Nestled in Savannah, this charming house for £453 per night is a great choice for your next trip. This grand 5-bedroom home, located on the most famous residential street of Savannah, was built in 1883 for the former Chairman of the Chatham County Commission, Joseph J. Dale. A beautiful Italianate exterior with foot-thick walls encloses 4200 square feet of living space on 3 stories.The home boasts 12-foot ceilings, original fireplaces, and heart pine floors. The main entrance is on the parlor level, with bedrooms on both the top floor above and garden level below. A porch adorned with wooden flourishes covers the front door. Next to the entrance, a plaque designates the historic landmark status of the property. Inside, the parlor has floor-to-ceiling bay windows from which to spot the occasional horse-drawn carriage on tour. An archway frames the formal dining room and table with seating for 10, lighted by the soft twinkling of a magnificent crystal chandelier. At the back of the house is a gourmet kitchen outfitted with Kitchen Craft cupboards, two farmers porcelain sinks, sub-zero refrigerator, and a Thermador commercial stove. A breakfast area seats six and a balcony overlooks the courtyard. Head up the banister stairway to find 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms on the top floor. The front room contains a king bed and comfortable chairs where you can read while looking out on the live oaks of Jones. A middle bedroom includes a queen bed, armoire, and skylight. A 3rd bedroom in back, decorated with golden wall coverings and a queen bed, overlooks the garden and enjoys soft morning light. Downstairs from the parlor floor is a garden-level ground floor with two spacious bedrooms, a TV den, a full bathroom, and a kitchenette. The front bedroom contains a king bed and dark wood furnishings. The garden-facing back bedroom contains a queen bed and views of the lion-head fountain. Garden level French doors open onto the flower- and vine-laden courtyard area behind the house featuring two Lion Head fountains. Outdoor chairs and tables enable al fresco dining. Parking: Non-metered Parking This unit has free, on-street parking right outside the front door. Availability will depend on time of day and season. Our guests have not reported trouble parking near the home, even on the busiest of weekends. Such a comfortable and stunning home. Fabulous location far enough away from the tourist spots, neither noise nor parking were an issue, however, we were able to walk almost anywhere in the historic district. Without question, we would stay again and highly recommend.

This was the PERFECT stay for my family during my wedding weekend. Location was convenient. The house was stunning. So much space and so many rooms available to fit all the guests. There were some minor inconveniences, such as a sink that was under maintenance, and a shower faucet that took some time to figure out - but their service was incredible and immediate. Some rooms could have used more mirrors and space to hang clothing. Would definitely consider Lucky Savannah in the future for a large group!

We booked this home for 10 family members, 4 teenagers and 6 adults. This is a lovely, lovely historic home allowed all of us to spread out and have our own private areas. The bonus room on the first floor was perfect for the teenagers, and us adults enjoyed the formal living room. The covered outdoor porches were a nice addition to watch a thunderstorm blow through. We would absolutely book this place again. There are a few things that could improve the experience that are really just a maintenance checklist. The only reason why I am even posting it, is because the property owners and/or managers may simply not be aware. We were all given one set of bath linens per person. There were no closets with additional bed or bath linens in the event we might need them. There is a washer and dryer which was great , but a stocked linen closet would be more helpful. The two showers upstairs have poor water pressure. This could be a plumbing thing or maybe just maintenance to the fixtures. Full sized ironing boards, a stock of garbage can liners, and a checklist of the appliances to make sure they are in working condition (toaster in fist floor kitchen), could make the experience a little more like home. Maybe on the “what to expect” from your AirBnb could simply outline what is provided and what may patrons need to supply so that they can prepare ahead for their stay. Overall, this was splendid experience in a luxurious home, and these additional suggestions are only intended to amplify it!

A group of 6 college friends from 45 years ago enjoyed 4 days/3 nights in this magnificent Savannah home. The 5 bedrooms were huge, the bathrooms had great showers and were stocked with shampoo, conditioner and body wash. There were 2 kitchens which had every gadget you would ever need as well as plenty of plates, glasses, cups, etc. The furnished balconies and terrace were wonderful and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor space. And the location was perfect. The most beautiful residential street in Savannah in walking distance to everything!! This was truly the best rental I’ve ever stayed at.

Beautiful house on Jones Street that was a perfect location to everything. Only complaint would be that the shower heads all need to be descaled of the lime build up so that the water flows normally and not in a crazy pattern that you have to chase to get hair rinsed.

The JJ Dale House and its furnishings were integral to our wonderful Savannah experience. The furnishings are not only stunning, but delivered comfort in a quiet, harmonious setting with beautiful landscaping. We rented the entire home and guests were able to find their own place, variously on the balcony overlooking the courtyard, the courtyard, or the comfortable living room downstairs. The upstairs shower had a rain shower and hand attachment. We made good use of the chef's kitchen with multiple sinks, all the necessary gadgets (including a pancake griddle), well stocked with beautiful plates, serving dishes, wine glasses, and a cozy sitting area. We had no difficulty finding parking on the street!

The property is beautiful! The pictures do the home NO justice. Walking distance to dining and shopping! The only reason I cannot give 5 starts is due to the lack of hot water in 2 out of the 3 showers, the shower heads needing to be delimed to get the full effect and the bulbs leading to the garden level needing to be replaced. Other than that it was excellent for 6 women! I would highly recommend!

This experience was way better than expected and the house could not have been more perfect! The house was actually bigger than the pictures made it out to be and the condition of the property was perfect. Check in and check out was very easy and conveniently done without having to meet with anyone. Location: quaint street within a 15-20 minute walk (4 min ride) to most attractions and events. We will be coming back and definitely staying here again! 10/10 recommend

House is as beautiful as it appears in the pictures. Rooms were comfortable and spacious for our large party. Very conducive to large family get togethers with different areas for mingling and conversation.
With our large group in the house, we needed extra dish towels, trash bags, hand/body soap, and extra towels. Otherwise it was perfection!

The home was exceptionally clean, well maintained, and nicely furnished. Prior to booking, I was concerned that the location was a little further from River Street than desired. However, this turned out to be an advantage. The property seems to be in the perfect "spot". The neighborhood was quiet and not heavily trafficked. The walk to the river and Forsyth park were quite easy. Perfect home, perfect location, perfect weekend!

We had an amazing time at the house. The home was beautiful, clean and so convenient to everything. The WiFi did give us some trouble but we were finally able to get it to work the last night. There was so much space, the beds were all so comfortable and the outdoor courtyard is beautiful. Will definitely stay here again with a large group!
