Location is great - surrounded by beautiful walks / hikes and only a 10/15min drive from Keswick. can get to many other nice places in less than 30 mins. IE Helvellyn, Cat Bells & High Spy, Scaffell Pike, whinlatter forest. 45 min to Ambleside. Room was lovely and VERY clean. Shower water Pressure and heat also WAY better than expected. Very good wifi too which helps planning he days out. Teas and coffee supplies socked up daily and bed made, floors cleaned etc. Breakfast is also decent - would recommend getting this included.

this may have just been our room / neighbours so don't want to discredit as we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend - we had a dog friendly room on ground floor. Soundproofing was quite an issue as could hear room above us and the one next to us pacing around and talking which was a bit of a disturbance but we were out most of the time! that would be our only feedback to improve on

we took out two dogs and throughout the stay they were so accommodating. lovely staff and a beautiful hotel will definitely will be back. perfect spot. lovely breakfast. the rooms were perfect.

Beautifully modernised hotel with rooms and facilities which exceeded expectations. The lovely staff are an asset to the hotel and couldnt have done more to make us feel welcome. Excellent breakfast, superb dinner, and the homemade and complimentary tea and scones were so welcome after a day on the fells!

As other reviewers have said, this is an absolute gem of a place. My room was so comfortable and absolutely spotless. The staff are so friendly and really can’t do enough, but the star of the visit was the food - just excellent. The menu is small but I still found it hard to choose - everything was so delicious. I wish I’d booked more than one night!

fabulous location and fantastic facilities. bedroom was pristine clean and decorated very well. en suite and shower were fabulous. food was brilliant and staff really helpful. we couldnt fault it and it had a drying room and plenty of parking imcluding a charging point for electric cars

clean, modern good location. food was in my eyes too cheap, absolutely fantastic 4 course meal on the night and good breakfast too.

Walls were not sound proofed. we could hear conversations and constant dog foot noise from 2 dogs from the above and adjacent room. When we booked the hotel it was sold as ‘dog friendly’ and at the time of booking no charge was mentioned nor was it mentioned on arrival, all that was said was “oh they have a dog” (conversation between staff). At the end of our trip we were charged for the dog staying with us, we found that to be a little rude to be honest. Due to the noise we didn’t get a good nights sleep. The room was also freezing during the night, no heating at all. It’s January so it’s needed! The above is a real shame as the rest of our stay was great.
