Located on a quiet street in Vienna’s most multicultural district, the apartment is perfect for those looking for a unique place to stay in an interesting, diverse, up-and-coming neighborhood, removed from the typical downtown tourist areas. My husband and I had a wonderful stay at this cute little apartment! Very clean, safe area, and the perfect space we needed for our one-week stay in Vienna. Monika was also a great host- met us there to show us around for check-in, and communication was great the entire time. Highly recommend!

The owners are super nice and accommodating people! The apt was really clean, super unique, and plenty of space for our small family. The area is quiet and close to the palace with transportation to the rest of the city just down the road. Definitely recommend!

The apartment is in a nice location with only a short walk to public transportation. Monika greeted us when we arrived and explained everything to us and was very responsive when we had questions. Note if you visit during the summer when they are experiencing high than normal temperatures there will be condensation on the floors due to the AC being floor AC. The view from the rooftop patio is breathtaking. We would definitely stay here again if visiting Vienna.

Our stay at the apartment was great. Our overseas flight was delayed and our connection missed. Monika was terrific in assisting us with a “check-in” option 2 plan that went smoothly and her assistance was so appreciated. Apartment is as depicted in listing. Located in a quiet residential area with handy grocery, bakery and restaurants. We enjoyed our stay very much.

The place was great! It was roomy and we felt very welcomed to Vienna. Although it was winter we were able to have a nice view from the rooftop. It was a short walk (2-4 minutes) to the U3, which connected us to the entire city and right around the corner from the apartment is a great bakery with coffee to go.

Extremely close to ubahn, bakers and supermarket. One quick train to the centre of Vienna. We enjoyed the roof terrace, well equipped kitchen and use of a washing machine.

Lovely stay!
We loved our stay at Monika’s! The apartment was very clean and comfy. All of the necessities were there and we were happy to be close to the subway station for trips into town. Monika was easy to communicate with and we loved her recommendation for the beer garden within walking distance. The bakery on the corner was also a highlight! Thanks again Monika!

The apartment is very comfortable, very light due to it being on the top floor and facing South, modern and well designed, and conveniently located for visiting Vienna (U2 undeground line and 49 tram line both direct to the city centre). We enjoyed very much staying in the apartment in the Kroll-gasse. The apartment has enough space and many facilities. The neighborhood is splendid: the metro station is only 3 minutes away, same goes for a bakery at 2 minutes and open from 5.30 am. We spend a lot of time in the center of Vienna on our rented bicycles. We also walked from the apartment to the Schonbrun Castle. We could recommend the apartment to nearly everyone.

We frequented the Chinese stores opposite the Naschmarkt to buy specialty Chinese veggies (suan miao and ku gua), tofu, rice, and condiments and then cooked them at the flat. Nothing like home cooking while on a long road trip! This flat is really convenient to public transportation, and it's only a few stops to anywhere you'd care to visit in Vienna. The area itself is safe, but non-touristy. It's an easy walk to Schonbrunn Palace too. Finally, the owners (who live next door) are really nice, very accommodating, and quickly reply to any correspondence, questions, or concerns. In short, we loved staying at this flat during our Vienna stay, and hope to return in the future.

Apartment was as described and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The roof top terrace had an OUTSTANDING view of the city. From the apartment to the metro was a short 2 block walk. A grocery store was right next to the metro; very convenient. It was very easy to get around the city from this location.

Everything was perfect except that the property was a little too warm. The heating control is linked to the owners adjacent property so we were limited in our ability to turn down the heating.That point aside.....everything was excellent.

Great multi-cultural Viennese neighborhood
We loved this apartment for its location--easy walk to Schonbrunn, great bakery at the corner, 1 block from the metro and supermaket, walk to Viennese restaurants as well as excellent Turkish. And the apartment was spacious, full of sunlight, and super quiet. Will look up Monika & Eric's apartment when we visit Vienna again.

Incredible Apartment!!!
We were lucky enough to get this apartment for four days in September. It is just as described and is beautiful. It even has a beautiful rooftop deck. Located in a great neighborhood with shops and restaurants nearby. Subway is a couple blocks away and it makes it easy to get around Vienna. Monika was a perfect host, easy communication and great recommendations for restaurants. One spot, Heidingers Gasthaus, was so good we ate there twice...and we never do that on vacation. If ever back in Vienna we would definitely stay there again.

Excellent property, highly recommended
We had a great stay here. Monica & Eric are the perfect hosts; available if you have any questions but respectful of your privacy. The apartment is beautifully laid out and a perfect base to explore Vienna. My husband is in a wheelchair and was able to manoeuvre himself independently. In fact the bathroom is huge! Parking is an issue as in any capital city, but Monica & Eric suggested 2 car parks - one nearby and the other further out and consequently cheaper. The nearest metro station is literally just up the road and it takes approx. 10 minutes to get into central Vienna.

Perfect Location
For our five days in Vienna this was a perfect accommodation. Situated in a nice neighborhood away from the bustling tourist area, two minutes walk to a quaint cafe/bakery, three minutes to the metro for easy access to everything, and four minutes to a full grocery store.

Perfect place to stay in Vienna
We stayed in this wonderful apartment for a week. The location is excellent in a quiet neighbourhood with access to the metro only a few minutes walk away. This takes you straight into the centre of the city in around 10 minutes, so ideal for sightseeing.
Everything you could need is provided and shops and the market are close by. We ate at the lovely Augustin restaurant which is recommended and just round the corner.
We highly recommend this apartment to anyone wanting to spend time in this great city and would love to return sometime. Thank you Monika & Eric for making us feel so welcome.

Wonderful stay!!
We booked this property for four nights at the tail end of a 2 week river cruise and were looking for a quiet place with access to services and transportation. What a find!!! Erik was nice enough to let us check in early after we had to vacate the boat following the cruise. The penthouse apartment is stunning--a nice mixture of old and contemporary. The building is very quiet and your only real neighbor is Monika and Erik who are across the hallway but they afford you complete privacy. The grocery store is one block away, the subway is less than a block away and the nearby restaurants were affordable and the quality was better than those found in the city center. The apartment is as depicted in the photographs and offers stunning views of the city and a comfortable place to return to after the crowds of Vienna. We loved the international feel of the neighborhood. The apartment is thoughtfully stocked with everything you could need during your stay including cooking supplies, coffee and so much more. The Schonbrunn Palace and Gardens is a 15 minute walk and an absolutely stunning place to spend a day. We had great dinners at Heidinger's Gasthase House for schnitzel and Augustin's for an international menu. Both are walkable from the apartment. We cannot say enough about the beauty of this apartment and our communication with the homeowners. If we ever return to Vienna, we will certainly rent this apartment. Thank you Erik and Monika for renting to us!

Fantastic flat, in good location to explore Vienna.
We spent 4 days in January 19 in this fantastic apartment. Monika made us feel truly welcome, showing us all the amenities that the flat and area had to offer on arrival, then letting us enjoy our stay. Clean, warm , bright, spacious with fantastic views over the city, made this an exceptional flat, combined with the Metro a couple of minutes from the door, make this an ideal base for a vacation in Vienna

Nice apartment
We spent 6 nights in Monika's apartment and it's certainly a nice property. It's well stocked with everything you would need (iron, toiletries etc). Having a Smart TV was very nice as we could use our Amazon Prime account to watch English Television.
The location is great - just 3 minutes walk to the closest U-bahn with restaraunts and bars within walking distance.
Unfortunately we did find the apartment quite loud - the flat backing onto ours was very noisy with lots of banging around and running up and down (I assume they have kids). This did prevent us from sleeping on a couple of occasions (on the Saturday the noise went on until nearly 11pm).
We weren't aware that the host lived just across the hall from us - when we found this out we felt a little awkward as it was like we were being watched. We were actually contacted by them on one occasion and were asked to close the bathroom window. It was explained that this was to keep the flat at a certain temperature - I do think that as we are renting the property we should be able to let in as much fresh air as we like.

Clean, convenient and great value. Stop looking this is where you want to stay!
This top floor, secure, modern, minimalist apartment is exquisitly maintained with many thoughtful additions; lovely book of information curated by owners about the space/local area hotspots, coffee pods, pantry cooking basics, bathroom staples (forgot you deodorant, razor or femine supplies ...it's there), the beds are very comfortable, the decorationas are taseteful, the owners obviously take care of this space and it was carefully designed. Easy access to the underground and any form of public transportation (plan to take the underground and purchase 24 hour or multi day passes to save money, the first entry is basically a block away). A beautiful church and play area for the kids two blocks away and many eateries. Fee parking only so map out a garage if you are arrive by car but do still plan to take the underground. Really stop looking and book. Check-in and out is easy, simply have estimated time of arrival and departure. I would plan a return trip to Vienna around the availability of this apartment....hands down would stay again and highly recommend.

The apartment is bright, airy and plenty of sunshine. All appliances worked well. Monika provides a good deal of info on local shops and transit options and willingly provided help with last day taxi to train station. We walked to the Schoenbrunn Palace for an evening dinner and concert - very comfortable.
We would return to this location without a second thought.

Great one bedroom top floor flat in quiet neighborhood
Nice location if you want to relax in the evenings away from the noise of Center City. Convenient to the subway station to city center or a 10 minute Uber ride. Loved the patio above the flat where you get a nice view of the surrounding city. Owners very helpful with suggestions on where to eat, shop and places to see. Will stay here again on our next trip to Vienna!

Lovely apartment, nice large bathroom, and view from terrace. Very clean, with everything you might need for your stay. Safe area, with garage parking a short walk away. Access to underground is just a few blocks away, and the trip to local museums and restaurants is about 10 min. Monika was very easy to reach, and gave us a very warm welcome.
