If you are looking for a central location with outstanding food, entertainment and sights to see, this is it. Old world charm set with all the amenities you will need even for a longer stay. We stayed a month and enjoyed every minute. The host was outstanding. She offered ideas and provided community entertainment updates that we might have otherwise missed. The host did everything possible to make our stay comfortable. A small 24 hour store is located only a few feet from the front door making the provisioning easy. Would I stay here again? The answer is a definite YES.

Stayed for 2 nights in late May 2026. Great location- numerous shops and restaurants and supermarket - all very close. Easy walking distance to many of the major sites.Antonia was often available via text. I’d recommend it! Carole

Antonio was a very kind and thoughtful host and the apartment right is next to lots of great shops and restaurants. Those are huge positives and the reason I didn’t take off more than 2 stars, but it’s extremely noisy late and night and early morning. Yes, you are on a busy street so you should expect some noise, which usually doesn’t bother us - we are not light sleepers and have stayed in other busy locations, including in Rome, Paris, Barcelona, Montreal etc. However, this was quite bad. Between loud cars and motorcycles late at night and early morning, loud drunken people shouting and cursing after midnight in the street… needless to say, we didn’t sleep well. Also, this apartment is a lot older than it looks in the photos. While it definitely has charm, it is in need of updating and the beds were not very comfortable. There is also an odd smell. The shower leaks, and Antonia did say they were working on fixing that. The entry to the building is quite dirty and dark, which is not Antonia’s fault, but it’s something to be aware of as it doesn’t exactly feel warm and welcoming when you first arrive.
