We will be back
Been coming to Mammoth for 30 years, this is the second time we’ve used this condo. It is spacious, clean and updated. We really love this condo. Will be coming back as soon as time allows.

Great place for large family!
There was 10 of us (6 adults and 4 teenagers) and we had plenty of room. The place is well kept and very spacious. Would rent again!

Great cabin for 8!
This is our second time booking this same cabin and it’s great for 8-10 people. There is a lot of space, the kitchen is complete, and it’s at a corner.

Collegiate cross country altitude training camp
Chateau de Montagne properties are perfect for a team camp experience. Our runners love the large hot tube and pool.

Fabulous and Spacious!
We had an excellent time at this property. The set up was fabulous, it was clean and beautiful. The bedrooms on the bottom floor were very nice and comfortable, the master on the main floor was beautiful. The amenities were great. It is so close to the bus stop, no need to drive anywhere! We cannot wait to return to this property!

Happy Condo Campers
We've stayed at another condo in this complex but, #42 and all the upgrades are so nice. The mattresses are firm and comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need and has plenty of room for more than one. It felt like home and was a wonderful experience.

My teammates and I stayed in this condo for two weeks and really liked it. The living room was very spacious and had a very comfy couch. The kitchen was very nice and had updated appliances.

Faced one major issue; otherwise ok
Plus:
Great location; master bedroom, kitchen and living room upstairs were spacious; very well furnished.
Minus:
Slightly cramped bedrooms downstairs; very few to no accessible power outlets at the bedrooms downstairs (was tough charging our cameras)
Major issue we faced:
We were a group of 11 and there was no hot water for everyone in the morning. Many of us had to shower in cold water in October (with temperature in the low 30s in the morning). Called the office. When the maintenance person came in the afternoon, there was hot water. He explained that the water heater capacity is very less...maybe enough for 2 people to shower. And after that, the wait is around 45 minutes for the water to be hot enough again.
For a property with a capacity of 12 people, even with proper planning around this issue, it is impossible for all to have a hot shower.
Why would one build a property with 12 people limit but with such a small water heater capacity??? Baffles me.

Family ski trip
The condo is in wonderful condition! We had the best time there, it is really close to the bus stop. Everything was as expected!
The only thing to consider, because of California laws, is that you probably will run out of hot water if everyone wants to take a shower in the morning, so better split up! And be sure to run the dishwasher until everybody had a shower

Mammoth rental #42
The rental was average. The kitchen was unorganized and the cupboards need a really good cleaning. The carpet is old and needs to be replaced. The front door was very hard to open. I would not stay there again.

Awesome Cabin
This cabin is absolutely wonderful. Tons of space. Great bathrooms/showers. The boot/glove drier is a great addition. There is also a good amount of storage space for boards and snow gear. Heaters work great as well. Kitchen comes decently stocked. As with most rentals, if you plan on cooking a bunch I would suggest you bring your own cookware and sharp knives.

disappointed
this unit needs some major up dating. carpet filthy, cabinets in kitchen confusing and unorganized and lacking decent cooking pans. Not a decent skillet in the place. No hair dryer or coffee as listed. Front door lock needs to be replaced as it does not work properly. Also, I was not happy to pay an additional $111 to VRBO when we booked thru Mammoth Reservations. All fees should be included in the rental and not have an additional surprise cost put on credit card. I WOULD NOT BOOK THIS UNIT AGAIN AND I WOUILD NOT BOOK ANYTHING ON VRBO.

Mouse House
We experienced about 8 mice during our extended stay here in Chateau 42
The place was fairly clean, and the space is fairly large. We had 12 small bodies in this condo, and they fit fairly comfortably. Both grills ran out of gas at the pool by our second day of our stay.

Mid-week at Mammoth
We had 3 families/2 couples for the 3 bedrooms and 3 22-23 year old sons in the bunkroom. Plenty of room and better seating in the living room than the more luxurious "Bridges" 4 bedroom condos. Also, the "spa" was right next to the larger units at "Chateau Montagne" while at the "Bridges" it was near the smaller units and we actually drove to the jacuzzi there from the 4 bedroom condos. Preferred the drive to the slopes and convenience of spa location than the other way around. Both places had their advantages and are offered by "Mammoth Sierra Reservations", and they are who I strongly recommend as a property management to deal with in Mammoth. Condos are well stocked with necessities and luxuries, they responded quickly the one time (3 trips this season) we needed something, and our stays have been very enjoyable. Always enjoy a stop at "Burgers" (after cooking and eating in all week) on the way out the last day. Recommend stopping at "Copper Top BBQ" in Big Pine if you can wait that long to eat heading home south. Rated "Yelp's" top restaurant in CA 2015.......

Malone Univ Cross country
WE were very pleased with the 5 condos we stayed in last last week. Our collegiate athletes were very comfortable and actually had good runs from the front door.
