Property was nice, clean and convenient. Two problems we encountered was there was no internet connection, which I wasted time on to no avail. Also the code for the sauna and hot tub did not work, and we had been looking forward to using these amenities that were promised. Feel like a refund is due.

This was literally the worst VRBO stay my husband and I have ever had. The unit was dark and depressing, and we wanted to spend as little time there as possible. Worse still, though the place was advertised as a no-pet unit, my husband started to have allergy symptoms as soon as we got there and by morning, he was having a full-blown allergy attack. We spent the remainder of the week trying NOT to spend time in the unit because while we were there, he had to take meds and wear a mask even while he was sleeping. We ended up cutting our trip a day early because we just couldn't / didn't want to spend any more time in that condo. The worst part about this is actually not that a past renter had violated the no-pet rule, but the customer service. A total lack of taking responsibility. The management and owners did not immediately address our concerns or try to find a solution, but simply pushed us off by saying they were "investigating." We requested a 50% refund which we thought was MORE than fair given our terrible experience, but in the end they decided to refund us for the one night we didn't stay there. We've never had a bad time in Mammoth, but there's always a first time for everything. Do not stay here if you can help it!!

Great location. Made our spring break that much better. Easy check in. Kitchen is fully stoked was able to cook 3 meals with ease. Village is about a 5 minute walk so we just parked the car for the week and walked every day to the gondola and village. Will stay here again if available.

Private well kept modern condo, tucked away in the middle of the village area, close enough to walk to the gondola, but far enough away that you are not in the middle of everyone/everything.

My boyfriend, sister and I stayed the weekend. It's tucked away and a very quiet neighborhood, walking distance to the village. The bedroom is suitable for two with a large roomy bed and plenty of closet space to tuck your belongings into. The living room is a decent size, even when the couch is converted into a bed there is still quite a bit of space. Everything was very clean, updated and we appreciated the easy open windows we threw open during the day to let the nice mammoth mountain air in.
There is a coffee maker and tea kettle available but be sure to bring your own coffee grounds or tea bags, those are not provided. Also note that the neighbors upstairs walk loudly, I think they might have kids as there is occasional running around. Obviously can't control people's footsteps but just an FYI for those who have trouble tolerating some overhead noise.
Overall we had a lovely stay and would stay here again, thank you!

Everything was great except that there was no coffee filter for the coffee maker. Also, there was not enough shampoo, conditioner, or soap for our 5-day stay.

Most all housing in Mammoth is old and so much of it is remodeled, which is what this unit is. The pictures are a true representation of the unit. The kitchen has been totally remodeled with cabinets & appliances as opposed to painting old cabinet doors. The property manager sent the wrong key code but it was resolved within 15 min. All in all we would stay here again.

I enjoyed
While I won't deny some of the negative aspects other reviewers have described (I did find some of those were a bit exaggerated fyi), I have to tell you...I liked this place!
The large open main room off the kitchen is what makes it! It is very comfortable to hang out in & much less claustrophobic than the other newer/'nicer' rentals we've stayed at in Mammoth (we've stayed at several). We had 2 other couple's over for dinner one of the nights and we had plenty of space to hang out and be comfortable. It's also a very short easy walk to the village, so it made a great base for our friends to meet up, have a drink or two and then go stomp around town :-).
The unit is around the back and seemed very quiet (we literally never heard a neighbor - no footsteps, no other flushing, chatting, TVs, nada). Yeah, some of the old bathroom caulking and other older things in the place didn't look the best but I never found it to feel 'dirty'. I also didn't mind the heaters as I love white noise to sleep to (to me they simply sound like a fan).
Maybe I'm easy to please but I very much enjoyed the place.
On last thing: We didn't arrive until 11pm and the entry code didn't work...all it took was a quick call to the 24-hour Nomadness emergency # and we were in within a minute.

The condo is well located, 10 min walking distance from the gondolas.
It fits 2 adults and 2 kids sleeping in the sofa/bed. But the overall feeling is just ok. The condo would need some upgrades : wall heater are pretty loud, same thing in the bathroom where the ceiling heater is very old amd loud. Furnitures in general are just ok.

Perfectly good little condo for two people to stay in. We didn't use the pull-out bed but it looks like space would be tight with more people.Kitchen is very well-stocked, king-sized bed is comfortable, and the shower has good water pressure and enough hot water for two back-to-back showers. The walls and ceiling are thin and the morning light comes through the blinds early, so bring an eye cover and earplugs. Also the bedroom door doesn't close properly; you have to pull it partway into the jamb or else it will swing open and thump closed all night.

DON'T BE FOOLED BY THE PICTURES
The Good: 1) only a 10 min walk from Village shops/restaurants & Canyon gondola, albeit a bit steep in one direction; 2) right near a bus stop (though did not try); 3) decor is a bit more modern and airy than typical wilderness woodsy look of other condos; 4) in-condo washer & dryer.
The BAD: 1) BEDROOM DOOR HAS WARPING OR PAINT ON TOP EDGE WHICH DOESN’T ALLOW IT TO CLOSE WITHOUT HUGE SLAMMING SOUND, WHICH MAY WAKE UP OCCUPANTS; 2) BATHROOM: CEILING HEATER DOES NOT WORK, shoddy overall, tacky stucco & cheap tub/ sink/ furnishings straight out of a cheap apartment, w/ poor paint & sealant job, tub with some slow drainage, and one towel bar literally flew off wall into tub (which was dangerous) as was not tightly mounted onto wall; 3) no central heating (not sure if such is common in Mammoth); 4) space heaters, while apparently strong, have NO READABLE INDICATIONS ON DIAL SO CAN'T TELL WHICH WAY TO TURN, NOR EVEN WHETHER IT IS OFF/ON OR ON SOME KIND OF THERMOSTAT OR AT WHAT TEMPERATURE; 5) front door SQUEAKS LOUDLY UPON OPENING OR CLOSING - BADLY ENOUGH AS TO HARM ONE'S EARS; 6) motion sensor light outside door was apparently out of batteries, making it DANGEROUS trying to figure out where downward staircase begins in the DARK; 7) walls somewhat thin - could hear quite a bit of walking / furniture moving from upper floor; 8) privacy not great at windows, as are at ground level; 9) parking spots do not have unit numbers, so parking is a free for all; 10) no onsite office.
If this were rented out at a cheap rate, the location may well make it worth it. However, the effective nightly rate (incl 'owner' and service fees) was EXORBITANT -- for that, you should get actual luxury. Caveat emptor!

San Sierra Condominiums
The owners were quickly responsive and gave us a very gracious welcome to use their home. The condo was well equipped. It was warm with the fireplace and wall heaters. The blankets they’re provided were nice thick and heavy for the winter weather. There was plenty of wood. Thee was plenty of paper towels dishwasher and liquid soap...just everything. Simply decorated and very practical. We definitely would come back.

Easy walk to the Village
Perfect location! It was exactly as advertised. Only two suggestions. The refrigerator takes a long time to get cool. The kitchen was fully stocked and one of the best we have rented but no coffee filters. We were able to borrow 3 from the restaurant though.

Great location near Village
This one bedroom condo was chosen due to it's proximity to the Village, which is about an 8 minute walk (though mostly downhill, so coming back is longer!). The property was overall comfortable and accommodating, with a nice fireplace stocked with firewood (a little smoky inside the unit when using the fireplace), upgraded open kitchen area, and a washer/dryer. The bathroom was fine, but needs to be upgraded (we were paying inflated holiday rates, so I'm sure this would be more tolerable at a lower rate). One suggestion for the owners: please add more hooks on the walls or places to hang snow gear. Or at least provide coat hangers for the closet (not a single hanger in the closet). There was only one small coat rack in the condo, so we had coats and snow pants hanging over all of the chairs and backs of couches since there was really not anywhere to hang stuff. Also, the front door makes a very loud screeching noise when opening and closing (so no going in and out if you have kids sleeping on the pullout couch and don't want to wake them up!). The sofa bed was more comfortable that others I've slept on, but I'm not sure about it being "memory foam" as described in the unit advertisement. But it works well for kids. Wifi was not provided (at least, I couldn't find any information on how to log in, despite it looking like a network was available), which is inconvenient if you bring along your own Roku box or something (contract said "wifi not guaranteed, so I suppose they warned me. I now realize that wifi access is an important feature if you have kids and want to plug in your own entertainment box). Overall, it was a nice condo and we enjoyed our stay.

Summer in mammoth
The condo was nice. Plenty of amenities and it’s very clean. Location is just off the village (walking distance).
In the second night the automatic lock on the front door went haywire. It will not lock from the outside. Called the property manager and they sent someone out to fix the problem. One came and can’t figure it out. Second person came out, and took the battery out and voila it reset the lock and all was good.
All and all, nice property and will come back when we had a chance.

Great Unit, Management Company so-so
This is so hard - and, as an owner of another unit in the same complex, really sums up my fears about renting my unit out via a management company. What if the unit is great, but managed poorly?
First, the good - the unit is clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. We loved the comfy bed and the washer/dryer. The TVs were great and having a dishwasher was a bonus. The unit is nice and quiet and well-located in town.
The management company, though, really soured things for us. We were paying high holiday rates, so I was pretty disappointed to receive a call telling me the unit may not be clean until 2 hours after the designated check-in. This was delivered in a tone of, "It's the holidays, there's nothing to be done." No apology was offered, no credit / discount mentioned, and no reference to the fact that it might be difficult to arrive and not have the unit ready. Overall, the management company was unsympathetic in addressing this. I understand holiday time brings peak demand, but since holiday rates are being charged, that ought to be used to deliver the unit as we paid for it.
Having gotten off on the wrong foot with the management company, we hesitated to open the extra sheet set to use a pillowcase to make an extra pillow on the master bed. Nor did we call to note that no dishwasher soap was provided. These are small things, though.
Would I stay here again? Certainly, I had no problems with the unit. But I would probably avoid all units managed by this management company, and, as an owner, would not list my unit with this company.

Walking Distance to Village
Adorable condo. Located two blocks from the Village. Condo was clean and well furnished, very cozy. Only problem was during our stay, the upstairs condo was being renovated and there was banging and booming, sawing and dragging well until 10pm. There was a time when we just wanted to stay in and rest but couldn't because the noise was so loud, that was a HUGE game changer. THIS IS TO NO FAULT OF THE OWNER, but this would have been nice to know before booking (still gave 5 stars). Aside from that this location is superb.

Very nice unit. Clean and well equipped. Excellent location for winter sports.
Only negative was the small supply of fire starters and a complete lack of any kindling. We stayed 4 nights. Were only able to enjoy fires 2 nights, and that only because we augmented the supply of starters with our own.

Mammoth Condo
Condo was clean, plenty of room for two and within walking distance of village including restaurants, shopping and gondola. Towels, washcloths, bedding etc were all present, clean as well as soap/shampoo. Nice woodturning fireplace that really heated the unit up well, and wall unit heaters kept place warm too. The kitchen area appeared to be updated and appliances were newer and worked well. King size bed was comfortable, as were couches in living area. All in all a very nice condo with a great location!
