The staff is very professional and kind, always at disposal. The apartment is modern and well equipped, located in the center of Funchal but the street is very quiet. I totally recommend it.

Location is great. Views from the “birds nest” ( as I call it, on the top floor, up 4 flights of stairs +another flight to get to bedroom and bathroom). Elevator only carries luggage to the 3rd floor, must hand carry to the next floor.

The lounge space is extremely small. Kitchen had limited supplies for eating and cooking. For the size of the accommodation, it was overpriced for sure.

Carolina was very helpful and was there to welcome us on arrival. She would message us every few days to see how we were going and if we needed anything and was very prompt with any requests to ensure that we were comfortable.. She was very friendly and made us feel like were were at home. The location was perfect and the apartment was very clean and modern. The views from our room were spectacular and we were also happy to have the verandah to hang out our washing and have somewhere to relax.

The sofa bed wasn't very comfortable and we had to end up requesting another mattress as the initial mattress was very thin. As it was quite warm when we were there, I would recommend air-conditioning in the bedroom as it got quite warm and the fan was fairly effective but very noisy. We had the apartment on Level 4 which had beautiful views and was quite spacious. The only downfall was that the elevator only worked for the luggage and we had to climb 5 flight of stairs.

Very central. Nice apartment fairly well equipped. Veronica was a friendly and efficient greeter. The apartment is well designed and comfortable. It overlooks a quiet pedestrian street. Nice original stone features.

No coffee filter machine. No microwave. No toaster. The lighting is very harsh and the only floor light in the living room had a flickering bulb.

The location couldn’t be better. Just in the city center. Staff really friendly.

The apartment is a bit claustrophobic. It has no views, windows are for another building wall. Perfect for a short stay, not comfortable for a long stay for this reason. It didn’t have microwaves but the staff was kind enough to let us one, as we were traveling with out child.

Our stay was mostly very positive. The apartment is in the center of Funchal: there are a lot of shops (like Zara, Douglas, Pharmacies) around it and it is very close to supermarkets and restaurants as well and close to the beach on foot. For us one of the best part was that it is very close to bus stops (and also to the main bus station) because we did not rent a car. The lady who helped us a lot was Veronica, she sent us some tours (we booked one: a jeep tour to Pico do Arieiro was a very nice trip) and she was almost always available through WhatsApp. I attached some pictures: the neighbourhood of the flat, ice cream close to the flat, the beach close to the flat.

There are just a couple of things to mention. The apartment unfortunately did not have salt, sugar, oils so we had to buy some and had to leave it there because obviously we cannot bring them home. The flat is above a restaurant (fortunately it was closed during night so it did not bother our sleep) and almost every time we unlocked the front door there were a lot of small insects around us. Lastly I unfortunately left one of my expensive night creams there and I only noticed on the plane so after we landed I contacted the apartment but they had already thrown it out which was very sad for me so before you leave the apartment make sure you do not leave anything there.

The location was better than we expected. Very spacious apartment with all amenities you need. I liked the new system of lock code, no need to worry about the loosing the key:) there was very nice terrace on the 3rd floor with beautiful view to the city.

Everything was perfect!

We rented a studio on the 3rd floor for 2 weeks and we loved it! Centrally located, at walking distance of the Cathedral, the main squares Columbus and Municipio with their nearby museums, Mercado dos Lavradores, Avenida Arriaga, the Old City and all other central attractions, including bus stations, the cable car and several supermarkets. The hosts Veronica, Caterina and Lugero approached us one day in advance and provided instructions on how to find the place; one of them also waited for us to greet us and show our studio. The studio was new and very clean; free cleaning was provided once per week. The room was large, with a small terrace and a modern kitchen quite well equipped, even with a washing machine that we did not use. The free internet worked well, the bed was comfortable, the shower was great and the staff was kind and helpful. The building has a lift used only for luggage, and at its entrance there is a small restaurant offering delicious local foods at reasonable prices. All the neighboring streets offer good options for shopping and for food and drinks. We visited in February so no need for AC, instead we needed a radiator that the host was very kind to provide.

We would have appreciated to find in the kitchen a cutting board and some basics like sel, pepper, oil and vinegar, as it makes no sense to buy these when you stay for only a couple of days. As we stayed almost 2 weeks we bought and used them; even though the recipients remained almost full.

Very central. Supermarket and shops nearby and easy to reach from airport by bus. Just stop at Mercado and type Largo do chafariz into Google. Don't follow the address given by booking as it will not take you to the entrance. Sunny balcony, TV channels for different languages, and a very helpful host. The room was not facing the street and had light blackout curtains. I have slept very well

-No washing powder or dryer -no salt, oil or basics to cook -not mapped correctly in Google maps

The location was perfect. Close to everything. No complaints at all. I would recommend to anyone going to Funchal in the future.

Being from out of town, it was a little hard to find the place initially. Even the taxi drivers didn’t know where it was exactly. However, they came to rescue us which was very nice. Other than that, all was great.

it’s a great location! a newly refurbished old building right near the Cathedral. it’s quiet,a spacious flat, comfortable bed. clean. and all facilities we needed. Veronica has been such a help during our stay. Both staff lovely.

Just initially finding the apartment block.its a bit tricky

Our host Veronica was SO super helpful during our entire stay. She had great advice for things to see and do, and helped us book several excursions, our rental car, and transportation too and from the airport. She really helped make our trip incredible! Can't thank her or recommend her enough! The apartment had lots of space, a comfortable bed and pillows, windows to let in fresh air, and access to a rooftop patio with a view of part of the city. Great location! We would definitely stay again!

Our room didn't have much of a view, and there was some minor noise from the restaruant below (to be expected in a central part of town). The selection of cookware in the kitchen was a bit limited, but there was enough there for us to cook a meal. The living room furniture could be a bit more comfortable. The TV was quite small, but what are you doing watching TV in the apartment while you are in Madeira? The bathroom shower had a loose drain cover which was slightly annoying, that was probably the worst thing in all of these minor complaints. Really hard to come up with things I didn't like. Would stay again!

The location was central to the city of Funchal with lots of amenities around which made it easier to explore the city and all of the wonderful things it had to offer. The apartment was also very spacious and was clean and well presented. we were able to make use of the washing machine and although there was space to dry our clothes on the patio/roof we were able to dry them in the apartment. The beds were comfortable and we were also able to make full use of the kitchen. We were also given towels through out our stay which helped.

we had an issue with ants in the bathroom and kitchen but the hostess was lovely and looked into this as soon as we informed her. Although the doors were coded, we we were only given 1 key to share between 3 of us for the front gate which had to be locked each time we entered and left the property. Maybe if we had 2 keys it would have made leaving and entering a little easier.

very modern, extremely clean and well ordered. The facilities were excellent and the security was first class.
