The hotel air-conditioning was switched off without warning on Monday 5 October. Instead, the system pumped out hot (not warm) air resulting in the room heating to over 27C making it ridiculously hot to sleep. I complained, but nothing was done. I refused payment. The hotel staff accepted that their actions were unreasonable and cancelled all charges for the final night of my stay. This was a great pity, upto that point my family had enjoyed a wonderful stay at L'Approdo (I had booked 3 rooms)

Location excellent. Parked the car for 6 days walked and used the boat ferry. Everywhere clean. Food good, breakfast excellent. Staff attentive. Plenty of places to relax. Lago80 adjacent great place for food and cocktails. Swimming pool amazing. Rooms spacious with good ensuite.

I picked this hotel bc of the full size pool and location by the lake with swiming access. Beutiful outdoor area to hang and swim.
My room was one those "garden wiew" rooms. Those are at the side and back, overlooking aircon units, domes and fire exits, no garden in sight. I would go for a lake wiew room. The only openable window was the sliding door, but with no bug schreen. This hotel room and the first floor areas are a bit damp and moldy, normal in this climate. Us mold sensitive like to sleep with an open window, which was not possible, there are bugs.

Staff v nice. Breakfast good. Location good.
The big problem was that the air conditioning in our room didn’t work & we had a very uncomfortable night. You could tell that this was a common problem for them but during a heatwave it means you can’t sleep.
