The house is located just a mile from the center of town, where you can find various shops, bars, and restaurants to explore. It's also less than 10 minutes from the entrance to Joshua Tree National Park, where you can spend your days hiking, rock climbing, and taking in the stunning desert landscape. If you prefer not to drive, there are several options for getting around town. You can rent a bike from one of the local shops or take a leisurely stroll through the neighborhood. There are also several tour companies in the area that offer guided hikes and other outdoor activities. If you're flying in, the nearest major airport is Palm Springs International Airport, which is about an hour's drive from Moonrise Ranch. You can also fly into Los Angeles International Airport, which is about two and a half hours away by car. We recommend renting a car to fully explore the area and get the most out of your stay. However, if you prefer not to drive, there are several shuttle services and ride-sharing options available. While the house has central A/C, please note that the desert can get quite hot during the summer months. We recommend bringing lightweight, breathable clothing and plenty of sunscreen and staying hydrated throughout your stay. The house is located in a quiet residential neighborhood, and we ask that you please be respectful of our neighbors and keep noise levels down, especially after 10 pm. Moonrise Ranch is a non-smoking property. Smoking is not allowed anywhere on the premises, including the outdoor areas. While the cowboy tub is a unique and enjoyable feature of the house, please use caution when using it and do not leave children unattended. We take great pride in maintaining a clean and comfortable environment for our guests. Please help us keep the house in good condition by cleaning up after yourself and respecting the property during your stay. Finally, we want you to enjoy your time at Moonrise Ranch to the fullest! We allow up one well-behaved dog and require a non-refundable $50 pet fee. If no pet fee is paid prior to arrival and pets are on the property (including any visits from friends during the day), there will be a $150 fee charged. We require all guests to be registered with names and emails. Our home is intended as a quiet retreat for up to 4 overnight guests. We do not allow parties. Daytime occupancy is limited to no more than 6 people at one time (including the overnight guests.) If these rules are found to be broken it will result in a $150 fee plus any damages. Noise carries in the wide open desert spaces. Please be respectful of the peaceful surroundings and keep quiet outdoor hours between 10pm and 8am and do not play any music or have loud conversations outdoors. Check-in time is after 3pm. You’re welcome to arrive later at your own discretion but if you encounter problems upon checking in late, please be advised that a response may not be received until the following morning. No professional photoshoots allowed. If you would like to use our property in a photoshoot a written/contract agreement must be reached with us beforehand. Fees starting at $500 per day, and proof of COI is required. Please wash your dishes prior to departure. If excessive dishes are left behind, an additional $25 housekeeping fee may be accessed. Additional rules - No smoking allowed inside or outside. You may be fined at minimum $500 for additional cleaning and remediation. - You must be 25 years old to reserve this property
