Nestled in Connecticut, this attractive house for £358 per night is a great choice for your next trip. A very small farm nestled in the middle of everywhere. Private and peaceful, but located minutes from award winning dining, music, arts, theater and poetry. Only 2 hours from New York and Boston, Farmington has the best of everything. We live in a separate house on the property and are always close by to answer any questions. We have pigs in the forest and sheep in the pasture, they are visible (but it's not a petting zoo).

The very definition of peaceful, this working farm is nothing short of magical. You are welcomed to a superbly-appointed home — not a clinical hotel. Or family had a great time visiting with the sheep, piggies and the lovely owners. We’re hope to be back soon!

Bobbie is an incredible host and Moose Lodge is just perfect for a family. We stayed for two weeks and appreciated all her wonderful communication, support during our stay, and thoughtful details. Would stay again at her farm in a heartbeat.

We loved our stay here for graduation weekend! The hosts were very sweet and responsive, even letting our young daughter pet their animals, and were very responsive and friendly. The house was clean and spacious, and the grounds pretty and serene. Plus we got fresh eggs, milk and English muffins in the fridge at arrival. Highly recommended!

This home was so peaceful and comfortable we instantly felt like we were home. We loved the spacious eat-in kitchen and family room and our grandchildren couldn’t get enough of the sheep, sow and goats.

This property was a hit! A charming farmhouse set on a peaceful, working farm with animals, with all amenities needed for a comfortable stay, in a location close to shops, restaurants, activities, etc.--what more could you ask for? I'm sorry I didn't have the chance to meet the owners, but my nephew and his family did, and had a wonderful conversation about the property and its history. We have family nearby this location, so we are looking forward to returning when we have the next family event.

My family and I stayed here last weekend as a place to gather to attend my grandmother’s funeral. Although the reason for the gathering was a somber one, it was really wonderful to have such a cozy, large space for our family to spend time together. It was nice to be able to have separate rooms and bathrooms, but also have the kitchen, dining room, and living room to enjoy meals together and play board games in the evenings. It proved such a wonderful place to connect. The property itself was beautiful and it was really fun to be able to see the sheep, pig and chickens! The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed – and the addition of farm fresh eggs and other things in the fridge was a treat. We also loved having a fire going in the evenings – it really helped create a cozy, comfortable ambiance! We have already talked about wanting to come back at some point for another family reunion, and would recommend to others!

Perfect for a family
My family used this rental while staying in Connecticut for my brother’s wedding in Hartford. We travelled a long distance and wanted something with enough space for my 3 young children to run around during our stay.
The moose lodge was perfect. It’s a beautiful farm property located centrally to everything we needed. The animals were charming and my children absolutely loved them. They also loved helping Bobbie and Anne take care of them in the morning.
The house was spacious and charming equipped with everything a young family needs (highchair, pack n play, booster seat, kiddie utensils) there is also a “playroom” dedicated to kids toys, games and wonder.
The house was clean and well stocked with linens, kitchenware, coffee and even FARM FRESH EGGS.
We loved our stay here and if needed to be in Hartford again, would not hesitate to return to this property.

Lovely and Comfortable Property with Excellent Hosts
Pastures surrounded by woodsy ridges in a peaceful and private setting, yet minutes from town and conveniences. Haven for nature lovers; grazing sheep, lovely pigs and egg-producing chickens. Detailed-to-perfection house with fireplace, screen porch, comfy furniture, nooks & crannies to curl up with a book yet plenty of room. The consummate hosts, available at your request but not hovering, delightful conversationalists with recommendations depending on your interests. In short, it felt like visiting a favorite relative's home.

We had a lovely stay! Bobby and Anne were incredible hosts. They left everything we could need in the kitchen, including fresh eggs. They were so kind and caring with our kids and let them feed the animals with them every morning. The house is so homey and clean. We couldn’t recommend more! We were so grateful to stay and hope to return!

Idyllic place, both house and grounds
We’ve rented dozens of houses over the years: this was our favorite! Loved the two lounges, the breakfast and dining rooms, the three bathrooms. The hosts are warm, helpful and hospitable. We loved Gertrude the pig, her offspring and the sheep and chickens. It provides a great base for hiking, adventure sports and cultural attractions. Good restaurants, too!

We will definitely be returning.

This is an amazing property! Thoughtful touches at check-in and everything you need for kids of your traveling with family. Loved seeing the animals. We had great weather but even if you don’t, you won’t be bored! Lots of games for kids and adults alike.

This is one of the most relaxing and enjoyable properties we have ever stayed at. The hosts were very good communicators and had so many nice touches throughout the home for guests. We felst so comfortable in the peaceful setting and really enjoyed the ewes. rams sow and the 7 baby piglets! Definately will plan to stay again on our next visit!

Great quiet place to stay
The home was clean and well maintained. Some nice amenities upon arrival which were very tasty (farm fresh eggs among them!) . Short drive to restaurants and grocery stores. Beds comfortable. The owners were responsive and a pleasure to meet. My granddaughter enjoyed the sheep/rams, chickens and the cutest piglets- so did the adults. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there!

The place was loaded with everything one could want/need and more! Amazingly friendly and communicative owners who really take pride in thier operation - not to mention the hilarious (sheep voices) and wonderful animals at the farm - mama pig had piglets on day 1! This house was amazing and just what we needed! Bobbie was a great host and my kids loved the kids room and toys and of course being able to see the farm animals right outside the house. I hope we can come back again at some point!

We have kids around 3-4. The owners brought a baby lamb to the house each morning to play with the kids. The house is fully stocked with toys, linens, and pantry items. Moose Lodge was a wonderful experience for the entire family.

The area was so pretty and Farmington is a great town with lots to do, but we could barely peel ourselves away from the magical farm and property. We cannot wait to make this an annual getaway!

More than we'd hoped for!
Our stay at Moose Lodge was amazing. The house is a lovely home in a magnificent, historic area of Connecticut. Spotlessly clean and wonderfully comfortable, we had everything we needed right there for our first trip with our kids and granddaughters since the nightmare of 2020. The grounds were perfect for two small kids to play and run and explore. Bobbie and Anne couldn't have been nicer. We looked forward to seeing them each morning when they fed the animals. They even brought along a tiny lamb for us to meet. Everything about this trip made us happy!
