About this house rental
Built in 1856, this stately historic home has been fully restored and renovated to have all the modern conveniences with the charm of original heart-pine floors and brick fireplaces (decorative only now). Located just north of Forsyth Park, Savannah’s largest green space, Cotton Manor has everything you’ll need for a truly luxurious stay in the Hostess City. Large windows throughout the home let in an abundance of natural light with plantation shutters for privacy. The open dining and living space has plenty of comfortable seating, so you can relax after a day of sightseeing or plan your next adventure. The galley-style kitchen has stainless steel appliances, including a double oven. The first floor of the home includes a full bath and half bath. Two bedrooms are upstairs, along with two full bathrooms. The primary bedroom has a King sized bed with beautiful solid wood frame, floor-to-ceiling windows that open to the balcony, and an ensuite bath. The windows are a lingering architectural detail from a time when Savannahians were taxed by how many doors their home had. The second bedroom has comfortable a Queen-sized sleigh bed to curl up in after a long day of exploring Savannah. The second bathroom sits just outside the door in the hallway. The third bedroom can be found just off of the living room, that features a comfortable murphy bed, and access to the front courtyard. This home is perfect for those who want to explore the city by foot. A short walk north through Calhoun Square will take you to Clary’s Cafe, the setting for several breakfast scenes in Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. No matter which direction you choose, you’ll be in the heart of all Savannah has to offer. Fantastic location!!! Lovely courtyard & just right combination of historical home with modern conveniences.
Only negative was annoying construction noises surrounding the house- early mornings and late afternoons on courtyard.

The check in process was easy. The home was very comfortable and clean. Kitchen was well stocked. Fun to be able to walk to a grocery store or walk around the squares or down to the river. Everywhere we wanted to go seemed accessible by foot. Savannah is beautiful and we loved our stay at Cotton Manor.

Close to Forsyth Park and in the middle of a architecturally gorgeous neighborhood. Loved the courtyard and the property’s other amenities. For those who like to walk, not much of anything is too far away. Plus, who wouldn’t want to walk in one of the most beautiful cities in the U.S.?

Great location. The trolley stops right across the street. The house was so charming. Only complaint is there is construction going on right next door. Do don’t expect to sleep past 7am. They are there at 7 on the dot and the dryer does not work. Other than that it was a very great experience.

Cotton Manor was amazing!!! we loved being able to relax in the outdoor courtyard. The location was right in the heart of the south historic district, very quiet, within walking distance to restaurants and historic sites. My only criticism is to get the pull out couch fixed..... it could not be used so I slept on top of the couch. I would definitely recommend this booking and I would stay here again....100%

Great area in walking distance to all the sights, beautiful outdoor area to relax, the only problem we had was during the week it was not quiet or relaxing due to construction next door ( understand that it won’t go on forever but for the price we paid that was my gripe). But overall this historic home was gorgeous!

Location was great, it was clean except for the ice maker had mold in and the hot water in the master bath didn't get hot and the dryer didn't work. Would defiantly stay again.

This is the perfect little house in every way. You can walk to anything you want to do I’m downtown Savannah, have drinks or coffee on the sweet courtyard and there’s enough space for everybody to take some time away from each other when needed. Ok too if that the management company responded immediately even though it was a weekend. We will definitely make this our go to place in Savannah💕

Exquisitely designed and thoughtfully appointed. Located feet away from the trolley stop, a quick walk to Forsyth Park and a healthy hike to the river front, but still in a quiet residential area. The courtyard proved a relaxing part of the day. Private and quiet. The prettiest intimate garden area I’ve enjoyed. Honestly, I wanted to stay indefinitely. Plenty of modernized appliances and overall design blended with historic pieces and architecture. Perfect choice anytime we’re in Savannah. Thank y’all.

Excellent house that sleeps 6 with baths and showers to meet their needs. Beautiful neighborhood and remodeling/construction next door but not loud nor dusty. Great accommodations. Seemed extremely safe neighborhood.

Overall we enjoyed the city, black history and time together. The house was nice. I would suggest a new mattress in the 2nd bedroom upstairs, better lighting in the kitchen and to put the lo kbo. A little lower for vertically challenged people. Otger than tha, we will be back to this exact property. Thank you so much.

I grew up in Savannah and moved away mnay years ago, however my entire family still lives here. Now that my children are young adults- we wanted to NOT pile into a family home and decided to rent this fabulous VRBO. It was absolutely perfect for my family of five. We loved being downtown and took full advantage of walking around Forsyth Park and beyond- something I had not done in years! The home was stocked with everything we needed and more! The beds were very comfortable and all bathrooms were modern and renovated. We LOVED the outdoor patio area and spent lots of time out there day/night. Thank you again for your beautiful home- we hope to return next year!

This house in historic Savannah was about as perfect as one could ask for. The location couldn’t have been better. And the house itself was phenomenal! It was clean and comfortable and you actually felt like you were staying in Savannah during its heyday. I can’t say enough about the way the house was furnished and decorated. The outside courtyard was one of the best parts in my opinion. We spent many nights outside, sipping drinks and relaxing from walking around so that all day I would definitely recommend this house and we would stay there again.

Place is in big need of a deep cleaning. All the Ac vents are covered with black mold. It is past time for the upholstery to be cleaned. I called the number regarding the AC vents and they never sent anyone out. Overall the house had a musty, damp smell.

It's a lovely home with very comfortable beds. The kitchen is small, but nice. And it is decorated so nice. There was an enclosed garden area outside but even after I asked for help, we never did get the lights or the fountain to work. Most disappointing was that the master bathroom shower leaked through the floor to the living room below and two of the four toilets ran all the time and wouldn't flush. I reported the issues, was contacted a few hours later, and asked not to use the main shower, which was a huge inconvenience, as was the toilet situation. We chose that home for the extra bathrooms! But the location was perfect for what we went to Savannah to experience. And hopefully they get their plumbing and garden issues resolved soon.

The lighting is also not as bright as it appears in the picture. The house was definitely well stocked as far as linen/bathroom supplies. I think the house and the furniture would benefit from a deep clean. The house is in walking distance to the riverfront which is definitely a plus. If I’m honest I must say the home was ok and it served its purpose.

The location is great. The house is not completely as posted. The outside courtyard needs a lot of attention and is filthy. Lights don’t work and there is only 1 outside accessible area, not 2. The stand alone ac unit in the second bedroom helps keep it cool but it is quite loud. Master bed is super comfy. The floors are very dirty downstairs and in desperate need of a food clean. No cleaning products provided. Need to bring your own.

Family of 6 for two nights
The house is beautiful and the location is great! The outdoor area was really nice but unfortunately we couldnt use it much because we were eaten alive by mosquitoes. Would definitely recommend adding citronella candles outside for guests. The showers in the bathrooms were wonderful and there seemed to be unlimited hot water. Probably a tankless heater. The sofa bed is shot. It was barely sleepable for my two young daughters and when we opened it up it was dirty. The metal is bent and sharp and mattress is pathetic. Property owners definitely need to replace it. Overall, good stay though!

This property is beyond fabulous. The house is in fantastic condition, decorated nicely, with ample kitchen accessories, and linens. My friends and I enjoyed sitting in both the larger and smaller courtyards. We also enjoyed sitting at the round table playing card games. There wasn't a single need that wasn't met. My return flight was cancelled, and I was accommodated perfectly and easily to stay an additional night. This perhaps would have been different if someone was due in the house after us. None the less, I was very stressed, and Lucky Savannah was very helpful. I was nervous when I called into a system. But, they returned my phone call more than promptly. The location is central, and was close to everything! We had a wonderful time sitting on the window accessed second floor balcony. Many tour buses came by, and we all had fun shouting hello to one another! The one struggle we ran into was slow plumbing in one (of the 4) of the bathrooms. Other than that, I cannot boast enough about the property and Lucky Savannah alike. I have every intention of staying again.

My parents stayed for the week of my wedding and absolutely loved this place! We all loved how beautiful it is decorated, it was close to everything and the outdoor space is fabulous! We hosted a little gathering for the bridal party in the beautiful courtyard! I highly recommend this place! The house is even nicer then depicted in the pictures. Beautiful inside furnishings and plenty of room. Kitchen well equipped for cooking or for entertainging. Lovely outdoor apace with koi pond and comfortable seating. Location was excellent- one block from one of Savannah’s many squares and two blocks from Forsyth Park. House was immaculate and management service very attentive. Would absolutely rent from them again. Only possible criticism is house had everything one would expect from a luxury rental except Kleenex

We had a great stay. The home was lovely and exactly as pictured. It was great having a designated off street parking spot. We could easily walk places as well. It was exceptionally cold while we were there and the furnace was not working correctly, the rental company had someone to the house within an hour to make necessary repairs. I wish it would have been warm enough to use the back patio because it was lovely! We enjoyed our visit and would stay in this house again if we visit Savannah!
