Reasonable no frills place to stay.

Good location, quiet. Travel plans changed at the last minute, had to take our Blue Heeler cattle dog with us, and this is NOT a pet friendly motel. The manager approved allowing the dog in the Van, as long as it did not come on the premises, which was very helpful. There is a green belt/bike, hiking trail across the street which was perfect for walking the dog off property.

We are both in our mid 70's and suffering from (hopefully temporary) knee issues. A handicap room or even a downstairs room would have been very helpful. The Motel seemed to have plenty of vacancies, but they wanted a significant upgrade in price for a downstairs room.

Great time! We’ll be back

Very friendly staff. Nice big room and bathroom. The tables on the upstairs patio had a great view.

I would have loved a couple chairs in the room .

Staff went over the top to make my stay comfortable. Working to give me a downstairs room, offering a late check out, where to go in town. Really nice!

Room very dirty, with stains and cigarette burns on the bed cover and chair, very sketchy neighborhood. The power went out in the middle of our stay at 10:30pm, and nobody was at the reception to help us and they were not answering their phone. We called booking.com, and they told us we'd get a full refund or the property would pay for an alternate accommodation, so we left and stayed at a different hotel that had power. After numerous phone calls with booking.com, they weren't able to process the refund, because the property claimed that we actually stayed there, when we didn't. So not only was the property really unprofessional and dishonest, booking.com took the hotel's word for it instead of ours, even though we called them during our stay whereas the hotel was not answering their phone. "Great" job from both the property and booking.com. Would never stay at this hotel or use booking.com again.

They had a fridge and microwave and nice bathroom.

No hand soap or hair dryer in room. Shower curtain was too short and water would come out.

It was a pleasant stay. Negatives: Offered no coffee, room was very dark. Needed updating. Positives: Very nice bathroom

Close to beaches and boardwalk.

No coffee in the room! Parking lot was shabby, needs resurfacing.

Ok, but wouldn't recommend property until major reno is done

While the motel was an older property, there needs to be major upgrades. The room had a wood floor. However, the cleaning person Didn't clean it well. There was residue on the floor. which left bare feet Dirty. So, either the cleaner used too much cleaner and /or didn't rinse the floor. Room not up to "par". ,

Did the job for one night

The room was clean and provided everything I needed.

The toilet was clogged, the surrounding/area was not the best I guess (though I didn't had any bad experience).

Decent budget hote for a night or two. close to a lot of attractions and downtown.

easy check in. no issues with parking.

Was the most affordable motel I stayed in during my trip (although could feel it was on the nore budget end of places). Comfortable enough though for a night, and not too far to walk to the waterfront.

They seem to be rebranding, so the motel has a new name (which was a little confusing when finding it). Furniture did seem on the cheap end - mostly annoying was the bed with sheet metal base I kept kicking when walking by - no gap under the bed so was noisy every time I hit it. Fine for a night though.

The room was upstairs but there’s no elevator. The room did not have a coffee pot and/or coffee. The best I can say is that it was clean. Would I stay there again…probably not.

Couldn't have asked for a better hotel

I had made my reservations and paid for everything then saw some reviews that had made me a little worried that I might have made a wrong decision but it was too late to back out I even had some anxiety about possibly staying there but once I got there the front desk guy was exceptional he was so nice and had a smile each and every day always asked if there was anything I needed my room was clean I was very comfortable very welcomed I don't have a bad thing to say about my stay I really enjoyed myself and I will definitely book there again

Adequate but won't return

Staff professional. Parking readily available. Big shower. Good water pressure. Sufficient number of towels. Television and remote worked to satisfaction. Wifi worked to satisfaction.

Like many modest motels, the room (119) needs a good general cleaning. A previous guest's ice cream was left in the freezer. The cushion on the bedroom chair had big stains. The only cleaning products in the bathroom were cheap, small bars of soap. There wasn't shampoo. The closet had a strong, unpleasant odor. The walls of the room and behind the door in the bathroom need cleaning.

overall, I felt safe and room was not as bad as I thought it would be. definitely exceeded my expectations.

I liked how close it was to Santa Cruz beach boardwalk. I also liked that it had a fridge and microwave that work.

there was a lot of noise from neighbors.
