lovely food places very close by
the stairs were very tricky.

all was as we expected
exterior signage was non existent which made the hotel very difficult to find at night, in the driving rain

This was our second time staying in this hotel. Spacious double room, fantastic location, comfortable bed and great shower.
It’s just missing a fridge and a kettle.
7.0
Very good location. The heated floor in the bathroom was great. Very aesthetic room and nice view.
The bathroom had a drain smell whenever we entered the room but we didn’t spend much time there anyway. Bed was uncomfy.
10.0
Great building in a fab location with a canal view.
The hologram receptionist was a first for us!
Nothing.
7.0
As an introvert, the lack of interaction with staff was unique and the holographic check-in was really cool!
Climbing 59 stairs to my room (I counted).
8.0
Locationwise is unbeatable.
No staff at the property, which makes it a bit odd in case you need anything last minute.
Also, it is an old house. You can easily hear other guests talking or the water pipes functioning.

The location and the view were perfect
There were no slippers in the room and although we said it many times in 3 days stay they didnt bring. Also, there was a major problem with the shower. While having a shower, the whole bathroom was filled with full of water. As the water wasnt going through the drain.

It was very central and only 5 minutes’ walk from Amsterdam Centraal.
I wasn’t sure about the remote check-in and the holograph that appeared to guide me through my own key coding etc. It was obviously very clever using this technology and I know it’s useful when someone is arriving very late, as I was. I think it just takes a bit of getting used to!
There could also have been a bottle of water in the room on arrival.
5.0
The room was clean and decently maintained.
It was very expensive. For the price I expected very high end accommodations, which it wasn’t. There was also no staff on site- all communication and interaction was totally remote, including check in, check out, and all troubleshooting. I also hadn’t expected such steep and difficult (and frankly hazardous) stairs up to the room. It was very difficult to manage the stairs with my luggage.

The location was fine
The stairs were brutal. The room and toilet had mold smell. The AC did horrible noises every five minutes.

Pretty much nothing.
Literally one of the worst hotel stays I've had
To start - this is not a hotel.
It's more like a hostel.
There's no reception, and no stuff.
There's no elevator.
We had to carry all of our luggage to the third floor, in a very steep stairs.
The room was tiny and it was almost impossible to cross to the other side of the room without bumping the TV hanged on the wall.
The towels we had were dirty.
It's impossible to get to the hotel with a taxi.
And to top it off - we paid 300 euros per night for this. Ridiculous.

1. When I phoned from Australia I was told that all rooms had a safe deposit box. When we found there wasn't one I was told that one would be placed in my room. Then I was told too bad - no safe deposit box.
2. We were told to go to the local cafe for breakfast because a discount would be offered. No discount as available.

Room 2 - Great location and let us check in early. Great receptionist helping us virtually!
6.0
The room and bathroom were very clean. Centrally located. Checkin process was simple without direct person-person interaction.
There is no elevator. Spiral steps and very very difficult if taking a suitcase upstairs. I got a room all the way up - 60 steps. After the first 5 steps, we went back to the railway station for bag storage. Should have mentioned in the hotel facilities.

The room was lovely and spacious, especially for a hotel in Amsterdam. Location is great, in the Centre and on a canal. Lots of restaurants and pubs within short walking distances. Modern but helpful tech method of checking in. We were given an early check in, which after an 11 hour flight was greatly appreciated. I would stay there again.
The only issue were the stairs which were steep but this is an old historic building so it is what it is.

Very nice location, close to all the bars but on a very quiet street, pretty design, very clean.
once I had to wait for hot water to come with the shampoo all over my head but in 5-10 minutes it came back.
the stairs are super steep and the noise isolation is not great like in most beautiful historical buildings in Amsterdam.
7.0
The location was good, and the air conditioning worked great.
It was over priced for what it was. We paid for an upper level room with a view, and were given a room at the front, with a view, on the ground floor. We then had the noise from the door opening and closing during the night.
We paid close to $500 a night and requested the hand soap (which was empty on arrival) be replaced several times, before finally the person on the screen
told me I could go upstairs myself and take it from another room. The bathroom door wouldn’t close, and I feel at this price point this isn’t good enough. The exhaust fan in the bathroom didn’t work either.
5.0
central location albeit noisy at night
no real staff presence. no lobby to leave cases or take time out . room was ok but sparsely furnished- no lamps/mirrors!
6.0
location.
the value of money in return for what you get. there were no facilities, staircase was a disaster.
8.0
situation - quirky
no lift

Fairly good location on a relatively quiet street in a one-minute walk from the very center of it all. Five minutes walk from the Centraal Station. Self check-in and self check-out feature is nice. The holographic assistant in the corridor is a little creepy but fun. Also, it can also be helpful when it's there. Bathroom floor heating is nice.
Room 2 on the ground floor is just near the entrance to the hotel, and the main door is the loudest I've ever heard. People are coming in and out all the time, and every time the door slams like crazy. The door closing mechanism is overqualified, it should resign from the current job and make a career in wrestling. The sound-proofing is non-existent, the walls are made of paper. Flushing a toilet in the room above mine sounds like a wooden clown falling down the stairs. I'm surprised by how water coming through the pipes can sound like falling gravel. You can hear people checking in clear and loud. Someone drops something on the floor, it sounds like a demolition team.
The windows don't open at all, and the only way to get some fresh air is to use a ridiculously loud ventilation fan.
Once we came in after a walk, eager to get inside, and both our cards wouldn't let us into our room. We tried to get help from the hologram in the corridor (not in the hall, there is no hall), and the hologram was offline. The phone number of the reception is nowhere to be seen so, I had to look forbit in the Booking.com app. Finally, i found the phone number, but it was not answering. A cleaning lady was coming through the corridor, we explained the problem, she called someone and the hologram came to life, helping us with some new cards.
The facilities in the room are rather minimalistic, and not in a good way. There is an open rack with hangers instead of a wardrobe. No safe. No kettle, just a Nespresso machine.
The pillows are too high. The matress is too soft on the sides, so I kept rolling towards the edge of the bed.
I do not recommend this hotel.

The rooms were spacious, clean, great location. The staff were super helpful and friendly. hologram check in was cool and overall wonderful experience
Could of used another mirror outside the bathroom as very small and would fog up. But not a major deal

the bed was comfortable
the stairs are ridiculous for travelers with bags ! also room smelled like dirty canal water… disgusting.
5.0
good location and rooms comfortable,
stairs are a big problem if you have a big suitcase, I was fortunate to find someone to help me with my bags I couldn’t have managed my own. There were no water glasses in the room or any other basic facilities to get something to drink or eat any where in the hotel.
5.0
clean
there was no one to assist - we were I. the top floor - no communication in room - no tv (only you tube and Netflix if you had your own log in - no hot water in the shower - no view from the ‘junior suite’ in the top floor - a coffee machine with no instructions- would be better with a kettle
9.0
very good location, clean, tasteful decoration, comfortable and spacious room
i think the property is still new and they were doing renovations so it was a little noisy the first day when we arrived during working hours, but this is temporary due to renovations. so not really a problem.
