Style of building and the warmth of the staff. The team were very welcoming.
The bed was very soft and pillows definitely needed replacing

spacious suite (upgraded), large bathroom, traditional approach
couldnt make the TV work, lockbox was tricky as there were two places to align the numbers and one of them didnt work - meant a but of fiddling around.

Great location, comfortable room and I really loved the classic heritage feel of the hotel.
Nothing major. Everything was fine during our stay.

Good location. Room clean.
Dark and gloomy generally and in the room - small overlooked window. No reception after 4 or 5 pm. When there's an evening function they leave the front door open - but as there's no reception staff anyone can walk in so didn't feel very safe. A very old lift - and a notice to say off the lift breaks down to call the engineers yourself. Overall didn't feel that welcoming.

"Spacious room, friendly and helpful staff member, Jessica. Also had to get hold of after hours as we locked ourselves out. Very sorry staff were so helpful and prompt. Thank you. Loved the lift!"
