arrival made us frustrated because of these issues.

Spacious room, comfortable mattress, and everything was very clean. The check-in is automatic, but the staff was always attentive to my requests via WhatsApp. It is located next to the Colosseum, in a neighborhood with great restaurants and bars. Everything is within walking distance from this accommodation.

Excellent stay in Rome. The electronic door access system provided a great sense of security and made everything very convenient.
The apartment has an immediate positive impact, with a well-designed layout and well-separated rooms that offer excellent privacy. Communication with the host via WhatsApp was always quick, friendly, and helpful.
The location is outstanding: very close to the Colosseum, yet surprisingly quiet. Everything we needed—restaurants, shops, and transport—was just a short walk away.
Highly recommended.
Everything was great, I felt comfortable.
