The location is perfect!!
Nothing! We knew when we booked that the bathroom would be separate but that was it.

Everything. Unlimited coffee and tea available in the lobby at all times . Great bar next door. The hotel is also easily reached by bus. Fisherman’s wharf is at short walking distance.
There was no breakfast. There was no black tea only non-caffeinated teas. I got my own tea.

Bathroom outside the bedroom, not specified. Weird smell. Impossible key system that made my stay a nightmare.

Comfortable room Good to have coffee facilities downstairs. Did not meet a single staff member which is not very welcoming.
Lack of personal hospitality.
The toilet didn’t flush on the last night. Didn’t know what to do.

loved the location - so many nice bars & restaurants close by. Also a short walk to fisherman’s wharf.
We found our stay very comfortable, great bed & good size room.

You get an electronic key which never works first time. The room is very very small and when you sit on the loo your knees hit the door. Very very small.. not good at all for adults of any size at all. And very expensive for what you get
The size of the loo, the key, the size of the room is very very small

Close to some main attractions in San Francisco. Very clean hotel and room service every day with fresh towels.
No English Breakfast teabags!

Location was great, was great value for money.
The app for the key was a nightmare, if we hadn't of had a US sim card (only by chance we ended up getting one) then it would of been impossible.
The room was a little smaller then what I had expected.

I liked how quaint it was. It felt very comfortable, and the atmosphere was great! I also loved the bathroom. It was not IN my room, and that was a little different than I've had before, but the bathroom was big, and I loved the shampoo and conditioner provided. There was a little basket with all the extras. Including ear plugs! Which is thoughtful since this city is not quiet. I also thought the water in the room was fantastic! It really looks just like the website photos!
It was warmer than I'd like and my fan wouldn't turn on, and the staff couldn't find a new battery for the remote. But that was small dislike. I also didn't like that there wasn't an iron in my room. But they were available when staff was there.

The location was perfect. The rooms had everything you needed.
I wished the breakfast bar was back up and running. For the price of the accommodation it would have been fitting to even have prepackaged breakfast options.

the location
The shower was only tepid.
The TV was tiny, which might have been OK except that the reception was so bad it was unwatchable

Location perfect for what I was doing
A chair in the room. Several others had trouble getting into their rooms

location, clean, quiet
no place to pull up( temporary parking) to unload. Wad told there WAS a place to unload right outside. Had a difficult time getting in as it is a self check in hotel, no one on sight which was very inconvenient. Parking garage not that close.

I loved the location of this hotel, it was within walking distance of a great neighborhood with many restaurants, bars and fun activities.
This hotel is an older building, so you can sometimes hear the other guests. It wasn't bothersome to me.

good location
it smelled of cheese, untidy, stains on the carpet, noisy neighbours.

there is no human on call to field problems.... there was no heat in our room, and we froze to death. there were no extra blankets in the closets, we piled the towels on our bed to try and stay warm. And after I complained, they gave us a $ 50 credit for our woes.

The hotel is very well located. The room was clean and very silent.
I hated the hotel system, which is completely digital and has no one to welcome you or help you in case of an emergency. We checked in using an app that was only on my iPhone (my husband had trouble installing the app on his Android phone). The only way to open the room was with the App, so if my phone runs out of battery or if I lose or forget my phone inside the room, it would not be possible to open the room from the outside. The bathroom was separate from the bedroom and they left only one key for me and my husband. Unfortunately, I closed the bathroom door with the key inside the bathroom and there was no one to help me. The hotel did not respond to my message in the booking system quickly enough and my husband had to pee in a bottle overnight. I really hated that there was no one at reception to help us. They must hire at least one person to stay there to receive you and give you all the necessary information and directions. I would never go back to this hotel.

Absolutely petfect location in North Beach. Short walk to Chinatown and Union Square with incredible restaurants right in the neighborhood.

Extremely charming hotel. It had a classic look that compliments North Beach very well. The check-in process was quick and easy. The location is right off the park, so if you're looking for a place to stay in North Beach, you can't do better.
The app used for accessing your room, checking in, and checking out is great. The only quirk is you need a phone number that you have access to to be able to use it. Just a heads up for those international travelers who might make this booking with a different number or might not have access to text messages while abroad.

The room was nicely decorated that we liked
When we arrived at night 2 days before Christmas the room was not heated. It was very cold and took about 10 hours to heat it up. We had to sleep in our jumper to keep warm. Only a thin blanket was provided, no extra blanket was in the room. The room was named a deluxe room. It was so small when we opened our luggage practically we could not move in the room. It was very disappointing experience. No parking around
