Situated in Wisconsin, this attractive house for £394 per night is a great choice for your next trip. *** Please for 2025 a 7-night Friday-Friday reservation is required during peak season from June 13-August 15. *** The best revenge for hard work is harder relaxation, and the ideal getaway is The Retreat, a luxurious and scenic waterfront property where you and your guests are encouraged to relax, reward, and pamper yourselves in splendor. Nestled atop a bluff between Chicago and Milwaukee is a completely renovated 2-story, 6 bedroom, 4 full bathroom, 4000 sq. ft. home on a ½ acre of land and 150' of pure unobstructed Lake Michigan tranquility. Let the endless sunrise greet be your wake-up call and Orion and Cassiopeia entertain you from the heavens at night. You will never get tired of listening to the waves crashing in or gazing at the moon shimmering upon the vastness of the lake. This splendid retreat is ideal for family, business, or social gatherings. It comfortably sleeps 12 people and features the following: - Level 2 EV charger with J1772 plug @ $10 per car per day if needed. Tesla adapter supplied. - Full kitchen with stainless steel appliances and wine cooler - Outdoor hot tub for up to 6-7 people (CLOSED FROM END OF NOVEMBER THRU MARCH) - Stairway to deck at bottom of bluff (ACCESS TO LAKE BLOCKED OFF) - 2 fire pits (guests supply firewood) - 9' professional-size pool table - Ping pong table and treadmill are garage - Universal gym in basement - Weber stainless steel gas BBQ grill - 4 fireplaces (1 wood in living room & 3 gas. Gas fireplaces will be disabled during summer months) - Volleyball/Golf/Badminton net - Bluetooth wireless speaker - Enclosed patio - Fishing (temporary fishing permit required) - Spacious indoor Jacuzzi overlooking lake - All mattresses and bed pillows protected with anti-dust mite sheets & covers - 1 small pet up to 40 LBS only with $200 fee for pet hair cleaning & landscaping repair The bedding breakdown for 6 bedrooms are: 1- Master bedroom: 1 king 2- 2nd floor 2nd bedroom: 2 queens 3- 2nd floor 3rd bedroom room: 1 queen 4- 1st floor big bedroom: 2 queens 5- 1st floor small bedroom: 1 twin 6- Basement bedroom: 1 full & sleeper sofa *DISCLOSURE: 2 exterior Ring cameras: 1 on front door and 1 facing driveway. 1 Amazon Alexa device in family room. Simply unplug if you don't want to use Alexa. Guest will be provided with keypad code within 48 hours prior to arrival that matches the last 4 digits of their cellphone number. This code will only be valid during your reservation dates. The retreat is located near the following sites: - 5 minutes to golf course, public beach, Forest Preserve, and park with 3 playgrounds. - 15 minutes to Racine & Kenosha Art museum and downtown area- 10 minutes to shopping centers. - 20 minutes to Recplex water park for boating, canoeing, swimming, etc. - 45 minutes to downtown Milwaukee, Lake Geneva, Key Lime Cove water park and Great America. - 60 minutes to Chicago. The # 1 rule is to enjoy yourselves. There are no unreasonable house rules like other home owners might impose but I do request the following: 1- No smoking in the house but smoking permitted in patio area. 2- No loud music, yelling, screaming, or cursing loudly outdoors which neighbors have complained about in the past. 3- No jumping on the furniture which could cause damage. 4- No food or beverages inside hot tub. 5- Clean hot tub with pole net and BBQ grill with brush before vacating. 6- Bring trash bins to pick up area by Thursday night for Friday morning pick-up. I do post notes around the house to let guests know what or how to use something. Off-season rates (Jan-Feb) start at: Weekend: starting at $750 for up to 3 nights. Weekly: starting at $1650 Fees: - $250 cleaning/laundry fee. - $200 per pet/pet hair cleaning/landscape repair fee up to 40 LBS only. This pays for deep pet cleaning fee in case the next group has allergies. A $75 droppings/urine fee incurred if you don't clean up and/or leave pet waste bags inside the home so please clean up after your pet and throw away pet waste bags outside. - $75 hot tub draining/cleaning/refilling/heating fee will be assessed for 3-night reservations if water is left cloudy or murky. This fee is waived for longer reservations. No eating or drinking inside hot tub allowed. Before and after pictures will be sent as proof so there are no misunderstandings. Please note this is a cleaning fee and NOT a usage fee. - $75 will be assessed for any confetti and/or glitter clean up. *CAVEAT: The Retreat cannot be used for loud outdoor events, wild parties, or weddings. The outdoor city noise ordinance is from sunset until 6 AM. All occupants must keep outdoor noise level and activities to a minimum during these hours. Use of outdoor hot tub is not permitted after sunset and large fire pit is not permitted after 11 PM, but use of small fire pit is permitted at all times.

This home was perfect. We rented it right after Christmas for 5 nights for my husband and 4 adult children and their spouses. It was exactly as listed, very clean and spacious. The host was very communicative and we had no issues. Would highly recommend it for families or friends getaways

The house is absolutely fabulous and in a beautiful location. Nothing like waking up every morning to a beautiful sunrise. Of course, you can pull the shades down if you wish. But the lake is absolutely a beautiful setting. And the house head every amenity you could ask for. Location was great and owner was responsive and communicative and so willing to make anything we needed available. Highly recommend this house for a family get away.

You really can't beat the number of Bed/Baths at this property. We had 4 family units and we were so comfortable - lots of seating to all eat and relax together. Despite being close to neighbors, the property is well set up for privacy to enjoy the outside and the view. Only thing to be aware of - families with tenacious toddlers will need to be extra vigilant. There are lots of stairs, fireplaces, and sharp corners at this property. Not a critique just a heads up. They have the main stairs set up for a gate to go across but just something to consider. But 10/10 would definitely go back and recommend.

We loved Dan's spacious, well-appointed, comfortably furnished, and spectacularly well-provisioned home. The pool table was a particularly big hit. Having such a wonderful house to spend the week in was especially important because--unfortunately for us-- this was a week of very unhealthy air quality (AQI 240+) due to the Canadian forest fires and we had to spend most of our time indoors. We couldn't recommend Dan's home more highly.

What a beautiful house along Lake Michigan. The house and outside area was perfect for a weekend with the guys. What a great location between Chicago and Milwaukee. Host was great. Very good communication. Check in and out was very simple. If planning another trip back to that area, we would definitely be staying there again.

We love that this home had something for everyone to enjoy. The pictures do not do justice to the open concept of the kitchen and gathering rooms. Plenty of room to sit, meet, play, sleep, etc. We came during both rain and shine which was great! Seeing the lake on a cold day while relaxing was just what we needed to get away from work. The kids enjoyed basketball and views on the sunny days and the grass on the property is extremely well taken care of.
The location was ideal for us as we enjoyed getting to the waterfront in Kenosha, shopping at the mall, and even played at Launch in Gurnee on the rainy day!
Our host was very helpful, detailed in communication and information, and extremely informative with helpful stickers throughout the property which was beneficial. Comfortable furniture and beds, excellent updated appliances.
We definitely recommend this property. The only thing we would have changed was to bring more people with us! We’ll be back.

Just an amazing property. A lakefront home that is inviting and comfortable. Be it the Lakeview rooms, the high-end kitchen, or the artist's touch it would be hard to not be amazed staying there. Dan the owner was always available and accommodating.

Our family gathered for the holidays. The driveway leads to amazing lake views. We loved the home and amenities - wood fireplace in living room, gas fireplace in type family room, fire pit out back - we used them all during our cold winter stay! Home is set I up well for family gatherings with large open areas, comfortable seating, and big screens in every room. Our host was great with communication before and during our stay .
