About this condo rental
Situated in Barcelona, this lovely condo for £238 per night is a great choice for your next trip. Apartment description - 4 bedroom newly renovated apartment with 3 full bathrooms. The large master suite has a king-size bed (180x200cm). The ceilings in the master bedroom and living area are over 4 meters high (approx. 14 feet) and an en-suite bathroom, with sink, shower, and toilet. The second bedroom has two single beds (80x190cm) and also an en-suite bathroom, with sink, shower, and toilet. The third bedroom has two single beds (90x200cm), and is divided into 2 levels. The upper loft area has steep stairs to reach it (see photo). The third bathroom is accessible from hallway and has a sink, bathtub, and toilet. Stairs in the entry hall of the apartment lead up to the fourth bedroom, which has one double bed (140x190cm) and ONE day-bed (80x190cm). Please note that the ceiling height on the upper apartment level is 190cm (a little over 6 feet). For maximum comfort this apartment has central air-conditioning, with vents in all of the bedrooms, and in the living and dining room. The living room has a very nice leather sofa and a 37" flat screen TV. There is also a 37" flat screen TV in the master bedroom. There are a few Satellite stations: You can watch CNN International in English, plus three BBC channels and local channels. The kitchenette has microwave oven, 2 burner stovetop, full-size refrigerator, kettle, and coffee-maker. There is a laundry room with a separate washing machine and dryer. The apartment has a balcony with seating and there is also access to the furnished roof terrace, with monument views. Location - The apartment is in the historical part of the Eixample area, at short distance and midway from the Sagrada Familia temple and Passeig de Gracia shopping. Transportation - Near Verdaguer metro station (on yellow and blue lines) and several bus lines. Very easy to get to by taxi. Accessibility - 1 floor above street level. Elevator Noise levels - Façade windows have double glazing, but there can be some street (traffic) noise in the living area. None of the bedrooms have any traffic noise. Occupancy - The apartment is ideally suited for 6-8 people. Please note the dining table only fits 6 people and the kitchen is small, so this apartment is not appropriate for making meals for big groups. It can sleep up to 9 maximum. **IMPORTANT - There is a strict requirement that at least 2-3 guests over 30yo MUST accompany the group if the group is under 30yo age limit. There are no age limits for FAMILY GROUPS WITH KIDS. Families with kids are welcome without any exceptions. We have baby cot(s) and high chair(s) at no extra cost.** Check-in and check-out - The apartment will be ready for you at 16:00 for occupancy. You can drop your bags from 8am in the office downstairs. There is no extra fee for nighttime check-in. Check-out time is 11:00am. Management - We are a small family company. Lauren is from Dallas, TX and Fernando is from Barcelona, Spain. We currently run 25 holiday apartments in Barcelona, 2 furnished homes in Dallas and 4 holiday apartments in Istanbul. We apply our same high standards in every country. Reservations - We conduct reservations by email, so there is a written record of all communications and much less room for error. We stayed for a month in this apartment. Overall, highly recommended. We were two families of 4, and the 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms worked great for all. The location is super, walking distance to many areas and with lots of public transportation. The apartment is well furnished and has everything you need. One caveat if you enjoy cooking, the kitchen is very small, with only 2 burners. Internet is slow and sometimes can’t connect but the property manager installed a new router that worked a bit better. The property manager is very responsive. And last but not least, the views from the roof terrace are wonderful, many a sunset spent admiring the Sagrada Familia.

We had an amazing time. Location was perfect for getting around town. Plenty of restaurants and supermarkets. We had everything we needed.our teenagers even went out on their own. Lilianaand Fernando we definitely want to go back. We had so much fun definitely left our hear in Barcelona!! Gracias

Great neighborhood apartment!
Our family of 5 with 3 adult children had plenty of room to spread out and be comfortable. 4 bedrooms and 4 baths so no competition for bathroom time. Walking distance to subway and La Sagrada Familia. Our only frustration was very slow intermittent WiFi.

The property was great for our two families ( four adults and four children over 12 ) . Great location with excellent cafe called Kook just outside, with great breakfast and lunch menu. The bedrooms and bathrooms were great, communal living area a little on the small side for everyone together at once. Overall this did not impact on our stay. Great views from the roof top. Would definitely come back.

Old City charm with modern amenities and warmth.
Great location, very responsive and accommodating host, lovely unit. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There is a fantastic view from the rooftop with table and chairs to enjoy the breathtaking views of the city skyline. An unexpected but very welcome surprise. An old City building moderized to accommodate visitors wanting to experience Barcelona's culture. Not fancy but just right for our group. It definitely worked well for us.

Centrally locationed. Excellent air conditioning. Near metro. Neet spot up on the roof terrace. But a very small kitchen cooking area for the number of people that the apartment accommodated. Otherwise, plenty of room. Apartment was neat, clean and uncluttered. Washing machine and dryer worked well. Bedrooms are located away from the street, so they are quiet at night. Beautiful high ceilings.
The taxis were on strike and we had to find our way from the airport to the apartment. Owners provided excellent instructions for how tO get there and entrance procedures.

Large property, convenient location
Large roomy apartment for our whole family. Having a washer and dryer was convenient but more towels than one per person would be nice as we were in Barcelona to see the sights not tend the washer and dryer.

Good apartment, excellent location
We had an overall very good experience with the Negre´s apartment. The location is fantastic, the metro station 1 block away, everything withing walking distance and cafes and restaurants next door.
The apartment its self is spacious, we were 9 and that´s not an easy number. It had what was listed, most of the beds were good, the pillows not so much, I would suggest an upgrade.
The living area was ok for us but a little crowded so we managed between the living room which is sapcious and the dinning room that sits 4. Some of the bathrooms were better than others in terms of space, but it was clean and had enough linens. The master bedroom has floor to ceiling windows with a thin drape, but they are good ventilation. I´m not sure if he neighbors could see us ;)
We discovered the A/C the day before leaving. In general it´s a good choice for a big croud. Not fancy but comfortable.
In general I would recomend it.

Such a beautiful property in a great location!
My group and I loved this property and the surrounding area. It slept 8 of us perfectly and had 4 spacious bathrooms as well great shower water pressure. The neighbors seem to be a little loud in the mornings and one of them has a dog that barks from late evening until mid morning. Additionally, a variety of WiFi options are offered upon checking in however none of them work very well which is an inconvenience for guests who are visiting internationally with little service. The surrounding area was safe and cabs were always in close vacinity making transportation anywhere quite easy. Cute restaurants and stores within walking distance made for a fun and relaxing time. Highly recommend this listing if you plan on visiting Barcelona with a group!

Barcelona adventure
The apartment bedrooms worked well for our three couples. Kitchen and living area were a little crowded but OK. Wireless access was not adequate for more than two of us to be online. We could not connect to any of the BCN Negre networks listed. This was problematic for work contacts.

Great location and a very comfortable flat
My wife and I traveled with our three young adult children. The apartment was just what we were looking for. It was an easy walk to the Segrada Familia and to the waterfront for us and we were able to easily enjoy beautiful and vibrant Barcelona. We would certainly recommend this apartment to all who ask.

Great Location!
Spacious apartment in a great location. It was a great place for our multi generational family to stay. We had some trouble getting in contact with the greeter and the WIFI was very undependable, but other than that, a great place to stay.
We had great meals at Creyon Cafe (right across the street) and at A Gianni (right down the street), and also at Salamanca in the Barcoeloneta district.

Nice propety
Very spacious and well located. Clean and has all the equipment necessary for a pleasant stay. Owners were responsive to our questions. My only other comment is that the WiFi was not very good. Other than that I would recommend this property to others.

Great location, spacious apartment, updated bathrooms and kitchen.
This apartment is a great meeting spot for a group touring Barcelona. It is within walking distance from the metro and attractions like Segrada Familia. We arrived by train from France and the apartment is 4 stops away from Estasio Sants. The entry codes for the apartment make for easy access (rather than keys). There's ample restaurants, cafes, and super mercats nearby. Our favorite was right across the street - Creyón Café. Shopping is close by along with bus tours. This property is definitely recommended for anyone visiting Barcelona.

Roomy but come inconveniences
Wish I could give half stars because this is really a 3.5 star rating for me. Building and apartment have so much character and the mosaic floor through out the apartment is beautiful. That being said the floor seemed dirty. Walking around on it made our feet very black without shoes. Definitely would need to bring house shoes. Also there is no oven in kitchen so limited on cooking. The 2 coffee pots in the kitchen were unusable. One did not brew and the other was filled with slime/mold from a previous renter who had not cleaned it. Air conditioner was not super cold and 2 of the bedrooms never did cool down from the hot days we experienced. Wifi is also spotty. Location of apartment was great. Walking distance from some of the main attractions of Barcelona. Building has an amazing rooftop balcony you have access too until 10 which was fabulous for snacks, wine and playing cards. Overall, it was a nice place to base out of if you do not plan on spending a lot of time hanging in the apartment visiting and cooking. With 4 bedrooms and 4 baths, with a large group it was a nice place to stay.

Excellent Location and Nice Lodging for a Large Group
Our group of eight adults stayed in this split level four bedroom four bathroom apartment in Eixample, Barcelona. The location is in a residential area with convenient shopping, restaurants and public transportation. The apartment is within walking distance of La Sagrada Familia. It is difficult to find an apartment that has a bathroom for each bedroom but this fit the bill. Even though the dining area and kitchen is small, our group ate breakfast and cooked several dinner meals in the apartment with no issues. The apartment description indicates that it will sleep ten but the two day beds in the top level bedroom would be quite uncomfortable for adults to sleep on since they are tufted and are used more for sitting than sleeping. Also, be aware that the bedroom with the loft bed has very steep narrow, offset stairs so it would not be good for any parties with mobility issues. Although you can hear street noise when in the living and dining areas, the bedrooms were all quiet. We would have given this a five star rating had it not been for a few maintenance issues. The coffee pot kept blowing fuses; the dryer did not work and a couple of the showers had hand held shower heads that were difficult to use. However, despite these minor issues we would stay in this apartment again with no hesitation. We had a lovely time in Barcelona with this apartment as our home base for five days.

Great location, nice apartment!
The location for this apartment is awesome, so close to so many great Barcelona landmarks, restaurants and the metro. The apartment is nice, beds are soft and clean and rooms are spacious. The kitchen is very small so plan on eating most meals out...we frequently travel in Europe and yes its still small but has every thing you need. The managers are friendly and respond quickly.

Our family of 9 had a wonderful stay in this unconventional apartment. The owner description was accurate, with no surprises. We did have trouble regulating the temperature in all the rooms in July, and road noise was significant in the living room/kitchen and the little split level bedroom. Owner communication was very good. We validate the other reviews on this property.

This was the reason we chose the apartment- we were two families traveling together.
On the positive side, the communication with the owner was fantastic, and the apartment was very clean, close to the subway, and had a great washer and dryer. Also loved the keypad entry instead of keys.
On the not so positive side, while the master bedroom is very large and light filled, the other three are not. Fine if you're there with lots of kids, but with two families, one set of adults gets a nice room while the other does not. Additionally, considering the size of the property, the kitchen and living room were very small - we couldn't all sit down together in either room.
That being said, it is well priced for what it is, and it is very difficult to find large apartments at all.

We had a hard time finding the place (for some reason there are two street numbers on the door), but once we did, we were delighted. Our group of seven friends loved this large, clean and classic apartment in the heart of the beautiful Eixample district. Not only is the location super convenient (we walked or took the subway everywhere), but the apartment has four, count 'em, bathrooms -- a much-apppreciated luxury. The kitchen is small but serviceable -- you won't be cooking any big meals in there, but it's fine for breakfast. We also liked the communal rooftop deck with its great views at sunset. Katje, our greeter, responded immediately whenever we had a question. There's a handy market just down the street where we bought our morning yogurt and fruit, and a larger supermarket and lovely flower market in the next block. All in all, we can wholeheartedly recommend this place for large families or groups of friends.

We rented this lovely apartment for the last week of November 2013 to celebrate my wife's birthday. Over the course of the week were joined by our two adult children, our nephew, and my wife's two cousins.
With 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms we had more than enough space and everyone was quite comfortable. The apartment is in very good condition, and all of the amenities (including clothes washer/dryer) were in great working order, and we never ran out of hot water. We didn't cook in the kitchen, just used it for making coffee and gathering in the morning. We all found the beds comfortable, and the bedrooms are back from the front of the apartment and hence away from the street noise.
We quite liked the location - only 750 m from la Sagrada Familia, and just off the Av. Diagonal. We were able to walk to some great restaurants including La Flauta, Bambarol, and Xula Taperia, and were within walking distance to the shopping on Passeig de Gracia and Rambla de Catalunya.
A couple of minor things - there is a subway line nearby and you can hear it in the early morning (approx 6am or so when I noticed it). The front of the apartment (living room & kitchen) has lovely big old floor-to-ceiling folding windows out to the small balcony that are drafty and let in some of the street noise - just a characteristic of old wooden doors I guess. Noise isn't really noticeable from the bedrooms.

Our party of 6 rented this beautiful apartment for 6 days and we had the best time. The building and the apartment are fabulous - light, airy, tons of space and amenities. The view from the roof deck is incredible. Located in what, for me, is the best area in Barcelona, Eixample, it is convenient to everything, steps from Sagrada Familia with all the neighborhood services you could want nearby. We were extremely well taken care of by the greeters Katya and Marika and the owners are responsive and attentive. I really can't say enough good things about this apartments and its owners - suffice to say that if you are visiting this great city with a group of 6 - 14, this is the place to stay. This apt in Barcelona was incredible. I went with a group of friends and was super happy with this apt. There was so much space having 4 bedrooms with multiple beds in some of the rooms. The location was the key to staying here. I loved this area since it was so close to many different interesting parts of the city. Probably the best thing about this rental was Melanie, the lovely rental agent that made us feel like we were part of her family. She was so kind and friendly. She would get us cabs and give us directions and offer suggestions on places to eat and visit. The balcony off the living area was so fun to just sit and watch the passersby at all hours of the day and night. It was a very safe feeling area of Barcelona. The roof top terrace was gorgeous as well with amazing views of the city. I plan on going back to Barcelona and I will stay here again for sure.
